āGreat food served by friendly and helpful staff. We prebooked a table for a Friday evening as it is known to be busy, we were welcomed with a smile, served our drinks and shown to our table. When we ordered the service was quick and efficient. The waitress then returned to confirm if we were satisfied and later returned to offer us the desserts menu. Only slight issue was that the bar was crowded by drinkers when it came to paying the bill. We will definitely be back again soon.ā

āGreat country pub. Went their first Sunday lunch. Food and service was excellent. Had the Pork roast which was delicious and the roasties were amazing. Treacle pudding was light fluffy and tasty. Decent pint of Guinness too which was creamy with strong coffee overtones and a hint of chocolate. Just a shame about noisy children but thatās not the pubās fault. Would definitely go againā

āExcellent hidden gem out a bit in the countryside just a few miles from the A6. You could pass it without knowing whatās inside this white flat sided building. Small entrance to the car park with JA logo on the side of the building. Plenty of parking but the restaurant can accommodate a lot of tables with two key areas with their own bars. Large menu selection with pizzas, burgers, fish and chips, and Asian options plus a lot more. First place I have seen a good selection of over 100 beers which includes at least 6+ zero alcohol beers for the drivers. Portions are good with excellent fast friendly service. Challenge for this location is the size of the toilets and cleanliness. First time I can remember giving 5 stars for everything. Definitely recommend and a must if in the area but suggest booking at busy times.ā

āWe called in mid afternoon and although it was fairly quiet we had a great experience. The bar is dog friendly which was perfect after our walk at Carsington reservoir. Food was very good and they had my favourite beverage on tap. Plenty of tables outside too with pods if itās a little cooler.ā

āāāāāā Stopped by the Rose & Crown on Main Rd in Brailsford, and it was just what I was hoping for! The place is incredibly cozy with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The decor is charming, and it really has that classic pub feel thatās getting hard to find these days. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. The food was delicious and hearty ā just the thing you'd want on a day out. All in all, it was a lovely experience, and Iāll definitely be back next time Iām in the area!ā

āA very good carvery at a very reasonable price. Ample vegetables to accompany. We have paid several visits over the years since it opened and never been disappointed. A good selection is also available on the main menu. A Weekday visit, we have found is more to our liking as not too busy. The tables are slightly more crowded in the main dining area makes it slightly less enjoyable when completely packed. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. There are QR Codes on the table where you can add an app to your phone and with your table number order your food. However, mobile signals are often weak at this location, making difficult. It wasnāt a problem as you can still order old school by going to the counter. Customer service has always been the best.ā
