“Visited on a Thursday lunchtime for our anniversary. We’ve been to 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the last year, one with 2 stars and this was considerably better than any of them. (FYI I’m talking about Belcanto in Lisbon, The Man Behind the Curtain in Leeds and Behind in London.) The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and the flavours worked so well together. Service was proactive and very friendly and genuine but not over the top. A relaxed, non pretentious place that we will definitely be returning to. Food was £188 for 2, including 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine, as well as tip.”

“Peak District National Park Review: Stunning Scenery and Endless Adventures ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Peak District National Park is a breathtaking destination for nature lovers, offering stunning landscapes, rolling hills, and picturesque villages. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just looking for a peaceful walk, the park has something for everyone, with well-marked trails like Mam Tor, Kinder Scout, and Dovedale. The park is home to diverse wildlife, charming historic sites, and scenic picnic spots, making it perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Adventure seekers can enjoy rock climbing, cycling, and even caving, while those looking for relaxation can explore traditional pubs and tea rooms in the surrounding villages. While the beauty of the park is undeniable, some areas can get crowded during peak seasons, and parking can be limited in popular spots. However, with so many trails and open spaces, there’s always somewhere to explore. Overall, the Peak District offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, making it a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone looking to escape into nature.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weekend stay, for our special occasion. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Our luxurious room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. All of our meals were delicious, and we were very impressed with the extensive wine list. Our whole experience was delightful, no doubt due to the great attention to detail that everyone has here. The fabulous grounds and gardens add to the serenity of this beautiful place. We are so glad that we chose Fischers and hope to return..... This is a truly special place ❤️”

“Had an excellent meal last night, staff were attentive but not intrusive. Drinks are fairly priced and they have a selection of local ales. Food from the grazing menu was excellent on every front. The notables were the cote du boef which was well worth the £40 charged and the blue Monday dessert which is blue cheese and a honey & ginger pastry. Spent £200 on a meal for two, so not an every week establishment but great for a treat. Definitely would come again as menu changes regularly.”

“We had our wedding at The White Hart and we had the most incredible day. The staff are so attentive and kind, the food was incredible and we could not have asked for more. Katy the coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly, and the day was perfect from start to finish. Thank you so much to the White Hart team, you all work so incredibly hard and we appreciated every person involved in our day. Cannot recommend this wedding venue enough!”

“Combined a visit to see the hall with the Christmas market and was very impressed. The building is very interesting and in amazing condition for a medieval manor. Access might be tricky if you’re not good with a few steps though. The Christmas market was the best we’ve ever been to. Over a hundred stalls with unique and beautiful items at a reasonable price plus a food court, mulled wine and entertainment. Top day out.”

“Absolutely fantastic weekend staying at The Blind Bull. The room was perfect in every way, lots of little thoughtful touches, comfy bed & gorgeous bathroom! The enclosed patio area was perfect for our little dog to explore. The pub was everything we had hoped for, cosy, charming, friendly staff and good quality drinks. The food in the evening was sensational & we thoroughly enjoyed every single part of it. Oh and I don’t know what you do to the mushrooms on the breakfast but they were so delicious! We will 100% be back here for our next child free break away, it was perfect. Thankyou”

“We came here to celebrate our engagement, as I had proposed earlier that day. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent, and as I had mentioned the engagement upon booking, they went the extra mile to decorate the table and offered us a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival! To add to that both the food we had for mains and dessert was superb. Thank you again for such a nice evening to put the cherry on the top of a fantastic day.”
