“Heaven! May not be to everyone’s taste but the Berrylicious French Toast was perfect. The right amount of tautness mixed with just the perfect level of sweetness. Admittedly I was initially confused by the candy floss topping thinking to myself why on earth put a ball of cotton as a topping for the toast 🙈. A definite must visit.”

Common Ground Coffee Shop

“This is a pleasant little coffee shop popped up near the river. You will easily miss it if you are walking along the river side, but cross near the little park and you will see it. Coffee is OK, not great or terrible. Been twice and perhaps a little weak? Food was nicely presented and prepared and reasonably priced. A bit of a shame they don't use better sausages than Richmond we have a few nice butchers in the area! But I'm sure I'll pop back, nice chill little place with decent enough food and coffee.”

“The absolute best cafe for a layered honey cake- it tastes so incredible that I always have one at the cafe and take out another for later in the day. The shakshouka is so flavourful and delicious, it is really authentic tasting and comes with lots of little sides. Very generous portion. I highly recommend this cafe for breakfast/lunch, everything is made to a very high standard.”

“I can’t praise this coffee shop enough! The staff are absolutely wonderful—so friendly, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. Their customer service is second to none, making every visit a pleasure. The coffee here is simply the best, far superior to the big names like Nero and Costa. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every cup. My personal favourite is the banana blueberry loaf, which is just perfection! If you’re in Ladybarn Village, do yourself a favour and support this amazing independent business. You won’t be disappointed! ☕✨”

“Lovely little coffee shop. It's fantastic to find a place that opens at 8am, especially since I'm vegan and most places I frequent open later. They offer a delightful range of vegan and veggie cakes. Today, I enjoyed a Chai Latte with oat milk—it's the best I've had, thanks to their strong chai spice blend that delivers a robust flavor. We also had an espresso, which was very fruity and a great coffee. We tried a vegan chocolate mini cake with espresso cream. It was delicious, not too sweet, and the frosting was light. The low music creates a calm environment in the morning, perfect for having conversations at a normal level and truly appreciating your drink and food. Thank you! This will definitely become our new go-to spot.”

“One of the favourite places in the local area. Staff is super welcoming, friendly, always in a good mood, food is served beautifully, menu is great too. Prices are very reasonable. We come there sometimes only for a coffee which is greatly made, otherwise we come for our regular dishes (full breakfast and smashed avocado sourdough) and every single time we leave happy. Big thumbs up to the staff and purpose of this cafe. Fully support.”

“Food consistently good but service inconsistent. Some of the people who work there are absolutely lovely, some treat you like you’re a nuisance for daring to enter. Brunch food is lovely (potato hash was a stand out and full of flavour) but just be prepared that we didn’t seem to have the ‘wow’ experience so many others seem to have had.”

“This place under promises on the outside and over delivers on the inside. It looks like your average high street cafe, then you step in to a quirky cool place to eat. Service was perfect & food was 5 star, definitely worth the money. I would recommend this place for breakfast we had the Manc Muffins and they are better than a McDonalds one.”
