Excellent service, John has done a few gardening jobs for us, most recently removing an unstable tree in the garden and pruning some others. He always does an excellent job, turns up on time, leaves no mess and is polite and professional, and very reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I am compelled to share my excellent experience with Robert the Handyman. He was recently able to fit numerous fittings for our baby's bedroom and put together a toy at short notice, working well after hours with precision, care, and timeliness. We had been struggling to find a handyman who was available to fit the fittings for our baby's bedroom, as it was a relatively small job and most handymen were booked up weeks in advance. We were also keen to have the fittings fitted as soon as possible, as we were expecting our baby to arrive any day. Robert was able to come to our house the very next day, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, and fitted all of the fittings perfectly. He also put together a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Robert was very professional and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help us. He is a highly skilled handyman, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Here are some specific things that I appreciated about Robert's service: He was available at short notice, even though it was after hours. He worked quickly and efficiently, but also took the time to do a good job. He was very professional and friendly. He went above and beyond to help us, by assembling a toy for our baby that we had been struggling to assemble. Bobby-man-can maintenance has done a lot of work for us. We are DIY disasters and find that whenever we ask for a quote, there is never a job too big or too small. Everything has been carried out to a high standard. One of the largest jobs to be carried out was the insulation and boarding out of our entire loft. Bobby-man-can maintenance is trusted and reliable. We have always found his quotes very competitive. Would not hesitate to recommend and would use time and again.

An absolutely incredible golf course! Visited for the first time today to watch the LIV Golf event and it was an unbelievable place. The course and the facilities are first class and I was blown away by how well the course is kept and maintained. The atmosphere was also incredible and definitely enhanced the game of golf. Would love the privilege to play a round at JCB Golf & Country Club one day......so if any JCB employees read this review please get in touch! ⛳🏌️

Fantastic couple of days at the Legends Tour, amazing course and set up. Even better this year 2023 (Apart from the final days wash out weather ☔) - They had mini bus shuttle running also from the car park to course entrance which was brilliant. A1 experience.

Fantastic course !! Love playing here whatever the weather. Have had the pleasure of playing here 3 times now and it just gets better every time. A real test for all handicaps. The 17th is frightening but brilliant. Would recommend this course to anyone. Facilities are also fantastic with great staff.

We play a lot of open competitions a year and two of the Lad's had never played Chevin before so I booked us into an open. The day from start to finish was second to none.We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff from the club house to the well stocked Pro shop then a starter that was a credit to the club. We had a top notch breakfast then a round on one of the very best courses we have played this year. Fairways were just like walking on carpet complemented by true greens that posed some issues to work out the line in short a top course. I would very strongly recommend this class golf club.

Excellent course. Not the longest in the world, but technical with sloped fairways. The technically gifted will have a significant reward. Nice clubhouse with friendly staff.

Fairways at Chevin Golf Club had the most delicious steak pie I have ever had. It had chunky beef pieces covered in thick, rich gravy. This is definitely a place for pie!

Absolute class. My friend and I played on a glorious Sunday afternoon in October, and it was perfect. I knew about the reputation of this course as ‘the inspiration for Augusta’ and it does deliver. Dr Alastair McKenzie knew what he was doing. Amazing views from all corners of the course and despite the overall elevation, because the holes are carefully crafted into the tables of the terrain, it is a surprisingly good walk. The staff (shoutout to assistant pro, Liam) are super helpful and make you feel very welcome. Great hospitality in the clubhouse and you can enjoy watching players come in with a cold pint on the terrace. Cannot recommend highly enough and can’t wait to return next year. Proper golf course!

Playing of mats has helped preserve good fairways. Although because it’s not flat course this can also be tricky with borrowed mats. Greens were decent but not overly quick and a bit long - it is December after all so can be forgiven. Good layout and picturesque par 3s. Would love to play in its peak during the summer

Not the longest course but definitely has some challenging holes and tricky greens to navigate. The course is set in beautiful countryside with panoramic views and has been maintained to a very high standard. The greens are superb and some of the best I've ever played on.

Played here for my birthday in October 2024 and had a great time. The course is great and very scenic. In addition, my dad was playing golf for the first time since an operation and the staff in pro shop and bar were very helpful. He's now keen to get out and play again thanks to a good to a good experience here.

Excellent Experience at Matlock Golf Course I recently had the pleasure of playing at Matlock Golf Course, and it was a fantastic experience. The course is in great condition, deceptively looking easy but offering plenty of challenges for all skill levels. Every hole had its unique set of obstacles, keeping the round exciting and engaging. The facilities were top-notch, and the food was excellent, making it a well-rounded day out. A special mention to the professional, Christian Goodman, who was incredibly helpful and offered some valuable tips that improved our round. I highly recommend this course to any golfer!

Played this course today, scenery beautiful. Lovely picturesque back drop but the course is not for beginners. The par 3’s are long, the par 4’s are long and the fair ways are packed with their own challenges. On top of this the greens are elevated with run offs too. Not a single flat hole, either steep uphill or steep downhill. Its a great challenge if you fancy yourself as a player, just not begginer friendly. The staff were nice and friendly, the place itself will no doubt be a good course to return to when i improve. But i play off 25 and today was tough. Thanks for having us Matlock Golf Club

1906Club As members of the 1906 group we had courtesy of the course and courtesy is the word to describe all the staff and members with whom we came into contact A warm welcome from the Pro and Assistant.. We’d booked a buggy and it was ready and waiting. A tricky course which really tested a lower handicap but with Tee positions to accommodate a higher handicap Lady A warm welcome and excellent food at a reasonable price at the bar even at non member prices. All members we came into contact with were warm, friendly and helpful. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in the Derbyshire Dales
