The food is fabulous, highly recommend the Turkish eggs and also the pastries. I would suggest asking for some of the pastries to be heated like spinach & feta or the chocolate, hazelnut and pear (they won't offer but will do upon request). Coffee is great, and service is rapid meaning you can stop before your train. Booking looks advisable as always busy.

Breakfast was really nice! I had the french toast and it was delicious, the orange mascarpone made it very refreshing so it wasn't too sweet. The portion size was also huge. We also had the breakfast brioche, again very delicious but definitely recommend it with added bacon.

This is my first visit to this establishment, and I must say it has left a remarkable impression on me. Opting for breakfast here in the morning was undoubtedly the right choice. From the very first moment, the young and attentive staff ensured a warm and welcoming experience. The time spent here, combined with the unique atmosphere, is as exceptional as the food itself. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who has yet to try the local cuisine – it is truly worth the visit.

Arrived, Leeds is a mission and half to drive to over Xmas. Breakfast with extra egg, amazing did look at the pancakes, but I'm having something like that for the dessert or sweet. Upstairs was packed. Will book a reservation in future. Spiced chocolate cake? I think.p

Incredible place! I wish I had a better photo of how it arrived! Honestly one of the best English breakfasts I have ever had. It is difficult to elevate a fry, but they managed. Mushroom with lemon and thyme, homemade beans, perfect poached eggs, great coffee. Seriously impressive place. Everyone else was really happy with the food as well. Service was fast and kind.

House of Koko - Chapel Allerton

We visited on the day they were releasing their new menu and the food was absolutely unreal. So beautiful and so tasty. They have nailed it! I had the smashed peas. Everyone working was so lovely and one of the chefs even came out to deliver a sauce and explained what was in it and a bit about the food. Can tell they were excited about the new menu and for good reason. Can’t recommend it enough.

First time today with my daughter. I must say the food truly exceeded my expectation. It was very busy at the time and we were told to wait outside with the outdoor heating on. We were given a table inside fairly quickly. Not many cafes would do Turkish eggs and I’ve tried this at 3 different cafes and by far House of Koko is by far the best. The bread came with it was thick and fluffy. We’ll definitely be back again!

Popped in for coffee, while I waited for my wife to have her eye operation, but ended up having a very nice breakfast indeed - it's not very often I'm in this neck of the woods living out York way, but with the wife going in for eye surgery at a local hospital and a wait of a couple of hours, no point in travel back home to turn round an come straight back. Thats why the coffee hunt, so glad I did - good strong coffee with a very nice eggs royale, on an english muffin. Spot on and service was excellent

I had pre booked an afternoon tea for my sisters birthday, and when we arrived we were not disappointed. The external was welcoming and clean, and we were greeted within seconds of walking in the door. We were seated quickly by very friendly staff who had asked about our day, and made sure we had everything we needed. Once the beautifully presented afternoon tea arrived, we were totally suprised at what was actually on it. We were thinking the usual type sandwiches, but nope, it was beautiful Mediterranean foods, an array of colours and packed full of flavour. Throughout the time we were there, staff were happily chatting to customers coming through the door, but also cleaning and ensuring the shop looked spit-spot. Absolutely made our 1st trip to Leeds a delight, accompanied by much needed sunshine to brighten the day.

Me and my partner eat here often. They always have amazing cafe food and coffee and the staff have always been great and friendly. The veggie breakfast and jacket potatoes are always good. They always go above to cater for my gluten allergy and I love their banana bread. I recently had the tea for two experience with me and my mum, and it was fantastic - they did gluten free options for me and were really good and probably the best tea for two I’ve had! Would definately recommend.

Lovely atmosphere and great place to go for brunch and catch up with friends. Hot drinks were really good, the food was very tasty and it’s a very instagramable place and plates! The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the waffles! It felt they were warmed up and not fresh. But I will definitely go back 😃

I went with a friend, we had an amazing brunch! Savena was super friendly and welcomed us very well! Sara took our order and made sure everything came to us correctly. I enjoyed Irish coffee. To eat, I ordered a Croque Madame, but without the prosciutto. Chef Matt was very thoughtful in preparing the order without the prosciutto and it was delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and sooo beautiful, perfect for a coffee with a friend or to take the family. We had a lovely time there, I’m exited to come back soon!

Lived in Adel 30 years & we needed this. Credit to the team for taking the risk and doing it. Now down to us/Adel to support protect and enjoy it. Since set up, they’ve had a) Lawnswood MK2 & b) the other bar to contend with. I don’t see either as competition since I’d not go there. Allowing dogs is a good gives an excuse most nights - Jeske loves it. Thursday night Lasagna was lovely. Cosy place good food, nice beer. Excellent staff 10/10

Ristorante Sorriso

429 Otley Rd, Adel, Leeds LS16 6AJ, UK | Italian Restaurant
P: 0113 267 2671

Rating: 4.7 (247) Price Level:

Great little Italian restaurant. Good basic menu with pizzas, pasta and some more traditional Italian mains. But tbh we all ordered from the specials board, so if they haven't got something on the main menu don't be put off. It was fish heavy. Which I love and I went with the lobster ravioli but it was nearly the halibut with butter sauce. The desserts were lovely too. I heard the bread and butter pudding ( not so Italian) was amazing but my tiramisu hit the spot. Bran dy after and a tad over £100 for 2 starters, 3 mains 3 desserts and glass of wine and 4 soft drinks. Will definitely visit again. Lovely staff, really lovely feeling to the place.

