Busy hostel, speaks for its popularity. Slightly out of village, car park and some on road parking. Bar/ cafe and self catering kitchen. Various sized rooms and camping pods. Good views.

An excellent and genuinely historical country hotel. My room was modern, clean and comfortable, if a little compact.

Very nice stay. Comfortable bed and dog friendly room. Walks from the hotel. Excellent evening meal and breakfast we look forward to staying again another time. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We got married at Biggin on the 06/09/24 and we are so glad we chose this venue. From the moment we walked in to view the place it felt like home and we knew it was the venue for us. Nothing was too much and Paris the wedding co-ordinator was an absolute god send from start to finish. It was competitively priced and we were able to have our wedding exactly how we wanted it. The wedding breakfast food was unbelievable and our bbq in the evening was just perfect. All the guests commented on how amazing the food was and how lovely the venue was and the relaxed vibe. Everyone loved the rooms and the little extra touches such as fresh milk in every room and packed lunches to take home. All the staff worked so hard, were friendly and professional and the day run so smoothly and it was just perfect. We were even able to have our wedding outside in the sunshine. Thank you so much for making our special day a day to remember and we can’t wait to come back for more meals and to see you all - Scarlett and Guy xx

Meeting some friends after the Xmas break for lunch we had a long uninterrupted catch up over platefuls of good homely food. A special mention must go to the Steak Pie 😋

Lovely place. Clean room, perfect size for 2. Food is to a high standard Landlady is super nice. Be careful to check your booking date as some websites like to jump it forward 1 month lol 🙃. Thank-you for sorting that out comfortably for us

We were staying in a camp site locally. Cycled to the pub, we had made a reservation. Very pleasant staff, good menu choices. We both chose the pie. It was a good portion and very tasty. Good choice of deserts too. Would return.

Best place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.

Yesterday we shared a special birthday celebration at the tea rooms. The food and service were brilliant, the atmosphere and decor lovely and the catering for various dietary needs and 4 hungry children was impeccable. From booking to consumption the team were great to deal with and I would heartily recommend the tea rooms to anyone whether for a casual drop in or an organised tea party.

4 of us stopped for a quick lunch half way through a demanding 12 mile Peak walk . The food was fresh, tasty, using local produce, with a good choice and delivered to our table quickly. The staff were excellent, the cafe was completely full and it was good value. Great stop over!

This is a really lovely Tea Room. We parked nearby and wandered in, past the beautiful entrance and the Queen Victoria postbox (the tea room also serves as the village post office). We were promptly welcomed and seated. The menu was really lovely, as was the food. The three of us really enjoyed the entire experience. So much so, we decided to top it off with ice cream!

Such a cute shop I found in Hartington village in Peak District. Which is located exactly in the centre of the village. Best teas and coffees Homemade cakes and sandwiches can try here. We just walked around the shops and enjoyed the sunset.

Fabulous tea room in such a cosy place. We went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy, we got some ice cream first which was delightful and then moved onto a Bakewell cake, coffee, hot chocolate and a cheese and pesto panini. As we turned up just after 3pm, they stopped serving hot food, however, they accommodated to us as we wanted a panini and the press was still on which was so lovely of them. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. The staff were really accommodating and kind. There were little candles and honey/ gift bits which was a nice touch.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming pub in Hartington, and I can confidently say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The service from Becky was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best experience possible. Becky went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Now, onto the food—simply outstanding! Every dish was clearly made with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. We ordered the beef burger with chips and never eaten beef that tasty and after asking found out it was locally sourced. What I say about the doughnut and ice cream for dessert. I will not forget it, absolutely delicious! To top it all off, the cozy setting, and the friendly locals made for the perfect pub experience. We stayed at the Devonshire arms for one night as we had an early walk the next day. The room exceeded our expectations! Everything we needed and more. well decorated and luxurious. The pub is lovely in an amazing location. Food was great pub food. They couldn’t be more welcoming. We will be back!

Wow. This is a beautiful pub serving really delicious food. We loved it so much came 2 nights in a row. There was so much choice...everyone was really friendly and our dogs were made to feel welcome. 100%recommend.

Really good. Food to the left side of the pub bar to the right. Very cosy and busy staff - they handled all the patrons well. Went for the sharing platter and wasn't disappointed at all. Curry inspired nibbles and was enough to fill us after venturing up to thors cave. Plenty parking to the front and the food came out piping.
