Very good service that saved Christmas! Sorry for the late review! My car developed a noise that originated from around the timing belt on the 21st Dec. I drove to J&N autos and asked if someone could take a look. I’d accepted that they may not be able to look straight away or do anything until the new year but didn’t want to risk the journey home as if the timing belt broke I’d need a new engine as had happened to me many years ago. A mechanic looked at the car straight away and advised that it could be belt, water pump or aux belt, and was unable to tell without further investigation. From what little knowledge I have I knew this to be a completely honest assessment and asked if it could be looked into when they had time and left it with them. Within an hour the lady from reception had called to say that the fault was identified as the water pump and that they would order the parts and try to get the work completed that day. I received a call later in the afternoon to say that the car was ready for collection, the work had been done and at a very competitive price. This really did save our Christmas as we were thinking how to get around and rearrange without the use of our car. Thank you so much. On collecting, the mechanic showed me the worn pump part and explained what and why this had been replaced. The lady in reception and mechanic, were very knowledgeable and professional. I found them very capable and competent as a no point did they go through the usual sharp intake of breath followed by random comments aimed at dramatizing the situation that so often happens especially with a holiday period looming. No fuss, no drama just a very good service and a happy and grateful customer. Top job 👍👍
