I have had my cars serviced and repaired here for the last few years, as has my daughter. It's a proper working garage, so nothing fancy. The staff know what they are doing so you feel confident the work done is what's needed. They are always busy, a good sign, but can be a problem if the car is unusable until repaired, however that is the same everywhere

My car failed it's MOT at a different garage for the wing mirror not locking into place, so I brought it to Hadfield Motors to work out what was going on and they quickly figured it out (a very simple fix!) I'm always a little nervous bringing my car to a garage (I don't have very much knowledge of cars), but the guys were so lovely and were very kind to fit me in the same day and offer some advice! I'll definitely be using them in future!

I am so happy to find Hadfield Motors, more than 2 years I have had an engine starting issue. When the weather was cold my engine wouldn’t start, I would need a jump start from my daughter and my neighbour, I actually asked this when I first bought my van from Glossop Caravans they told me I need to warm the engine every week once I won’t have the problem, and after that Glossop Service Center told me the same they ignored my engine needed a new starter engine and cables change, they somehow didn’t want to do the jobs possibly but why wouldn’t they tell me that it’s is normal this type of van does this starting issue when it is not used frequently, basically I have been ignored but I didn’t know I was ignored but they didn’t want to deal with my issue, really strange as I always am good with prompt payment and I don’t even do bargains or anything, so I had to deal many problems when my van didn’t start and I was believing them it is normal I had to deal with it, I eventually fed up and looked mechanics and called Hadfiled motors, they came picked my Van and dropped it back to me, my van works like a big monster now because of Hadfield motors I now believe that we have a great mechanics who actually cares for you, lovely family business and when I couldn’t unlock my steering wheel they came again to rescue me too, amazing service, my daughter will take her car there too, I strongly recommend don’t look more, thank you millions Michel and Tonny🥰

Absolutely know their stuff. I’ve come to them with a couple of issues now and it’s been fixed to a high standard. Happy with the cost and would highly recommend them. The staff are knowledgeable.

After being told that we were in an “unreachable” location for commercial rescue and we would have no way of being towed up Hylar Hill, we called Cross Garage after being stood in the cold and dark for over 3 hours. They came out immediately and used all the skills needed to help. Really helpful and reassuring in the whole process! Thank you

Great service, we had a puncture and the compressor and glue had no effect, phoned up and they came to me in a few minutes, took the wheel off. Then took it away and came back quickly with a new tyre fitted.

Thanks guys , you really pulled out all the stops this time new vehicle bought from a big national failed after a very short time ! The national were useless - 1 phone call 3 emails no response !! Called the guys at Hartdale Motors , Hartington can you help , turned up within the hour diagnostics done EGR diagnosed , following day repairs done , back on the road ,back in business my customers happy , I'm well satisfied (BTW) those lads worked into late evening to get my van to me WELL DONE lads brilliant service yet again

Hartdale helped me out of real pickle when I had a puncture and couldn't get the locking wheelnut off. Incredible service and very reasonable charges

Fantastic garage. Richard, the owner, was so helpful and got our Audi Q3 seized brake caliper replacement ordered and fitted within 24 hours whilst we were in the last 2 days of our holiday. We moved house two weeks ago and while waiting around in town for the keys I managed to drain my car battery. Imagine how stressed, having just picked up keys to a new house finding myself stuck in Chesterfield with a car that wouldn't start. I called around a number of garages to ask for help and Auto Inspire were the only people who listened and came to my rescue. Having explained my situation to them, Dave called me back to see how he could help. I was so happy when he said he would set off immediately to see if he could get my battery charged up. After a few minutes, Dave was in the town centre and without any delay popped the bonnet and got my car started. It was a simple fix and didn't take long. However when asked how much I needed to pay, Dave said no charge! I had fully expected some kind of call out fee as I'd not been a customer before and was quite desperate for help. I think he appreciated I'd had a stressful day! I was so grateful for the help and being able to get over to the new house. I will be sure to book my car in for service and repairs in future.
