So, we have used the take away service twice since it recently changed hands. The food was delicious! The atmosphere when picking up is lovely, everything inside appears clean and tables are nicely laid out. Great value and would highly recommend.

We only ever order from here. Never had a bad meal. Really fresh food and so tasty. Delivery is always really quick and friendly drivers. Best in the area!

What can I say but this was fabulous. Service was outstanding and the dishes were superb and well presented. Flights were excellent and complimented the dishes extremely well. The team and service were exceptional. The only down side for us was the table placement . In the middle of the restaurant, not very intimate and a lot of through traffic.

The Lighthouse's Summer 24' menu is extraordinary . We thoroughly enjoyed all dishes which went very well with the drinks pairing. Every dish, from the Japanese Milk Bread with butter to the Orkney Scallop with massaman and chili lime cashews, was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Overall, the Summer menu at The Lighthouse is a testament to their culinary excellence and I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience here last night celebrating a belated anniversary. The food was incredible - our particular favourites were the 4 courses to start and the two desserts, but we weren’t disappointed with even one dish. The service was another highlight, everyone was very attentive and polite, however one of the service staff in particular (I apologise for not remembering her name!) went above and beyond with her drink recommendations, her attitude and conversation, answering any questions we had, and thoroughly helped elevate our experience even more! I cannot wait to come back again to try their different seasonal menus, this has been a real find and I really hope they get their Michelin star soon as they really deserve it. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable evening!

The George had 5*review on Tripadvisor so we decided to pay a visit. We had a warm welcome, delicious starters and even more delicious main courses. Our four-legged family member also had a warm welcome. Highly recommended

Been here a couple of times now and both times the service has been fantastic. Even on a busy Saturday evening we were served quickly. The food is good quality for the price that you pay. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Looking for lunch we called in. Good two for £20 menu. We had the pork roast dinner (lots of other choices) and a few pints of real ale. Excellent value. And Dog friendly.

Went for Sunday lunch. I've been meaning to try it out and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef cheeks (special of the day) which were melt in the mouth. The portions are very generous with a separate boat of gravy to go with the mushroom and ale sauce it came with. The service was top notch and the beer (Thornbridge Jaipur) was just the right pint to go with the meal. My partner had the turkey roast with a glass of red which she really enjoyed. We will visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd suggest phoning in advance since we had the choice of getting there in 10 or waiting until after 3 to eat.

Have been to this restaurant many times and it is always great. It is one of the best restaurants in the area. The food is traditional and great quality with generous portions. The staff, although young, have been trained in excellent customer service skills. There are fantastic views from the outside terrace. Will be back!

Took my parents here for dinner. Great array of choices on the menu and the food was amazing! Definitely a standard way above classic pub food. Small range of draft beers and the atmosphere is quite quiet but that made a nice change. Overall would recommend and will be coming back!

Four of us have just had dinner there and the food was absolutely amazing. Great quality, great selection and lovely log burner to sit next to. It was one of our friends first visit and she stated it’s the best food she’s eaten out in years. Thank you for great evening - we will be back

Would definitely recommend & will definitely return! We visited the White Bear on Saturday 19th August & we must say it’s one of the best meals we have had for a very long time! The food was amazing, the service was great & all in all it was such a lovely evening. Myself & my partner had the Brie in Parma ham & the Black pudding scotch egg to start, then the Belly pork & the Fillet steak for main, then the creme brûlée & chocolate & hazelnut parfait for dessert. All six dishes were absolutely delicious, we couldn’t have been happier with our choices. We also had wine with our meals which was very high quality. We would 100% recommend the White Bear & will definitely be returning! Thank you to everyone at the White Bear!

Visiting friends and staying on silverhill caravan site with our 2 Labradors and arrived Friday evening to a very busy pub, wasn’t holding out much hope of getting a table but was greeted by a lovely lady who explained dogs are not allowed in the pub but they had a summer house out back which we could sit in. Concerned it might be too cold she reassured me it has heaters and was welcome to take a look. We ended up staying and enjoyed a lovely meal of fish pie with lots of veg and chips, I had chicken and bacon Caesar salad which was beautiful and was too full for desert. We enjoyed it that much we returned for another drink the next evening with our friends - excellent service and food

Dropped in without booking at lunch time. Ate in the bar area and really relaxed and great service. The food here is amazing. Good value and the free refill of veg and chips is always a massive bonus. The only criticism is it's not closer to my house so I can walk there. 100% recommend.

Popped into the beer garden after work for a few drinks in the April sunshine. Ordered (what we thought were) a few chips and onion rings but the portions were very generous. Decent selection of beers on tap, good food and great service.

We had our wedding at The White Hart and we had the most incredible day. The staff are so attentive and kind, the food was incredible and we could not have asked for more. Katy the coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly, and the day was perfect from start to finish. Thank you so much to the White Hart team, you all work so incredibly hard and we appreciated every person involved in our day. Cannot recommend this wedding venue enough!

Stayed the night for a friends wedding absolutely beautiful venue and setting around beautiful views the breakfast was absolutely a banger ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💯 locally produced sources and the main reception of the hotel bit very welcoming receptionist team would definitely come here again this time try there bar restaurant as heard amazing reviews from people I know.

Absolutely perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing and very fresh. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We will be staying again.

Situated off the beaten track near Alfreton is the a wonderful Inn - the White Hart. This is the second time we have stayed but the first for dinner. Breakfast is always included which just makes things simple. Ample parking and outside seating completes the perfect setting. From the pub and restaurant to the bedrooms, the inn has a simple style with ‘real’ wood furniture that is so hefty but adds a true feel of the country and luxury. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is always a lovely view. The pub and restaurant are also well presented and welcoming. Our servers at dinner Nathan and Summer were a credit. Food was excellent, well priced and generous. Good home cooked and homemade food. Breakfasts are also generous and again made with quality ingredient’s. My only comment is that it would be nice to have a cappuccino as an alternative to the filter coffee. All in all another lovely stay hopefully to be repeated in the not too distant future.

Really nice restaurant, staff were very kind and quick to take orders. Food was really good, reccomend getting 3 dishes each and sharing. All had good taste and portion sizes together weren’t too bad! Would recommend the meatballs! Would definitely come back 👍🏼

The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was ok. I had 3 different dishes, and thwere all nice. Not unpleasant but didn't blow my socks off. The lemon pudding was incredible! The restaurant was quite loud. So not great for a quite meal. Very reasonably priced

Lovely!! Went with the Mrs to celebrate our anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better night. David our server was polite and nice to chat too. The food was delicious and not over priced. Will definitely be going here again and highly recommend it to anyone who likes food.

Food was delicious and good value for money. Only nag was rhe allergen menu was a bit of a pain Would be loads easier with a digital tablet, like other places use. Other then thay all.was great, amd will be back!

Perfect English Breakfast! This cafe serves the best English breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and the sausages were packed with flavor. The baked beans were rich and satisfying, and the buttery toast tied everything together. Also the omelette was very nice, it was with mushrooms, tomatoes and onion, you can choose the side either toast or salad. Every bite was delicious—highly recommended!

Bustling lovely cafe at the quieter end of Alfretons main street. Friendly staff and gorgeous food, even some vegan and gluten free choices on offer. All-day breakfasts looked divine.There's even a lovely outdoor area at the rear. Also licensed if you fancy a beer or prosecco with your cake. Definitely returning. M
