This was our first time visiting this cafe with our friends. The staff members were very friendly and the service was good. The food!!!!! I must say, the breakfast was very nice. You can taste the quality of the meat and the food was well prepared. The Vegetarian breakfast was amazing. My wife said the vegetarian sausages were very nice and the ingredients were fresh. The children's menu was very good and the hash browns were very tasty. Thank you for a lovely breakfast and we hope to see you all again soon. Many thanks Kish

Lovely cafe only just found this place. Superb full English with the choice of adding extras. Fresh local produce 😀 we had our dogs with us and they brought out sausages for the dogs which was a lovely touch. The breakfasts include a drink so they are great value for money 😀

Just had lovely lunch there. My friend & I enjoyed our respective meals. Freshly cooked & well priced. Staff really friendly & helpful. Carrot cake was delish! Will defo go again. Thank you 😊

We purchased items from the charity shop, and we had breakfast in the cafe. The whole atmosphere was of kindness and it was a really enjoyable visit, we will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Lovely little cafe in a beautiful town. Had the medium breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Just what was needed after a night camping on the Moor. Good value for money, sausages tasty, eggs cooked perfectly and a good cup of tea and coffee. Service was impeccable, the waitresses were polite and helpful. On the whole we felt very welcomed and enjoyed our breakfast

So I eat a lot of cheese and onion pie and I've had it in many places and Bobbys at the Square make the best one I've ever tasted, it's amazing and the homemade chips are a nice touch too. The breakfasts and chilli is pretty decent too.

Been back after covid and after they had a fire. The food was Soo much better then I remember before very good portion sizes, amazing flavours and reasonably priced. Loved the gyoza and burger very tasty! Excellent service and very attentive staff. With each course they came and asked if everything was ok and made sure our glasses were never empty. Superb evening

Visited today for the first time. What a gem of a place. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered through the door. We both had the roast beef dinner, which was very well presented and tasted delicious. Staff checked to see if everything was ok with our food and offered us more drinks. I had the chocolate and toffee tart for dessert, which was absolutely divine. We will definitely return, our trip was worth the 45 minute drive. Thank you and all your staff.

We had our wedding in the cabin and we couldn't have asked for better. The communication and planning prior to the day was great and Lisa and the staff were accommodating with my requests. It was made simple and easy. On the day of our wedding we had nothing to worry about, staff were great and attentive, food was amazing and our guests were impressed with the venue as a whole. The Host and all the team members were fantastic. We booked a table for 17, 9 adults...8 kids at short notice for a birthday meal🎈 🥳 🎂 The Host and team were all happy, friendly and pleasant. Our drinks and food orders arrived at the on time so no one was waiting for their food or 🍷 🍻 order Over all a great delight to have dined in pleasant friendly atmosphere.

Lovely cosy pub vibes, very popular with the hill walker crowd. Food was spot on had the lamb Henry with was lovely and tender with buttery mash. The chips were proper home cooked style and lovely. Great place, good food and reasonably priced. Would visit again.

Brilliant pub , up on the Pennines ! I have visited and eaten here many times!! Today I had a proper Yorkshire Farmers Dinner , Barnsley Chop! It was huge!!!! A fantastic GLUTEN FREE option!! The GLUTEN FREE menu is great!! Lots of choice! It's a great place to come during the Summer too , to watch the Sunset!! The staff are very pleasant and helpful! It was rammed , so best to leave it until later to eat! One of my favourite pubs!

Drove passed on the way to Todmorden and looked inviting especially with elevation and views so called in on the way back home . Nice traditional pub and food looks very nice and good value was quite busy unfortunately we were about ten minutes late for food but had a look at menu and specials board and we will be back . Staff friendly especially landlord who chatted to us while we enjoyed our drinks ..

Excellent food every time we visit. Tapas this time, 4 plates between 2 of us was plenty. Friendly service with a smile, too. Haven't stayed in a room since we're local.

Had a meal here and can't recommend enough! The food, the staff and the atmosphere was brilliant. Very reasonably priced when considering how good the food was! Top restaurant.

A great Christmas Lunch, superb food and a great view of Hollingworth Lake from our table.....this is a must try venue you will not be disappointed .

OMG have the cheese & onion pie.. Absolutely the tastiest I have ever had, everything else was lovely too, real mash, good coffee and dog friendly. Perfect

This is the best cafe I have been to for a very very long time. The breakfasts were absolutely superb, high quality ingredients and the chef really knows his craft! And still very reasonable. Beautiful setting and very friendly, happy staff in a light and airy setting.

Just had the breakfast wrap and all I can say is wow! Arrived supper hot and packed with the most beautiful and best quality ingredients. The bacon was so thick with no fat on and the sausage was one of the best, if not best I’ve ever had. Mushrooms were tasty and the wrap was very well presented. Excellent value for money for the quality of food you get. Didn’t have to wait long for delivery either. Will definitely be ordering one again, soon. Thank you guys. Hats off to the Chef x

The staff went an extra mile by accommodating my 2 dogs. The waiter got 2x bowls with cut up sausage for my dogs at no extra cost. So polite, helpful and the food we opted for was class. Presented well and a very tasty light bite.

A shining light of hospitality right on the lake front. Gorgeous sundown views over the lake and the rowers and the geese. Wicked double espresso with a shot of vodka, decent enough espresso martini, surprisingly poor wines by the glass considering the prices - £7.60 for a large serve of an extremely mediocre Argentinian Malbec I certainly wouldn't expect to pay more than £6 at the supermarket. But it doesn't actually matter. It's such a refreshing and welcoming place in the middle of a long hike, lovely young Italian staff at the bar (from Napoli), extremely accommodating. Highly recommend it.

Really fabulous venue next to the lake. Just perfect! Lovely views of the lake and the scenery. Gorgeous food. Great varied choice of drinks. An ice cream van on site. Air conditioning inside. Highly recommended if you visit the lake. Perfect spot and great atmosphere with lovely people.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was great. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the steak and mushroom pie. Will definitely be going back and another walk around the lake.

Absolutely amazing little place right next to the lake just beautiful on a sunny day. Staff very friendly and nice always full of smile. Inside is spotless clean. The food is very good priced and always spot on with taste. Gets very busy on sunny weekend but during the week is just perfect.
