On the 1st of November I had the most incredible 40th birthday party at La Rock. Daiva, Nick and all of the staff absolutely blew myself, my husband and all of the guests away with their exceptional standard of service. Now as regular customers we are used to their high standards but with 55 guests, nearly all of which were drinking they made sure everyone was attended to leaving everyone as impressed as we always are. There was never a queue at the bar, the food was incredible and the way they constantly checked in with me to make sure I was enjoying myself and everything was ok just added to the whole experience. I have the most ridiculously long list of foods I have to avoid and this never seems to be a problem. No matter how complex this gets they take it in their stride and serve me with dishes that look as good as every other guests. Their relaxed and calm manner helped when at times the night became quite overwhelming. I really can not recommend them more highly ❤️

The most consistent food and service you could hope for anywhere in Nottingham. The team are wonderful, the atmosphere is very chilled and the food is exceptional.

Absolutely brilliant lunch time visit ! We did 3 courses and it was incredible value - with a few little treats in between and bread to die for.... the service was impeccable and the food quality was top notch. Wonderful restaurant and even added an extra touch for my birthday ! Highly reccomend :)

Really enjoyable and I would love to come back. The staff are great. The food is delicious with a relatively simple menu, it hits the spot for the price. Things were perfectly cooked and the amuse-bouche between courses was an amazing little treat. I had the tortellini smoked chicken for starters and the beef fillet for mains. It was delicious. My partner was not drinking and there was a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. Over all a great experience I would want to do again. You should book before you come.

The atmosphere was lovely from the get-go with absolutely amazing service and gorgeous food, everything culminated was perfect in every sense of the word. Flavours that complimented each other fantastically, a warm and cozy environment and phenomenal and friendly service, I truly don't have enough kind words for this place, everything was spectacular!

Heaven in a bowl served by friendly staff in a welcoming environment. I hope this place is around for many more years to come!

The foods are great! We had ramen, salmon sashimi rice and deep fried octopus. I would recommend all of them. Price is very good too. Very good service.

The lapis lounge is a great place for a meet up for a coffee or a glass of wine & a light lunch , or maybe something more substantial as they have a good variety of food options covered , ranging from cakes & pastries to charcuterie plates & cheese plates etc , they also have a good range of quality wines on offer @ sensible cost & they are not the typical supermarket style wine's but selected for the lounge with great thought from a quality vitner . The vibe of the lapis is boutique chic inspired & it's decor is crisp & is a hue of petrol blues & peaceful light greens , with some tropical leaf wallpaper features , which with the warm glow of the retro inspired lighting feature all add to quite an intimate romantic vibe in the evening . The lapis lounge is an attention to detail venue & it's premises upon my visit were exceptionally clean in all areas & the WC facilities were spotless & we're decorated to the same standard as the lounge . The staff/owners upon my visit were most polite & welcoming & were very enthusiastic & although I arrived soon after opening my choice of coffee was served within minutes after my order . The lapis lounge is quite an upmarket style establishment & in the evening it would be a good place visit for a special treat with friends or that special person in your life , although no dress code is stated may I suggest casual smart or upwards as it is a little bit special !! . Please may I add although the lounge is a licensed premises for alcohol it is not a pub style venue & it's ethos is quality food & drinks , coupled with good service in pleasant surroundings . The lapis lounge is an amazing find & although a local business has all the attraction & style of a city venue , right here in sandiacre . Well worth a visit ! .

We recently hosted our friend's baby shower at Lapis Lounge and are delighted we chose to do so! Jazz and her team were so helpful from the planning stages, right up till the end of the event itself, including being highly accommodating and thorough when it came to dietary requirements. The afternoon tea was delicious and plentiful. With exclusive use of the venue, we were able to have a relaxed afternoon celebrating her next exciting chapter. A perfect venue, thank you!

I’ve been searching for a coffee shop close to home that offers the same warmth and charm as one I fell in love with in another town, and I’m thrilled to say I’ve found it at Lapis Lounge. From the moment I walked in, the cosy atmosphere and welcoming vibe instantly made me feel at ease. The interior has a beautiful, relaxed aesthetic that reminds me of one of my favourite spots, but with its own unique character that makes it truly special. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious – you can really taste the care and quality in every sip and bite. What stood out to me the most was how comfortable my 1-year-old son felt. He was remarkably well-behaved, which is rare for him in public spaces, so it’s clear that the environment here is as calming as it is inviting. On top of that, the customer service was excellent. Jazz and Chris were so friendly, attentive, and made thoughtful suggestions that really enhanced our experience. They truly looked after us from the moment we walked in, making us feel right at home. A huge thank you to both of them for creating such a lovely space. I’ll definitely be returning – it’s a gem in the area!

A gorgeous new gem! Stumbled upon Lapis Lounge for some last minute 30th birthday drinks with my husband and couldn’t have been happier. The Passionfruit Martini mocktail was absolutely stunning, and the owner was so welcoming and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The decor is beautifully maximalist, creating such a special atmosphere. The perfect place if you’re after somewhere less clubby for a Saturday night. Can’t wait to come back and visit, hugely recommend!! 🥰

We went for our anniversary dinner and the experience was absolutely wonderful. All the Staff were super friendly and the food was incredible We had the beef and lamb on the Friday meal ....wow !!!! Delicious We will definitely be back

We love the Thursday evening specials. I need to eat gluten free and I always have so much choice with the options, I think this is the only place I can share a tapas style spread with my husband instead of looking at "what I could have had"and feeling jealous. We last enjoyed the middle eastern tapas which was absolutely stunning in taste and appearance. The staff always make you feel welcome and looked after. I only wish we discovered the place sooner .

