Had several companies come out and then fail to get back to us with a price. Called on New View and James came out day after call gave us a quote the same evening and a date within a week or so to do the work. Quote accepted and awaited the day. The team came out yesterday bang on time worked flat out (yes folk still do know how to work hard) and completed. James asked for a walk round to ensure we were happy with the work which was exactly what we'd asked for. Our work involved trimming an ornamental beech hedge and substantial cutting back of several hornbeam hedges to open up the views. Brilliant job and though I doubted they could they did indeed complete in one day.

James and his team took down a very large 50ft+ ash tree with ash dieback in Old Glossop. James was friendly, professional, approachable and competent throughout the process, from application for a license (conservation area) through to liaising with neighbours and taking down a tree with difficult access. His quote was very competitive and he even left us some firewood from the tree. An excellent service, much better value than other quotes we got, and thoroughly professional throughout. Would not hesitate to recommend.

James came to have to look at the gardens and discuss exactly what needed to be done. An hour after he started, the front garden was unrecognisable and he had cleared the large driveway of weeds. He transformed our neglected garden in the space of a few hours and we would recommend him without hesitation. Especially if your garden needs a miracle performed on it!! (Before and after photos included)

I wanted 4 trees removed from my garden to open up my garden and make space to get fencing in . James and his team was very knowledgeable, helpful,and very professional all got done in 1 day very impressed and really improved the space . And so much more light.

Ok hands up time..... I was wrong, judging a book by it's cover, so this I apologise for before I start 🫢. Driving past the new restaurant in Glossop "steakland", every day and every day thought "what a stupid name, bet it will be rubbish. Fast forward a few weeks and the buzz for this place was starting to bleed through social media, ok I thought let the carnivore see the cadaver...... The place was packed, it's only small but well laid out and has a cosy yet vibrant feel. The smell of roasting meat and laughter filling the place. Menu is small, but they do specials (so nearly had the tomahawk, but wanted to keep it simple on my first visit), but I always find this is better, concentrating on perfection. The service was impeccable all night, waiters smiling and attentive, raw "cuts" brought to customers explaining the source of the produce,to the best way to have it cooked. This is such a nice touch, each cut has a "preference" to rareness to compliment it's structure, not every cut of meat is best at medium rare. Food? My pork ribs fell off the bone, the deep rich sauce had a welcome undercurrent of sharpness to cut through the rich. Sue's simple halloumi salad was fresh and tasty. The steaks, well they were just perfection! So much flavour, cooked to order and the seared surface giving another level over the super moist centre. Simple sides of blue cheese and porcini sauce, fries and wilted garlic and chilli spinach lifted the main attraction. So I was wrong, but also glad I proved myself so, because I'll be back 😎

My family and I had a wonderful experience here over the weekend. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is stellar. I find that usually, restaurant steaks aren't much to speak of and 9 times out of 10, you can cook a better one yourself. However, the food here is that rare exception and the steak blew me away. The staff state that the meat is from a local butcher, which is a nice touch as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Matt and Hayley provide a first class service. TGS have been cutting our lawn throughout the summer and the garden now looks immaculate. Matt has also done some extra work with our plants and flowerbeds, which had been neglected for some time. He has injected some life and character back into the garden so we can enjoy it with our friends and family. Would 100% recommend TGS.

Matt spent a day clearing up my garden after the winter. The end result is fantastic - it’s neat and tidy and ready for spring! He worked really hard all day, despite the rain and took everything away with him. I would absolutely recommend Matt and look forward to him helping to keep the garden looking great over the summer. I am so glad I found Matt and he was able to spend half a day taming a wild, neglected garden. He did a great job with the hedge and lawns and worked conscienciously for the entirety of the morning. He is coming back to tackle the rest of the garden in a few weeks. I can highly recommend him.

Tom came to landscape part of our relatively large garden in July/August when it seemed that the rain would never end which made working conditions very tricky. They took my design and vision and brought it to life - it’s a dream come true. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a landscaper to use these guys. 1. they are very professional, from the quote/paperwork, to site set up and tidying, they are expert at what they do and added value and suggestions throughout 2. Their attention to detail shows their RHS show experience and there was no corner cut even when time became tight at the end of the project 3. They’re a friendly team who were a pleasure to have on site.

Extremely happy with Tom and his team they worked professionally throughout with attention to detail so much so to perfection. They were always punctual and nothing was too much trouble if required any alterations to plans. Carried out changes to the existing terrain and the reconstruction of stone structure to all part of landscaping, new drive, new hedging and patio area. Would highly recommend and would definitely use them again!

