I went to The Butty Box looking for a late breakfast, and even though I arrived super late with only 5 minutes to spare, the owner was incredibly welcoming and happy to serve me. The food was great quality, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty, affordable meal! 💕

Sampled the new sausage and mash special for lunch, thoroughly enjoyed every bite and filled up to the brim. Quality produce as always. I will be having it again for sure. 😋

This is hands down THE place to go in and around Swadlincote for a really special meal. The service is faultless; personalised, warm, welcoming and of the highest standard. The menu is a little slice of Italy and the steaks are perfectly cooked as you request, they are beyond any I’ve had elsewhere (no steak knife needed it’s that succulent). The owners couldn’t do more for you whilst you are visiting, hats off to the chef, this is Swadlincote's little secret. Can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful restaurant. The incredibly high standards we’ve experienced are over multiple visits over many years … and it only gets better each time. Thank you for lots of nice memories and full tummies, we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Starter was Garlic mushrooms and it was just that. Bunch of boiled mushrooms chopped up in a bowl. Lots of water at the bottom. Tasted nice although there was a lot for a starter. Bruschetta looked nice and was told it tasted delicious. They hadn't got one of the few veggie options I wanted for the main but i went for the four cheese pasta. Again, very basic presentation. Just pasta in a bowl, but it was very tasty. We were told we couldn't have tap water as there was bits in it so we were sold a bottle of water but weren't told we were going to be charged five pound fifty for it! This was too over priced considering it wasn't our fault that the tap water wasn't available. The Server was very nice but at first we weren't sure if he was staff as he just had a scruffy hoodie and jeans on. It is a lovely little place that is one of Swadlincotes hidden treasures. Would recommend you give it a try. Friends had dessert which looked delicious. Lots to choose from and generous portions.

Ok, hear me out. Chicken is chicken, right? Wrong! Some chicken is meh, and some chicken is outstanding. The Pickett House serves an exceptional kind. Family-style platter service is a unique concept, and we loved it. A coworker recommended Pickett House at a wood products mill 1/2 hour away. I figured it must be good if folks travel to eat here. They were right. If you’re close to Woodville, Texas, stop in. You’ll enjoy it as well—simple, country dining where the food is the star.

My friend and I drive forever away to have fried chicken. It's all you can eat family style place. We ate the first round of perfectly salty chicken, turnips, potatoes, black eye peas, dumplings, with biscuits and cornbread. That would have satisfied normal men but we are not sort of those people. We finished round two, and then a third round..... before having a cute cup of peach cobbler. Think we ended up eating 2 whole chickens and a dozen or more biscuits with strap syrup.

Boarding house style dining while eating some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat. Two sides and roll or biscuit round out the meal. Drink is extra but worth it. A must visit. Note: very busy on Sunday after church but no problem for them to handle. Service is excellent!

Four of us went for a last min catch up this evening and wow! Amazing service and super friendly, the food was outstanding plus I got my starter first lol. Definitely one of the best steaks I've had in a long time.

Food was really tasty, couldn't fault it! Good sized portions and value for money. Very friendly staff, and the landlady was very friendly too! Lovely pub. Could do with some better outdoor furniture. Nicely furnished inside. Friendly and helpful staff. Food reasonable but wine overpriced for what it was. Staying over night the room was generous in size with a large TV. Plenty of tea and coffee and chilled water in bottles. The bathroom was well fitted out but take all your own toiletries as none were provided. Breakfast is generous and well cooked but would have been improved by a locally sourced farm sausage. We enjoyed our stay.

I visited The Wheel Inn recently, a wake was held there after a family funeral. I have to say how nice of a place it was, the staff were brilliant and the quality of the food was awesome. For such a small cost per head the quality, variety and amount of food provided was amazing. I highly recommend this public house for its nice friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, a decent pint and lovely food.

The bar staff were amazing. I went to the pub to meet my friend for the birthday but the staff were amazing 🤩 they had a live music and they sang amazing and yh it's friendly pub to go with people in wheelchairs and disabled people too who either have a disability or can't go up stairs.

Good ale, friendly staff and locals. Cosy traditional pub with a pool table, darts board and music.

Popped in with a mate after wanting to pop in for a while. The outsides been done to a good standard. Bar staff-especially the barman were friendly. Beer was a good choice and we'll kept. Good for sports with a big telly. Will definitely return-hopefully they play the six Nations!!!

We had our wedding here yesterday and it was just incredible!!! From our first visit everyone has done everything they could for us. Just amazing. Would recommend to everyone. Emma and Becky are just the nicest people you will ever meet. Went above and beyond with food, service and entertainment. Really looked after us, did everything they could to make our day so incredible. Thank you!

Fantastic evening of entertainment last night with the Freddie Mercury tribute and a lovely carvery. Excellent price and staff very friendly. Will definitely book again.

Had our works Christmas Party last night. Christmas carvery- all tasty home cooked food and the home made white forest roulard for dessert was delicious. Entertainment was excellent. Andy was fabulous as Freddie Mercury. Highly recommended!

Had a very nice meal with family, three courses including the Sunday carvery. Lovely food, and a nice atmosphere inside, despite being an open room it wasn’t too loud or busy. Would recommend for a meal, though I haven’t been to any of the events they look interesting!

amazing service was greeted with a smile the hot chocolate was gorgeous and i liked my chicken and mushroom garlic sauce when i asked for gravy they got me some oh tho they didn’t get me enough but that was all sorted when i asked for more (highly recommend booking in advance)

We had a Valentine's Day meal. Food was absolutely first class. ANY top class kitchen would be proud to produce such a delightful menu( ...we had the Hake). Staff were friendly and relaxed. Easy atmostphere. Great evening out.....

We've been going to Spice Touch as a family for years and I won't ever go anywhere else! Always a warm welcome, and fabulous food! The staff are so attentive and always know which wine to bring to the table when we walk in. I've never had a bad meal in the 10+ years we've been coming. Couldn't recommend Spice Touch enough!

This is a new restaurant only open 5 months and now well worth a visit. Excellent food and service, decor is elegant and comfortable. KOYRUL floor manager is so helpful and caring. A definite must for anyone who likes good a curry.
