Verve is a fantastic salon in Matlock. I have been getting my hair cut and coloured by Sam for 10 years and am always super happy after every visit! His colour is particularly amazing and he is also really lovely and fun to have a chat with.

Well what a stunning experience, for a late night Friday glow up with Sam. What can i say the skill and time Sam has is incredible. Nothing felt rushed and everything felt amazing. Highly recommend❤️🤩

Lydia and Holly are just amazing. I’d not been to the hairdressers for 14 months due to health problems. Was really anxious going back today, but I didn’t need to be. They made the environment so relaxed, calm and I felt so at peace being pampered. It’s always nice being greeted by Leroy too 🐶 even though it had been a while since I had last seen Lydia, she still remembered about my life, the pets I have etc. A true professional and so talented. Went to try this hair salon with high hopes but was left underwhelmed. Loved the friendly customer service from the moment I first walked in and the nice touch of being offered sparkling water while waiting for my stylist. The stylist was very friendly too and good at understanding and being able to execute the desired result I wanted. However the reason why I only gave 4 stars and not 5, is it felt like I was being squeezed into a tight time slot and the service felt a bit rushed, and a bit lacking. I was not offered to have my hair styled at the end, which I’ve grown to expect from many other stylists of a similar price point as a complimentary part of the service. The stylist who did my hair dried it in a way that didn’t feel like a professional technique, just wafting the hair dryer around, not using a brush, so I didn’t even get the volume from a nice professionally done blow dry. Left with hair that just fell flat rather than having that special “fresh from the hair salon” feeling. In my opinion when you’re paying for a professional to do your hair, you would want to walk out having it look a bit better than any other day. If anything I feel like I have a better hair drying technique at home. For this reason, I doubt I would go back.

As a visitor to the UK I had been struggling to find somewhere to get my hair cut and coloured. But from the moment I walked into the salon Ashley and the staff made me so welcome and they were determined to fit me in somewhere during my stay in the area. Megan has done a wonderful colour and cut that even my husband commented!! Ashley also called me back as a cancellation came in so I could also get my brows done. You are all team amazing, all of you so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much, all of you. Would 110% recommend this salon.

What a team !!! Moved to Matlock a few months ago and needed a fabulous hairdressers . O wow was I lucky when I found Aspire !! Ashley is so welcoming. Gracie is amazing and has worked magic on my hair . Always wanted low lights but afraid it would be half way hell . O no definitely not in Gracie’s magical hands 🤩 so glad I found this beautiful warm amazing creative team . Can’t recommend them enough .

The ladies at Bloom Beauty got me booked in at a time to suit me and made the process easy. The salon is a small but cosy space that was warm and inviting when I arrived. A lovely environment ran by two lovely ladies. I will absolutely be visiting again and telling my friends!

Such a lovely salon Tiffany is amazing! Went through my consultation and really listened to me. Came up with some really good advice and did a dream job. Absolutely love my hair and cut. Lovely head massage and wash. Also tea and biscuits on demand with a nice warm head heater. Can’t thank you enough for making my day lovely and special. Xxx

It was my second visit to the salon but my first visit for a colour. After 18 months of boxed home kits, my hair was a little yellow. Tricia had some great ideas for my colour and the result is excellent. The best colour I've had in a long time. As far as feeling safe there due to covid, the salon is spotlessly clean and there is plenty of space between clients. I'll definitely be back when the roots are showing!

Hayley was excellent, completely transformed my hair to the colour I wanted. Nice, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. She kept me informed of everything she was doing to my hair and gave me good advice for maintaining the colour. Would highly recommend the salon, and Hayley in particular.

Amazing service, had my hair done multiple times now, everyone is so friendly and all the staff help each other and give advice to ensure you are happy with your decision. Always explain everything if I am not too sure on how to have my hair. Always come out feeling amazing and loving my hair

Just moved to the area and been struggling to find a new hairdresses, not had it done since February, whilst walking around Matlock a few weeks ago I came across Georgia's, nipped in to ask about booking a consultation and patch test, Heather was more than happy to assist there & then, she advised what she thought I needed, gave me a Patch test and booked me in for today. Really impressed with my hair and its exactly how I like it. Thank you Heather for making me feel human again 😊 I also chose Georgia's as there was a price list in the window so I knew exactly what I was going to be charged before booking the appointment instead of getting the price after I'd had my hair done. I would recommend to family & friends if they lived closer.
