Great place, great food, and a cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend the burger with some toppings on the fries. It has really good home made desserts as well. Everything is spot on, the staff is super friendly and will help you with anything, James is the mastermind behind it all and he is an absolute genius with all his creations in the kitchen. Superb café.

Lovely little cafe, very clean in and out. Service and food were spot on. Menu is varied and the coffee is of great quality too. Homemade cakes look gorgeous ❤️ Was quite busy when we visited (Saturday morning) but service was faultless and we didn’t wait long at all. Atmosphere was friendly, we sat outside as weather was nice for a change 🤣 Had a nice chin wag with fellow customers. Really nice vibe, I can’t wait to visit again. Thanks 🙏

Lovely family run cafe. Friendly staff, fresh and quality food and lovely drinks. Only recently moved to this part of Lowton but Harlays is quickly becoming a frequent part of our week.

Got myself a very good takeaway cappuccino and caramel Biscoff traybake. Had half of the traybake when I got in and saved the other half for later. It was lovely. Nice to see a good vegetarian selection on the menu while I was waiting for my coffee.

We had a very lovely coffee and chai latte from Ergo Coffee Shop today! Lovely, smiling and very welcoming staff! The cakes look so tasty, have to try them (we have to go to there with kids as well as they would love them!) ⭐ This place makes a big difference - we needed a nice local coffee shop! Great job to the owner and the staff ❤️

What a lovely gem of a cafe. The food is exceptional. I had the falafel and hummus salad, my friends had the Greek salad and the satay salad. I can’t remember ever enjoying a salad this much, it was fresh, crunchy, delicious, served beautifully and by a smiling and friendly waitress. The prices were surprisingly good too. The coffee was excellent, and there are some good looking cakes to try next time. I’m going back for more vegan deliciousness as soon as I can! Brilliant.

As a ceoliac new places are scary but not here the staff was so helpful, polite and kind explained everything to me. Very clean and spacious. Great food bread was Schar which is one of the best, cakes delicious. Tea was good quality and a good size teapot. Will definitely be going back.

Lots of space inside and plenty of seating. All nicely set out and decorated. Good tea and coffee selection, including decaff. A good menu selection with vegetarian options. I had a baked potato with cheese and beans and salad, which was tasty. The cakes all look amazing and it was hard to choose one, so we bought a couple to take away with us and they tasted as good as they looked.

Must visit for music fans! Really quirky little cafe in the town centre. Had a takeaway breakfast sandwich 🥪 during a visit to Leigh. Friendly owner and warm atmosphere. Did I mention quirky?

I'm a support worker in the community and have to meet some clients in cafés for different reasons, mostly homelessness. The staff here are, kind and friendly and even supplied fresh water and courtesy biscuits. I'll definitely be using this place for a third time for work. Thank you for being so welcoming oh and the cappuccino was so good had to order a second one 😁

One of the best cafes in leigh, if you get the chance go and support them absolutely bang on point. Food, staff and sometimes evening entertainment 10 out of 10 x

Called in today for a coffee and cake. It really is in my opinion a retro style cafe with good wall decorations of music memorabilia. Background music was not too loud and while I was in the music was from the 70's. Good atmosphere, very friendly staff, great coffee, good size muffins and very reasonably priced.

What a cute little place. Great value and great quality cafe offerings! Stopped in for a takeaway as there was nothing at the train station. I ordered a club sandwich without bacon. I fully expected a tin foil wrapped toastie but instead recieved a lovely box full of a double decker toastie, with extra chicken to account for no bacon, coleslaw, salad and crisps. Delicious! Great decaff flat white (not all decaff is good) and the most delicious brownie (photographed from my train!).

Brilliant little coffee place with great strong bodied coffee and very good cakes. The decorations inside are very quaint and thoughtful.

Small place in close quarters with other diners, making it quite noisy. Plenty of seating on the ground floor with more downstairs. The decor creates an ambiance with a cosy atmosphere. Staff very friendly, smiley and happy to help with great table service. About a 30 minute wait for the food. I got the Barbeque Boston Butt (Special) - pulled pork, chorizo, melted cheese on toasted sourdough bread with a side of salad, coleslaw and crisps. A handful of crisps on the side. Small, standard salad with a drizzle of dressing and a smattering of coleslaw. The main focus is clearly the ‘Butt', which tasted great! The pork was well flavoured with the bbq sauce and the cheese well melted. The chorizo was a good addition flavour-wise, but meant that the toppings all easily slid off the toasted sourdough. I also had a cup of tea and cake. The tea was very good, a decent sized cup and a Speculoos biscuit on the side. The carrot cake was very moist, well spiced and full of walnuts. A light, creamy, very complimentary icing, topped with more walnuts. Though I did find the cake fell apart a little too easily, so I had to chase a lot of it around my plate. Overall, a very good place for a tasty lunch.

