The rooms are amazing and at 400 years old you feel the history. High quality fixtures and fittings throughout along with complimentary bottles of whisky and gin and awesome smelling bathroom toiletries. Breakfast was spot on, we didn't eat at the restaurant for an evening meal. Limited menu and a bit pricey I thought.
Fantastic pub, hotel and restaurant, located in the middle of the village. During our stay last weekend, we were made to feel welcome and the village locals that we meet in the bar were friendly and great company. The staff were super helpful and we had an enjoyable break.
Only had food, but it was excellent, and great service (feedback card said Izzy but there was another lady also serving, both excellent 👍🏻) Yes, it's a bit more than most 'gastropubs' but the food is restaurant quality, decor, service and everything else to match. Had the stewed beef cheeks on mash with cavolo Nero and gravy, which was fantastic, my wife had pork belly which she loved. 12.5% voluntary service charge but happy to pay it. Will go back👍🏻