A hidden treasure in Adel. Freshly made italian food without the fuss. Starters we had were Focaccia and mixed Bruschetta. Both were very tasty. Mains of gnocchi and risotto were not so good but the cannoli & orange cake made up for this. Relaxed atmosphere. Give it a try.

This beautiful little place offers the finest Italian food I have ever eaten. I have been all over this country, the mediteranian and the world. No competition! Marco who is from the paradise Island of Sardinia, who we have known for many years is simply fantastico! His family, brought up in North Leeds complement the amazing family atmosphere. You cannot fault the friendliness, the food and the service! Magnifico to you Marco and your totally amazing family, Andreà and Sara for the constant warmth and hospitality you have shown us here in Adel . God bless you all!

Mrs Artha’s Café in Leeds is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the beautiful industrial décor catches your eye a perfect blend of modern chic and rustic charm. The exposed brickwork, hanging lights, and tasteful furnishings create a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The staff were nothing short of amazing incredibly welcoming, friendly, accommodating. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or settling in for a meal, they make you feel right at home. The service was prompt without feeling rushed, and every interaction felt genuinely thoughtful. The food and drinks were a delight too beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. If you’re in Leeds, Mrs Artha’s Café is an absolute must-visit. A stunning spot with top-notch service to match highly recommend!

Hickories was recommended to us by a friend Olivia to have a meal for our 41st wedding anniversary, she had been there on a few occasions and had been really impressed by everything, especially the food . We had never been before but we were amazed at how helpful, kind and welcoming the staff were with us The food was amazing and well presented if anything portions were really generous, so we didn't leave hungry Hickories was once the lawnswood arms and it has been refurbished to a very good standard. We were really impressed We would absolutely recommend a visit to this newly refurbished restaurant with fantastic staff, food and atmosphere

Went for a date night with my partner; staff were friendly, polite, and very accommodating to my allergies. Food was delicious, I had the smokehouse rump steak and my partner had the smokehouse platter for one, which they enjoyed; but be advised the coleslaw and pickled onions have jalapenos. We shared the Cajun onion rings which were delicious and crunchy, also served hanging so any excess oil drips off and prevented them from going soggy 👍 I had the chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was absolutely delicious but very sweet so would recommend maybe either sharing or having something like a small milkshake/glass of milk to help cut the sweetness (unless you have an extreme sweet tooth 😅). Only downside was where we were sat was dimmly lit, so it did make it a bit hard to read the menu(s) properly (I had to use the torch on my phone 😅) and it is slightly on the expensive side for what we got; but all in all, very nice place, happy with the food and service, and would go again

We went just before Christmas for a family meal. The service was swift, from good members of staff. Popcorn was brought out with our drinks whilst we made our meal selections . The food was really tasty and good portions not a five star as not quite hot enough. The restaurant is clean and the interior is designed well with plenty of seating options. The toilets are clean, and fully equipped for everyone's needs, disabled and baby changing facilities. Loads of parking and there is an outdoor play area. There is a small cinema area for children whilst they wait for their meals. We will definitely return.

Our second visit to Hickory’s in Adel and it didn’t disappoint. We’d booked for 19:30 on Friday evening to celebrate 2 birthdays. We were seated promptly in a spacious booth (5 of us) and although nobody came to take drinks orders for 20 mins, we could see they were extremely busy. Staff were lovely and friendly - cocktails and IPA beer selection excellent and all our drinks arrived within minutes of placing the order as well as their tasty popcorn. Ordered some burgers, a BBQ sharing platter (with extra onion rings) and my wife had the chicken cobb salad. Portions were generous and the brisket, pulled pork, sausage ribs, wings and sides were all outstanding. The triple Oklahoma burger was also exceptional. We didn’t have room for dessert this time although they looked great on the menu. There’s a great atmosphere in the place and a very welcoming vibe. It’s a huge building with many tables and yet the kitchen was able to get food out to a really good standard within 20 minutes of placing the order so all credit to the team. I was actually surprised at just how little the bill was as I was honestly expecting much more. For the 5 of us it came to around £170 which for the quality and quantity of the food, all served in a great environment by happy staff and easy parking outside was excellent value. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

I came for brunch with friends, despite there being a lot of us, we managed to all get seated although not at the same table as it was already fairly busy. I had the Reuben which was the perfect brunch meal and filled me up until dinnertime. All of our meals looked really good, however I think this one is a winner! Service was really good, although drinks were slow to get to us the server was really apologetic and explained to us why.

Stopped by @ifupnorth recently and was impressed by the menu. Tried the Bunch Club Royale—fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, and a rich hollandaise, alongside the smashed avocado which had a great creamy texture. The If Bennies Classic was one of the choices I like, with well-balanced poached eggs and flavorful hollandaise. For drinks, the flat white had a nice creamy feel, the caffè americano offered a deep, smooth kick, and the mocha was a great mix of espresso and chocolate. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot for a chill brunch or coffee. By fishenjoylife
