I took my newly purchased used car here twice. This is my first car, so I was very worried due to my lack of experience. The first time, they checked my car and fixed some minor issues. They also told me, 'It's a good car.' I was so relieved, and so far, I am super happy about it. The second time, they changed my tire and refilled the refrigerant. My air conditioner went from blowing hot air only to chilling my car like the North Pole. The staff also taught me how to do some basic checks and maintenance on my car. The staff is skillful and kind, and the prices are very reasonable. I have no reason not to recommend this garage. See you for my next MOT check.

In my humble opinion, this is the number 1 MOT centre in westhoughton. Pete and Jeff is exceptionally helpful and kind. Car brakes, services and MOT are done perfectly. My new Yaris and my old Hyundai i10 were both in good hands. Lots of peace of mind. Full of patience to explain to newbies like me even when they are super busy. Excellent team

I’ve been using this garage now for over 4 years. Having multiple cars, this garage has been a godsend when it comes to MOT time. I’ve never found them anything but honest and down to earth. Something which is hard to find from a garage in the local area. If there’s anything my cars need or if it comes down to testing I won’t even bother looking elsewhere, sometimes I’ve found they have busy periods but clearly this is down to the quality level of work and service and is to be expected and in these cases well worth the wait.

The staff are friendly and very professional. Arrived today with an engine fault after replacement timing belt by main dealer. The fault was diagnosed and resolved without charge. Which is customer service of the highest standard. You can be sure I'll be back for MoTs and service again.

Limped in unannounced after a pothole caused a puncture. Instantly able to help me out, didn't have a new tyre in stock so very quickly nipped out to buy me one and brought it back, great service!

Called and got an appointment on the same day and they was clearly busy but couldn't do enough, won't be beaten on pricess, was recommended by a friend and I won't be going anywhere else in future! Had issue with what it seemed engine and was told by another garage that it would most likely need to be changed for a new one. Smythy Garage was recommended to me by 2 other garages to go to and I couldn’t have made better decision! I’ve had new timing belt and oil filter fitted in with couple of other bits and was positively shocked when I heard the price! I’ve never had any review posted before but I think more people need to know how good and honest these guys are. Booked again for MOT and service and will definitely be coming back again.

Have always been reassured that they will do the work at the best price for me and advise me on how much things are likely to cost just so I know before they carry out the work. 10/10 would reccomend!

Most of us are only concerned with getting our car fixed when something isn't right, fixed properly first time and fixed at the right price. Well this is where you come to achieve that. I tried what I thought were cheaper alternatives (not that its expensive here by any means) and bitterly regretted it as Chris said what I already knew 'you should have come here first' and saved myself some time and money in the long run, and now I do. Every time. I have never come away and thought I had received anything other than good service and sound advice. Its a top business and highly recommended for good reason.

I had a really positive experience at this garage! I didn't catch the man's name who was working there, but he was so helpful with my car and gave me lots of advice on what needed fixing. He even checked over the car for me for free! I would highly recommend this garage and I will be using their services in future.

Very impressed with how quickly this garage turned around a service today , I originally wasn’t happy and complained due to arriving at the garage at 2pm and finding out my car had not been started on yet. However auto care got in touch with me when i drove home, apologised and the man drove all the way to my house to pick my car up, service it and drop it back off all for half price . i have never known a company to go to this much trouble for a customer. To go above on beyond like this I am very grateful for and it is very much appreciated the effort they made today just to get it done for me . Serviced my Peugeot HDi recently, fitted new front coil springs after the Crown Lane Motocross track wrecked originals. Car now handles and steers loads better, runs perfect. According to car computer I got 56.2mpg average on an M61/60/62 run last week. Fair prices, friendly people. Recommended.
