Amazing afternoon for a party of 11. We had Sunday dinner. Mix of beef, port and vegetarian. Hot food, fresh veg, excellent service. Comfortable chairs lovely ambiance. We will be back thank you so much for making our family afternoon special.

Only booked to have afternoon tea. Heard very good things about the angel before hand. Appeared to be the only place around that served afternoon past 4pm. Booking was straight forward. Arrived on time snd seated straight away. It was absolutely freezing outside, but thanks to the nearby wood burner it was comfortably warm inside. A pot of tea arrived shortly after being seated and several minutes later our afternoon tea was presented. Just the right amount on the tiered serving plates all nice and fresh. They hadn't over tried on either selection or on presentation. The scones were the last to go. Even after about 20 minutes of being out on the table they were still warm. Everything was fresh and tasty. A fresh brewed pot of tea was also served to yus without even having to ask. Another visit is surely on the cards to sample the bar offerings and a Sunday dinner.

From entering the Angel & Harlequin, we were treated to exceptionally high standards. The first element we experienced was a genuine and friendly welcome by the staff along with a warm atmosphere. You then notice the high quality of your surroundings, where great attention to detail has been invested. That same investment was obviously apparent in the expertise of the serving staff who were exoertly attentive. The choice of food was fantastic and served swiftly. The food was absolutely delicious, where every element was of the highest quality and obviously freshly prepared. When we received the bill, we were highly surprised as we'd expect to pay more for a wholly unforgettable and amazing dining experience.

My friend recommended that we come here so we did, and I am glad that we did. The pub/bistro is very cute, I love the interior design. You can just turn up you don't have to book. The coffee was really good and the food was very tasty. The menu isn't massive but it is only a small bistro, and sadly there is only 1 vegan option, so maybe would recommend trying to have more vegan/vegetarian options. Overall lovely experience and would recommend

We contacted quite late to accommodate 30 people for my sons' 30th birthday & they were brilliant! The food was spot on, service was excellent & were very accommodating our requests regarding it being a birthday. We were basically in a separate room for ourselves. All the staff were great.