A lovely meal with great service and food at a great price. We had arancini, crab and slow cooked beef starters, aubergine ragu, lamb Shank, butter paneer and the burger. All the food was tasty and very well cooked with great flavours. Check out the lamb Shank picture. The service was excellent and friendly from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Just a really great evening with a table of 8 of us. Thank you.

Overnight stay, room very tired and needs work but bed clean and comfy. No breakfast served here but plenty of options elsewhere. However, restaurant is amazing, chefs Ryan and Jade really know their stuff. Place was fully booked out, with parties being turned away. The rest of the crew here are happy smiley and so welcoming, would not hesitate to return. Thanks for a great stay x

Lovely freshly made waffles and crepes in a relaxed atmosphere. Delicious eggs Benedict. The waffles are huge, but perfect to share between two people. Interesting popcorn chicken with BBQ sauce! Good cookie dough too...

i ordered from here near enough every week, they always take requests which is amazing! they send lovely messages and their food is always tasting amazing. me and my boyfriend went there for breakfast a few weeks ago. the staff were so polite and the restaurant was so tidy and clean. amazing service xx

What a beautiful little eatery that has something for everyone! We went on pancake day so it was an easy decision to order the crepes! We had both sweet and savoury and both were delightful. Special mention to the cheese spinach and garlic crepe though, I will return for that alone! Lovely, friendly service and will definitely be back! Ps 30% off on a Tuesday meant we also got an utter bargain! Thank you for a fabulous lunch

Good food, very nice pancakes and breakfasts. Good location with street parking. Service takes a little while because there is just one cook. Very quiet during the day.

4.5 stars ⭐️ First time visiting ZHUG and the food was delicious. We ordered the cheezy gyros chicken and the mediterranean lamb, however, the gyros chicken had very little meat and it was mostly fries and cheese which was a little disappointing for the price point. The chicken that it did come with was absolutely delicious, so it would’ve been lovely to have some more! We were accidentally brought a halloumi pitta (main) instead of the halloumi fries (side) that we ordered, however staff were very generous and offered us to have this at no extra cost. The restaurant has a cosy, neighborhood atmosphere with friendly and welcoming staff. We would definitely return to ZHUG!

As a family of food lovers we love supporting authentic places. You won’t be disappointed . A great range on the menu all ours were delicious, lovely staff, friendly and busy without any stress. Definitely worth the trip.

We celebrated my brother's birthday at this Italian restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to make the day special, even singing a cheerful "Happy Birthday" in Italian to my brother. We were made to feel truly excellent from start to finish. These amazing memories are ones we will cherish fondly. Highly recommend!

Lovely food, friendly staff , enjoys every time in there!

We were driving from Yorkshire to London on the M1 and did not want to stop at motorway services. We discovered this place and it was a lovely surprise. Very friendly proprietor and tasty food at an incredibly reasonable price. Prompt Service, lovely lunch and soon on our way again.

This is a fabulous restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh and the service is prompt. I can’t fault anything as it is really good value as well.

First time coming here, the atmosphere was good and the food was good, I had a cheese scone and a slice of lemon cake, yum. The other people in my group had allergies which were catered for without any fuss. My only complaint was that I asked for Coffee and Walnut cake but our server Bill said there wasn't any, and he refused to bang one out for me, much to my dissapointment, hence only the 1 star. Apart from that he was very attentive and did a super job!!

We have come here a few times over the past couple of years and always had an excellent experience. The chilli jam on both the burger and pizza was a new one for me, and I'd recommend it. Every time the staff have been excellent and always pleasant and friendly.

Solid, customisable hearty breakfast with a warm welcome! I've known this corner of my home town for almost 6 decades but decided to go for breakfast at Copper Cogs for the first time today. Decor-wise the place does its best to create a themed experience in what used to be many years before, a furniture store and estate agents. The staff are all friendly welcoming and helpful. Speed of service is relaxed, but if you go in with a mind for taking your time, you won't be disappointed. Regarding the food - absolutely solid - ordered the full English swapping beans out for mushrooms and toast for tomatoes to avoid all the carbs and felt that if I wanted, i could make any additional mods had I desired. The place, for a late Tuesday morning in Long Eaton, was nicely busy and had a warm, friendly energy to it. Have resolved to return again after such a great little meal. Nice one!

Went with my partner on Monday for our monthly date together, notified staff in the booking they my girlfriend is hard of hearing and would prefer a quiet corner and we couldnt be more grateful they put is in a very nice corner where my girlfriend could hear me without discomfort the staff where so friendly and kind. The food was excellent gotta say best burger I’ve had ins while and the starters are so good especially the cocktails! Would recommend and definitely coming back again!

Love love love this place - My go-to whenever I'm in the area! Wood-fired pizzas are 10/10, and delicious cocktails too - Hornstar Martini is a firm fave. Service is always excellent and just generally love the whole vibe. Definitely recommend!

Super Pizza night and pint. Great service, nice place. 100% recommended to everyone instead of going to Nottingham centre. Stout is also good quality.

I had booked a table for dinner as all my friends rave about the food. They weren't wrong!!! We ordered the set menu as well as an additional three dishes and everything was super delicious and freshly prepared. The Asian slaw is absolutely incredible, best I've ever had! As usual we had ordered too much food but I took the leftovers home to have for lunch. The staff were welcoming and seated us straight away and we're attentive taking our orders etc. It's not the most romantic place to go and eat but overall the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was really busy. I cannot wait to go back!
