Thomas was at the end of the first term in year 11, studying for his GCSE’s before we commenced his additional support in maths using Mrs O’Brien. At that stage Thomas was struggling to make sense of some of his maths topics and we were hoping the extra support would secure a grade 4 (and were hopeful on a good day a grade 5 would be achievable.) Thomas immediately clicked with Mrs O’Brien and found some of her alternative methods in areas of maths much simpler than he had been previously taught. After weekly lessons that we increased to two towards his exams Thomas was much more confident in maths by the time he sat his GCSE’s. Mrs O’Brien was fully converse with the curriculum and proficient in Sparx which was the schools maths learning platform. Thomas has recently received his result and obtain a grade 7! We are obviously delighted and can’t thank Mrs O’Brien enough for everything she has done. (PS: in the final weeks before the exams were also used Mrs O’Brien for some additional support in various chemistry topics which again Thomas achieved a grade 7). I have found Anne-lise to be an excellent teacher, being French herself, she encourages correct pronunciation and correct grammar. I find it difficult learning a new language but she has found different ways to help me retain the phrases. Anne-lise is very patient and professional. Her premises and very conducive to encouraging learning. I would highly recommend Anne-lise whatever you need the language for example - conversation, exams or just phrases for holiday. Thanks for your help and expertise.

Amazing local tutors. They are all super friendly and explain everything in a really clear way, for both the students and parents! The sessions are personalised and totally tailored to how the kids learn, making everything much easier. They teach most kids here and have links with all the schools. Definitely recommend giving them a go if you want a fun, effective way to learn.

My son has been attending sessions with Jamie for over a year and has made significant progress in Maths. During this time, he has moved up sets and is now on track to excel in his GCSEs. The lessons are targeted to help my daughter focus and built her confidence. She really enjoys the style of teaching and looks forward to her lessons. The tutors are great at building a rapport, which helps with motivation and making the most of the lessons. They always provide a update, giving parents a good insight on progress.

I can't recommend Top Marks Tuition enough. I've never struggled to get my 15 year old daughter to go as she enjoys the sessions. Learning on a more one to one basis has been beneficial for her as she struggles to focus at school. Matt and Nicki have been very supportive and offered advice when needed.

Best decision I made for my son (yr 5). He was falling short on targets and with only one more year to go before secondary school something needed to be done. He joined tuition for both Maths and English 6 months ago. Within a month of extra support I noticed he was feeling more confident and sharing how he was able to get work done quicker in class and moving onto extra work. Mr waqas helped my son with his sats 3 years ago when he was told he would get working towards if that, with only a couple of months support waqas dedication helped my son exceed i got a call from school with the results as the teachers were shocked i am so pleased with the service and dedication they provide. I had tried another website to find a tutor and it had hidden in its T&Cs that by signing up to them I would pay £40 a month to them plus the tutor fees! First Tutors charges a one-off finders fee of @£20. And they had my perfect tutor living nearby to me. Would throughly recommend them!
