I stopped by The Mortimer Arms near Romsey recently and had a really pleasant experience. It’s a lovely, traditional pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. I had a couple of Diet Cokes and a portion of cheesy chips, and both were spot on! The chips were crispy, generously topped with melted cheese, and perfect for a light bite. The pub itself has a great ambiance. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or a full meal. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, well-run pub in the Romsey area.

We stayed overnight en route to Southampton. The place had changed hands the day before and everything was in a state of flux. However, our room was huge and spotless. The bed was comfy with decent quality bed linen and there were loads of big fluffy towels. The limited menu at dinner and breakfast was beautifully cooked and really tasty. The staff couldn’t have been better. Friendly, professional and welcoming. When the new owners settle in, this place will be fabulous!

Met up with some friends for a Sunday Roast today ( 9/2/25). Food and service was great. Massive portions and great vegetarian roast. Will definitely come back. Thanks

Had an amazing roast on 2/2/25. Staff were great and attentive. The waiter remembered I was vegan so when I ordered a dessert that was no longer vegan, he was able to let me know to order something else. Quality of food was great from starter to dessert. Would highly recommend