Wow! I’ve been coming to Mama J’s for the past year or two to enjoy the odd cup of coffee but today I decided to go for lunch and try some of the food out. Firstly, I discovered a new part of the cafe which has recently been renovated at the back of the building in a small courtyard but very well furnished. The space is beautiful and very peaceful. The food was impeccable and the quality of the ingredients was very impressive. I ordered a BOB from the special menu and it was to die for. Value for money and I would definitely have food there again. If I could give 6 stars I would. Thank you :)

My colleague and I visited the café on Monday and had a lovely cup of coffee. The place was spotless and we was greeted with a very warm welcome. The cakes looked delicious, though we resisted as we were trying to be good! The food smelled fantastic too. A brilliant spot for anyone wanting a cuppa and a bite to eat! :)

After the stress of getting my children into school, I look forward to my daily latte. The coffee here is quite simply delicious with the perfect amount of froth! The tea is also good as I like a proper builder's brew! The food is lovely, the pricing is extremely reasonable and the place is spotlessly clean and tidy. The staff here make you feel at ease and welcome, there's never the feeling of needing to leave as soon as you finish eating or drinking and it's just a lovely place to come to and chill out or chat.

My dad has been going here regularly, it is a lovely cafe. The food is excellent, with a good choice (his favourite is the custard tart) and reasonably priced. Staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Partridge lakes hosted a wreath making afternoon under the tent for around 15 of us. It was the most amazing venue, food, drinks, service and atmosphere were beyond perfect, and they did everything they could to accommodate us. It was a huge hit and will be booking for every social event. Would highly recommended. Thank you to Barbie and her team for going over and above as normal.

What a beautiful venue , we hired for our Christmas wreath making event and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The setting , the lights , the atmosphere the food and drinks were second to none! Will definitely be hiring again for our next event !

First visit to this great cafe and venue . Just been cycling around Croft and Newton and thought we would pop in . A very lovely lady served us and it wasn’t before long that we had a buzz on the hand held buzzer to inform us that the bacon and egg on toast was ready for collection . He had a seat near the lake and being a really sunny day the Carp where high in the water . Food excellent the service was excellent Well done .

Had a bagel and a barm for breakfast, both tasted lovey. Latte could be stronger with more coffee, hot chocolate is nice though. Lovely view both in and outdoors. Tables could have been wiped more regularly since not all people would clear after their meals, ended up clearing an unfinished barm left behind by others.

LOVE Kenyon Hall! We’ve picked pumpkins, been a junior farmer, welly walked, picked fruit and probably sampled half of the cafe & shop by this point. Every season is the best season to visit Kenyon Hall Farm. It is slightly further out for us than other similar places but so worth the drive out. All of the staff are super friendly and really informative in a fun and engaging way on the junior farmer sessions.

It was beautiful and lovely setup. Many freshly made food and ingredients are sold. When we went, it was near the end of November and the Christmas related items were on sale in as well as outdoors. Food was gorgeous and sort or reasonably priced. We will visit again definitely!

We’ve visited Kenyon Hall Farm twice now, once for strawberry picking and another for pumpkin picking. We absolutely love it. It is huge! Incredible value. The farm shop is lovely as is the cafe and all of the staff! They also have a children’s play area outside that my son loves, especially the play tractor. 🚜 would definitely recommend and will be back very soon.

We visited Kenyon Hall Farm for this first time over the weekend for pumpkin picking with our 20 month old son. Just wanted to feedback that we had such an amazing day. It will be a core memory for us as a family. So well thought out, the staff were so kind and our little one especially loved the tractor ride and play area. We will be back soon!

What a fabulous place, so many pieces of railway memorabilia. The station cafe is lovely with a warm welcome and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely meal in here. I was very impressed with the whole restaurant. It has loads of history all around the place. You can sit at a table or in a carriage. We sat inside a carriage. All the staff were very helpful. The other customers were fun too. We had a cheese and bacon omelette for £8.95 and a tuna and mayo sandwich £5.85 also some drinks it came just under £20. We booked a table. I would recommend booking a table. This restaurant has everything, great food and great train history. A definite place to check out

Well worth a visit. A beautiful station turned into a fabulous cafe/bar. Victorian style at its best, so well thought out and decorated. A cafe with style and atmosphere. Great food, staff and decor. We got a train from Urmston to Irlam just 6 mins. Then we had a lovely lunch and drinks at this great cafe.

Great place for drinks and cuppas and cakes. More recently we attend the baby club on a Tuesday which has been an amazing place to meet other moms and babies ! It’s a great local place to meet and makes such a difference. Highly recommend this place especially if your a new mom and want to meet others

Absolutely LOVE this place! We have just discovered this little gem and couldn’t be happier. The drinks, the food, the attention to detail and the finest ingredients help make this place one of Newtons best. Lovely owners and lovely staff. Well worth a visit.

Was staying in the area and heard about this cafe, so walked there on a cold wet day. As soon as I arrived there was a lovely atmosphere and welcome. The hot chocolate was perfect on a cold day and food delicious. Everyone friendly and super welcoming. Highly recommend this place.
