Lovely find. An old railway station opened as a tea room, in truth they serve a wide range of food and drinks. I went for soup of the day, my wife for a sandwich with two drinks bill was about £20. There was a really tempting array of cakes and pastries. The walls are covered with bits of history from the buildings past and the Southern railway. There are even a few souvenirs on sale. Service was spot on and cheerful.

This appears to be very popular with walkers and cyclists. There is an indoor area with table service and a large outdoor area, with a counter to order from. The menu usn't huge but it had a nice variety of options. I was particularly keen to try the vegan cream tea which came with vegan whipped cream from a can rather than a clotted cream. All the food tasted good, and represented good value for money.

Had a lovely lunch stop on a walk from Burley along the old railway line to Holmsley Tea Rooms and back. Arrived at 11:30 when the menu changed over from breakfast to lunch, but this didn't delay anything. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had a Savoury Cream Tea and Whitebait. Delicious!!

A lovely little hot spot in the New Forest to stop off for refreshments. We had an Afternoon Cream Tea and it was all delicious; I've been to so many Cream Teas where you have no choices other than tea or coffee, so was pleasantly surprised to choose your own individual selection of sandwich fillings, scones with choice of jams and topping that off with a selection of traditional cakes. Lots of other lunch and light bite choices on the menu along with a specials board, too. There is plenty of seating inside and out with some ouside tables undercover for those mixed weather days. A tip if it's raining, take a brolly as the toilets are only accessible from the outside, though don't be put off by this as its literally only 30 paces.

A lively spot right in the middle of Lyndhurst high street; a very random find and I walked in simply because it was almost packed during lunch hours which is a good sign! And I wasn’t disappointed, great vibe inside mostly locals I guess, food options were simple but plenty and I tried my first Welsh/ Lyndhurst rarebit.. didn’t know what to expect so what I ate was good. Enjoyed a nice cuppa after alongside a lovely warm scone with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Service was all right. Overall a very good experience.

The service here was absolutely brilliant. People who run the place were incredibly warm and welcoming. Delicious sandwiches and cakes. Clean as a whistle. The biggest gluten free menu I've ever seen. Excellent. Definitely recommend.

If you're ever in Brockenhurst, this charming little cafe on High Road is definitely worth a visit. With a few tables and chairs outside, it's perfect for enjoying a coffee on a sunny day, though there's also cozy seating inside if you prefer. The coffee here is fantastic—super strong and full of flavor, just the way I like it. They also serve a delightful breakfast menu and a selection of fresh pastries that pair perfectly with your drink. A lovely spot for a quick break or a relaxed morning!

A nice but small cafe in Brockenhurst, serving all manner of delicious treats. Although I only stopped by for a coffee (which was great) all of their cakes and sandwiches looked fantastic. The cafe gets busy very quickly and only has a handful of tables, but there’s a reason why they are so busy. The staff are friendly and efficient and I will certainly be back to sample some of the lunch items on the menu.

Nice venue, friendly staff. Didn't get to try the food but what I saw go out looked great. Good value and situated close to the train station. Will definitely be revisiting.

Really good British pub! We attended on a Sunday afternoon for Sunday lunch. On arrival the staff were very attentive, making everything clear and easy. The lounge was full but they accommodated us in the bar or tent area. The food arrived in good time and was tasty + well presented. We had a dog and it was brilliant to see an abundance of well behaved dogs in the bar area. Overall a friendly environment to enjoy some food / sport & a beer or 2.

I wasn't convinced about this pub because of the UPVC door entrance and slightly outdated appearance but is was so wrong! The bar staff were so lovely and friendly and the food was awesome. Properly homemade, very generous portions and super tasty. Would TOTALLY recommend! And great value too.

If this place wasn't 3 hours away drive from home, I would be coming every week.. There is no any other way for me to describe the food from here but OUTRAGEOUSLY DEVINE!

Had a delicious meal here with my teen son. He really enjoyed the pizza, and the lasagne I had, was superb. Also enjoyed the desserts. Was the best Tiramisu I've ever had, and son had the brownie. Wasn't very busy but service was a bit slow. Took 40 minutes for the main course to arrive. Having said that, could not fault the food which was delicious, and was the best meal I had in the three days I'd spent in Brockenhurst.

