A lovely little place, situated in the middle of the village of Hartington. Great staff, and the locals who popped in and out were all very friendly and welcoming. Decent priced drinks too, all lead for a great experience. Thank you all for the welcome. I shall be back again.

Friendly Staff, quality prices, a classic Legion Boozer in a beautiful village. Must visit.

Meeting some friends after the Xmas break for lunch we had a long uninterrupted catch up over platefuls of good homely food. A special mention must go to the Steak Pie 😋

We stopped off here for a little break on the way to Matlock Bath. The bar was small and cozy (ideal on a winters day!) and the service was excellent. Beers were good and whilst we didn't stay for food, all the tables were reserved, so it must be good! Might stop off for dinner on the way home.

We were staying in a camp site locally. Cycled to the pub, we had made a reservation. Very pleasant staff, good menu choices. We both chose the pie. It was a good portion and very tasty. Good choice of deserts too. Would return.

This was our first time visiting here and will not be our last, beautiful 30 minute drive out from Cheadle area and this place was amazing, food was brilliant and well priced, staff were friendly and the little shop, although a few items were a little expensive in there, like young childrens colouring books at £5.99! it was still a lovely place to be. They also served Gluten free, so I would be happy to go back with my son, who has Celiac, highly recommend a visit to here and a drive around the surrounding areas which are also beautiful. The only thing I would suggest, is making a large option for drinks, as the regular option at the minute, is a little small. But I'd be nit picking if I thought that was a negative, compared to how amazing the food was. Thank you

Yesterday we shared a special birthday celebration at the tea rooms. The food and service were brilliant, the atmosphere and decor lovely and the catering for various dietary needs and 4 hungry children was impeccable. From booking to consumption the team were great to deal with and I would heartily recommend the tea rooms to anyone whether for a casual drop in or an organised tea party.

Best place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.

It's a yha so expect basic bedrooms. Self catering available and they have a bar and serve food as well from a great menu. Fabulous walking from the door and the building is beautiful. Hartington is lovely. Worth getting a pastie or pie from the small shop down the hill for your walks. Couple of pubs and a great cheese shop also to be found in Hartington.

Cute little cafe, which also contains the village post office. As mentioned several times before, service was quite slow. We arrived at 2.30pm and were keen to order hot food before the 3pm cut off point. The cafe wasn’t busy (only one other table was occupied) but we had to wait for around 15 minutes before a staff member came to take our order. My daughter-in-law and I just wanted cakes, but my son wanted hot food, and the staff member questioned whether or not the kitchen was still open - which was when I pointed what was written on the menu, as well as the fact that we’d been waiting for 15 minutes to be acknowledged. She agreed and we ordered. I had the Apple Crumble with ice-cream and although it wasn’t the most aesthetically appealing dish, it was delicious. My son and daughter-in-law also enjoyed their food. Despite the slow service I would still visit here again. The staff member we spoke to was lovely, and I have no complaints about her at all. Maybe the kitchen was winding down (hence her initial response) but if we’d been served more rapidly our orders would have been in half an hour before the kitchen closes.

Such a cute shop I found in Hartington village in Peak District. Which is located exactly in the centre of the village. Best teas and coffees Homemade cakes and sandwiches can try here. We just walked around the shops and enjoyed the sunset.

Fabulous tea room in such a cosy place. We went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy, we got some ice cream first which was delightful and then moved onto a Bakewell cake, coffee, hot chocolate and a cheese and pesto panini. As we turned up just after 3pm, they stopped serving hot food, however, they accommodated to us as we wanted a panini and the press was still on which was so lovely of them. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. The staff were really accommodating and kind. There were little candles and honey/ gift bits which was a nice touch.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming pub in Hartington, and I can confidently say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The service from Becky was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best experience possible. Becky went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Now, onto the food—simply outstanding! Every dish was clearly made with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. We ordered the beef burger with chips and never eaten beef that tasty and after asking found out it was locally sourced. What I say about the doughnut and ice cream for dessert. I will not forget it, absolutely delicious! To top it all off, the cozy setting, and the friendly locals made for the perfect pub experience. Wow. This is a beautiful pub serving really delicious food. We loved it so much came 2 nights in a row. There was so much choice...everyone was really friendly and our dogs were made to feel welcome. 100%recommend.

We visited yesterday for food and we were immediately blown away by how kind, friendly and helpful the staff were. They were really dog friendly despite him being quite muddy from a local walk. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again, thank you

We stayed at the Devonshire arms for one night as we had an early walk the next day. The room exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed and more. well decorated and luxurious. The pub is lovely in an amazing location. Food was great pub food. They couldn’t be more welcoming. We will be back!
