I recently worked with Dimitry and Solid Carpentry to have a built -in wardrobe fitted in my bedroom so I could have more storage space. Dimitry was excellent right from the start - polite, up front about costs, arriving on time, giving me advice and keeping me updated on the job. I gave him a photo to work from and he made the wardrobe look just like it! It was also a really awkward space, the room is slightly on a slope but he made it fit just right. I'd definitely recommend Solid Carpentry to anyone, and I will definitely be using Solid Carpentry again if I need any more carpentry in the future.

Solid Carpentry designed and installed a custom, built-in bookcase with a hidden door for me. Dmitriy was responsive, open & clear about what to expect (including considerations we had not thought of), took a lot of care and demonstrated real pride in his work - which made the whole process very enjoyable. The results are spectacular and we couldn't be happier.

We have a difficult to make use of small boiler room in our flat. In need of more storage space we got in touch with Solid Carpentry. They did such an excellent job from start to finish. We can now finally store all of our luggage and random things and the room actually feels bigger now. Well done on getting the shelves fitted in such small awkward spaces. We needed our drawers re-done in our wardrobes. It was a very bespoke project as we didn't need something built from scratch, but within an already built structure. It was wonderful working with Solid Carpentry, and the final product was beautiful! Dmitriy was attentive to all the special adjustments we wanted for our drawers and patient if we changed our minds on some details. Solid Carpentry used high-quality materials and did a great paint job. We love our drawers!!

Alan fitted a four door wardrobe and a three door corner wardrobe. He was tidy, careful and very organized. He went over and above to make sure they were exactly how I wanted them, and that they were going to be safe and fixed together properly. As you can see from the photos, the finished product is very impressive. I would definitely recommend him and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Booking was easy and straightforward and the quote was the cheapest around.

We have been renovating our first home for over a year now and needed help repairing the stairs, Vlad was suggested to me via a friend on Instagram where he had done an excellent job with custom carpentry! Vlad helped us to totally transform our staircase, not just aesthetically, but also structurally! Our stairs were in bad shape, with large 2" gaps between the tread and the riser on 50% of the steps, as well as holes and years of grime and layers upon layers of paint. He filled gaps in the stairs with reclaimed wood and sanded them down to show off the beautiful grain of the original staircase, and reinforced the underside due to wobbly and loose supports from years of wear. When we removed all the carpet from the stairs, we discovered that the very bottom step was being held up with tape and in serious need of repair. Vlad applied traditional techniques to curve the wood around the step and slot it perfectly in place - we would never have been able to do that ourselves! I really enjoy working with someone who comes with a vision and works with you to make something truly unique. He suggested adding beading as a design detail to frame each step like panelling, make them pop out and also to add depth to something which is often overlooked. I would never have considered doing that myself and I'm so glad we've done it! My stairs are now a statement! Vlad is punctual, quick to reply, friendly, and trustworthy. He truly has mastered his craft and an impressive array of tools! It was a pleasure to work and learn from him. Vlad is just brilliant, his craftsmanship is truly exceptional. Vlad created built-in floor to ceiling wardrobes in our very small bedroom. He is very detail focussed, and really helped us to understand how we could best utilise the space and the various possibilities of a bespoke wardrobe - including concealed storage, jewellery draw/trays, pull down rails etc. Aside from his craftsmanship, Vlad and his team were incredibly clean, always on time, super friendly and even went above and beyond by fixing little bits around our room (they kindly trimmed and rehung our bedroom door for us after our poor home DIY attempt) We are really thrilled and couldn’t recommenced him highly enough - I’d give 10 stars if it were an option.

His communication is excellent, is punctual and takes time to talk through your needs properly to make sure everything is done and placed correctly. He is super nice to have around in the house. Among the many contractors we’ve worked with during our shop fitting, Bobby truly stood out with his professionalism, passion, and personality. Despite our modest budget, Bobby never hesitated to answer our endless emails, make multiple site visits to ensure accuracy, and work with us every step of the way before any deposit was even paid. He even drove two hours to our fridge manufacturer to take precise measurements, invited us to his studio to view wood stains and beadings, and produced a final result that exceeded all expectations. On the day of installation, Bobby arrived fully prepared, working diligently through the day to craft the frame exactly as envisioned. He even cleaned up afterwards with a heavy commercial vacuum cleaner that he brought. For anyone looking for an honest, detail-oriented and skilled carpenter, please trust all these reviews you are reading. Bobby is a true craftsman, and his work is second to none. Eddie was such a pleasure to work with. Really responsive and professional. He gave a clear date of when the work would take place which meant we could plan around the work. In the design phase he listened to what we needed and weighed in with his thoughts on what would be the best solution. Based on his recommendation we went for a 4 door rather than 5 door cupboard and it has resulted in a really nice looking piece which also makes the best use of the space available. I have also never experienced so little dust and noise - mainly because Eddie does much of the prep in his workshop. I would highly recommend!
