Clean and comfortable, had the best night's sleep. All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Couldn't have done more for us. The breakfast was really excellent, and we're already looking forward to staying again. They are having a refurb soon so it could, possibly,be even better!! Now one of our favourite places to visit.
Firstly I would disregard all the reviews. We went in late on a Sunday evening to a pristine pub, attentive staff and delicious roast beef Sunday dinner. The food was faultless and at a super reasonable price too. I will certainly be coming again
We stayed in a cottage nearby. We were looking for a local pub nearby that was dog friendly and children friendly, which also served food. We were not disappointed. We have an autistic teenager and a child who is a picky eater. Both really enjoyed their meals, which is a rearity. The staff were friendly and helpful. The locals were friendly as well. This is the only pub we have been to locally that the kids have not wanted to leave after eating their meals and have asked if we will come back to . Definitely be coming back as we only live about an hours drive. We will definitely be back as the kids and the dog definitely enjoyed their stay and their meal there.