We recently had the pleasure of working with T Hoyle Landscapes for our front driveway & back garden project, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Tom came highly recommended to me by my manager, who had also used Tom for his own landscaping project a few years ago. From start to finish, Tom and his team exceeded our expectations in every way. Our project was unique in that it evolved significantly over two years due to a rear house extension. Tom visited our property multiple times during this period, each time providing valuable insights and adjusting the plans to align perfectly with our changing requirements. His patience and adaptability were most appreciated. If I had to describe Tom in one word it is a perfectionist - a highly skilled perfectionist at that, who treats every project as if he were working on his own home. His attention to detail and commitment to using only the best materials and techniques have been evident in his flawless execution of our project. Excellent pub with great character, got some of the ale the had on tap, which was off. Brought this to the attention of the landlord and it was no problem he was off to change the barrel and pull through two good pints, exactly what you want to happen in that situation. The chips we got were also excellent. An ideal pub to go to on the way from Manchester to the Peak District.

Entering this pub is such a time warp as it is the quintessential traditional pub - it's great. Hidden in the back streets of Tintwhistle, it is an unassuming building, slightly shabby, but certainly worth a visit. When walking into this pub it is clear you are visiting an something very different; the ambience was nice & relaxed, the staff were lovely & friendly, but it is the layout and interior furniture that takes you back in time. It is gorgeous to see such eccentricity in a time of bland corporate chains. This is clearly an independent pub that has apparently stood for 500 years or more (so we were told). The food was good - several vegan options were available, which is great. Can't wait to visit again.

So glad we found this awesome pub. We stopped for lunch after checking Google Maps to see what was in the area, and the Bull's head was a great find. The staff were brilliant, the food was delicious and the building itself was fantastic. It was easy to imagine sitting there next to the fire 100 years ago with not much changed (in a good way). There are interesting things to look at everywhere. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

We had an excellent family Sunday dinner thank you to Laura and team! The carrot, ginger and chilli soup was very tasty and quite possibly one of the best soups I’ve ever had - I had to stop myself from licking the bowl clean. True story. The roast dinners were all lovely and well proportioned (large but not too large) my beef was beautifully cooked with excellent accompaniments - great roasties and a generous serving of top quality horseradish 😋 Our girls were well looked after - generous servings of pizza twists, fries and fresh salad. The fries they didn’t manage to finish were polished off by the adults. Their highlight though was most definitely their knickerbocker glories which were gloriously over the top and kept them quiet for a good 30 minutes while we could finish our conversations :) Very relaxed afternoon, and as the name implies there is a beautiful view too.

Held a 70th birthday party at The View, Glossop. The 3 course meal we had for 90+ people was absolutely brilliant , it was delicious, the portion sizes were great and the food hot! Would definitely recommend this venue and we will be using it again 👏

Great venue - thank you to Laura, the kitchen and the great bar staff who were very friendly, polite and attentive and helped make the evening go smoothly! Food was fantastic and the room is a great space for a family celebration! My only reason for not giving 5 star is that the golfers can still use the room for the bar if they want to, even during a booked function. It wasn’t too bad and they did leave as our guests were arriving but it’s worth being aware of when you book the room.

Used the golf club yesterday for a buffet for 75 people. The food was lovely and friends commented how much they enjoyed it. Laura was great, even accommodating for an unexpected gluten free guest. Highly recommend.

Tucked away from the main street this little gem is definitely worth a visit. Tastefull decor, spacious and a relaxing cosy environment with friendly staff. The food is the star though, top quality ingredients cooked with technical prowess, ample portion size and reflective and reasonable price.

Very lucky to have this place in Glossop! Had a hot honey chicken burger here on Thursday for lunch, genuinely magnificent. On a previous visit the prawns on crumpets dish was so incredible we ordered it for starters and pudding. Love coming here.

Good venue, hard to find from the highstreet ( well hidden ), but once inside it's a nice space to spend a couple of hours. Food is a bit on the expensive side but the quality and the services is good. We've tried the main menu and the Sunday roast so far and both are good options. Friendly attentive staff, good beers on tap and some nice seasonal drinks too. Recommended.

I have been to the Two Hares previously for their Sunday Roast and it was delicious. This time I took my Nana and we tried their breakfast. Despite my high expectations It didn’t disappoint... I got the Brioche french toast and it was by far the best I have ever tasted. It was a generous portion, served nice and hot, ample maple syrup was provided and it had the texture of clouds. Super fluffy and super yummy. Nana had the smashed avo and toast with added bacon and equally enjoyed that. The Yorkshire tea also sealed the deal. I continue to recommend the Two Hares to anyone and everyone in Glossop :)