Popped in for Sunday lunch, warm welcome as we arrived. Restaurant is being renovated and looks amazing. Can't wait to come back and see it when its all finished. Amazing roast pork followed by the best crumble I've tasted in years. Will be back to try more from your main menu.

We booked the Hunstman for a post wedding celebration. We had 150 friends and family join us for a party and Anna and Boyd and their team really looked after us and made the day incredibly special. Before the event their communication was great. They were really flexible when our numbers were changing and their suggestions on how to run the event best were really on-point and helped us make the most of the day. All the food served was great and the bar staff smashed the cocktails out to great effect. The DJ they recommended went down a treat and all-in-all the day was even better than we could ever have expected. Thanks guys!

Following a February sunny day on the beach we wanted a dog friendly place to eat and really fancied a proper Sunday roast. A quick search and rating put our eye on The Huntsman and reading the description of menu we set our sights here. In short did not disappoint and the kids [dogs] were made very welcome too.

Second time we have stayed here. Truly dog friendly. Good size room, large comfortable bed, had everything you could want, as well as great shower. A good selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate in room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the evening was really good quality, I had the crab ravioli which I would highly recommend. For breakfast I had the toasted muffin with scrambled egg and salmon, it was faultless, really top quality salmon. Will defiantly return.

Stayed at the Inn for two nights, staff were very welcoming! Room was presented well with a big comfy bed and great bathroom facilities. Breakfast was delicious, we’d highly recommend the Eggs Royale, was sublime! Also had a lovely roast one evening too! The location was perfect, right on the outskirts of the forest and straight off the main road! Also our dog loved the Inn too! Would we stay here again, Absolutely!

The whole experience at the Filly was perfect. Great atmosphere and location. The staff all seemed to enjoy working there and were positive, efficient and very welcoming. Room was a good size, had great walk-in shower and very comfy bed. There was a really good selection of teas and coffees. Also the selection of toiletries and extra items, such as razor, toothbrush and pillow mist, was excellent. We booked for three nights B&B and the breakfasts were excellent. Quality sausages and bacon, poached eggs were perfect and scrambled eggs were rich and creamy. We ate there for the three evenings and again food consistently tasty and of good quality. Slow braised lamb shepherds pie was so rich and tasty. Also the cherry compote with ice cream and waffles was so good I had it two evenings! Definitely a place to visit, location perfect for getting bus if you just want to leave car there. Bus straight through to Southampton in hour.

A pleasant visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was nice, freshly made and plentiful. I had the Avocado and cherry tomato baguette and my friend had the scampi. We went on a Wednesday lunchtime and there weren't many other patrons.

Lovely sea food sharing platter. Came out quick and hot. Cost £19.50. We sat in the beer garden behind which was lovely in the sun. Inside was clean only problem there are steps to bar and toilets so not very good if you have a wheelchair. There's a pool table and wall mounted tvs.

I loved the restaurant and the vibes the moment I walked in… Sorry literally did a photo video dump of what I had and experience whilst at the Spa retreat as a small bday treat to myself. Such a beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. If you come in via the hotel entrance it was the most wonderful immersion before the wonderfully delicious food! The Emmental Choix Buns were recommended when I gave them the few amuse bouche that I wanted to try. They were delicious! (If you like and can eat cheese). I then went for the lobster soup which was very flavoursome. Wasn’t sure what I was meant to do with the mayo but as you can see from the photos… I did my usual thing of experimenting… I trusted the mix of flavours presented to me and put them together. I’m a believer that when there’s all sorts on a plate, you should try eating all flavours together to taste or for that course. I was pretty much set on main until I got to the restaurant but I decided to go for (Marle?) their fish option which was perfectly cooked. To finish, I had a yummy liquid dessert which was similar to a Sauternes but even better as it was slightly less sweet. If you stay at Carey’s I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, their spa and other restaurants. The staff throughout the hotel were also lovely and friendly from reception to the lovely staff who prepped our room and the bar staff (even when tenet were busy).

Lovely atmosphere and luckily the weather was so nice - came here after a long hiking trip and the duck was fabulous. Local cider from Normandy is highly recommended 👌 loved the icecream. I think it could be cheaper maybe.

Charming restaurant with loads of character inside and out. You are temporarily transported to Paris inside and a stunning French garden outside. The food was beautiful and tasty - we had the salmon, caprese starter with locally grown tomatoes, and a veggie burger. Even the children’s chicken was fab. Definitely worth a stop.
