Working in the area, me and my colleague wanted to pick something decent. Safe to say this didn't disappoint throughout. Stunning rooms, styling wise, very clean, everything was top marks. Had food in the restaurant and that was also really nice, not to mention a free pint for booking the room. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Will 100% be looking to return here in the future. I'm not often impressed when staying away, but you guys did not disappoint.
Visited Harpurs this morning for their Champagne Breakfast for a friend's 60th birthday! A lovely restaurant which has been newly refurbished to a very high standard. The Manager was very pleasant and helpful as were his staff. Breakfast couldn't be faulted. I chose the Granola, Poached Egg and Avocado on wholemeal toast (They very kindly did me this as didn't really fancy what was on the menu!) Croissant and chocolate brownie, coffee and 2 glasses of prosecco! The service was excellent and we didn't feel rushed at all. Very good value for money. Would definitely return and highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere. The menu had changed that day, and they had a few teathing problems. I had the pork belly, which was excellent, but I really needed a steak knife to cut through the crackling. Service was initially good, but we did get neglected before we ordered deserts. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back.
Lovely one night stay at Harpurs. Bed, breakfast and evening meal. Staff very friendly and helpful - bar staff, wait staff and cleaners. Also chef/kitchen were VERY accommodating with regard to my dietary requirements. The room was a deluxe double and didn't disappoint. We were shown to a small flat across the road from the hotel. Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Nicely decorated throughout. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay and would gladly recommend Harpurs
Just finished an incredible roast that ticked all the boxes! Trimmings included, gravy on tap and cracking Sunday kids deal! Roast was top tier and desserts were amazing. Cozy, dog friendly bar area with activities for the kids to do. Will be coming back!
