Phoned to check availability at 16:30 on a Sunday and was greeted pleasantly on the telephone. Was asked what it was I would like to do but it wasn’t available but a close second was, brilliantly didn’t dismiss us but suggested a different time and not by much. Turned up with a warm greeting by the staff and seated 5 minutes before time. We’d checked the menu before arrival so had a good idea of what to order. One Sunday lunch and a not allowed dietary steak for me 😂😂 the sauce that came with it was amazing and I’d love the recipe or a bottle of it 😂 both plates fully cleared we had to share a desert! Called in here for a light lunch excellent service and atmosphere. Had the Flat iron steak on Focaccia with buffalo mozzarella and fries, very, very nice. Wife had the Brisket sandwich which was excellent. Definitely be back again to try a proper meal.
I chose the chicken flatbread whilst dining here. At £16.95, this was decent value for a substantial and tasty meal. The service was very good. There only negatives were the fact that I was with my Mum, who has walking issues and uses a stick. We were asked to sit at the far end of the pub, which was also furthest away from the toilets and required climbing a few steps, which wasn’t great for my Mum. The music playing was also too loud, however the staff were more than happy to turn down when we asked if this was possible.
Great Sunday lunch, met with some family members, brisket cooked to perfection, no room left for dessert. A personal preference for me would be to be served with a thicker gravy, but it certainly didn't spoil my lunch, will definitely be back soon.
