I was a little nervous as it was the first time in years using a different hairdresser after the one I used in Sheffield closed. Freya and Laura were so welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere in the salon. Freya did an amazing job at my restyle. She was gentle kind and constantly checking in as she was going. Thank you ladies.

Fantastic salon; both Laura and Freya, are extremely talented hair stylists, (wether it's for a cut, or colour or even an updo for a special occasion) making you feel a million dollars every time you visit. They are both super friendly and give good advice (if needed) on best hair products, or hair problems etc.. Laura does my hair and I'm never disappointed. I also have a few beauty treatments with Freya, each month, which includes, eyelash tint, + eyebrow wax and tint. It truly is an amazing salon to go to, when you feel you want pampering.. I love my visits to this beautiful little salon, a wonderful relaxing experience every time.💖

I'd highly recommend Laura-Beth as hairdresser, She made me feel so welcome when I first walked in as I'm not from around here so felt a bit anxious at first but once we started chatting I felt at ease. I've not had my hair cut for while so going there was breath of fresh air as laura cut my hair really nicely and made my hair feel fresh and tidy again.

Laura has been doing my hair for many years and i always come away so happy with the results. Its a friendly atmosphere and your made to feel very welcome and at ease. Freya did my hair the last time i went and again i came away very happy. Highly recommend x

What a team !!! Moved to Matlock a few months ago and needed a fabulous hairdressers . O wow was I lucky when I found Aspire !! Ashley is so welcoming. Gracie is amazing and has worked magic on my hair . Always wanted low lights but afraid it would be half way hell . O no definitely not in Gracie’s magical hands 🤩 so glad I found this beautiful warm amazing creative team . Can’t recommend them enough .

As a visitor to the UK I had been struggling to find somewhere to get my hair cut and coloured. But from the moment I walked into the salon Ashley and the staff made me so welcome and they were determined to fit me in somewhere during my stay in the area. Megan has done a wonderful colour and cut that even my husband commented!! Ashley also called me back as a cancellation came in so I could also get my brows done. I had a wash and blow dry booked in with Chris - it was such a relaxing and positive atmosphere, Chris was so attentive and listened to my thoughts about styling my hair, as well as giving me suggestions and tips on how to style my hair in the future. Recently started using Fiona and have followed her into this new venture! I went to the new salon once prior to lockdown, and all appropriate safety measures were in place. I have very wacky hair colours and Fiona is never afraid to attempt what suggestion I have next! Even though it’s a time consuming process she always remains so calm, and her time management is amazing! I would not have the patience to do it myself! Amazing quality, amazing prices! I have a mad head of hair, curly and a little unkempt when it gets long. Not many places can do a decent job of it. The Haven fitted me in at short notice, because I had a date I wanted to look good for. Fi did an amazing job, real eye for detail and clearly cares that the cut was good and I was leaving feeling confident. Really recommend it, dead homely and seemingly is trying to use natural and sustainable products which is always good.

Just moved to the area so was nervous about finding, and placing my trust in a new hairdresser.....I need not have worried!! Fiona took the time to listen and understand what I wanted in terms of both cut and colour. She absolutely delivered on both counts. Plus, she is a very warm, welcoming person, who made me feel at ease from the minute I stepped into the salon. Fantastic!! Highly recommended.

I have been using Jess for a few years , I highly recommend her. Jess goes above and beyond. Everytime I go I feel like I'm having a treat, when I have my hair washed it's like a mini head massage, which is fantastic. The salon is very modern, clean and everyone is very friendly and welcoming . Sometimes I can't decide what I want doing with my hair , Jess talks through different ideas, colours and cuts which would suit my face structure, fashion trends etc . I travel from Yorkshire, 1.30hr drive since moving up north as I don't trust anyone else! Well worth the long drive . Thank you Jess

I was so excited when I heard Alma was opening in Matlock, I had to book in as soon as it did! The booking process was so easy, all done online & confirmation given at the end. Upon visiting Alma, I was seated at the plush sofas and given a form to fill in. Once I'd done this, I was seated at one of the nail counters. I had my nails done with bio gel by Louise. She was so lovely, really friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. I opted for gold nails (a bit of sparkle for Christmas) and the treatment was lovely! I also had biogel toes so Louise asked me to take a seat by one of the foot spa basins. This was also lovely and I opted for navy blue which looked lush! I was also offered a drink which came with a gingerbread cookie. The salon itself is absolutely stunning - light and airy and very spa like! It's modern and classy and it's been renovated to an incredibly high standard! Prices at Alba are also super competitive! I'll definitely be visiting again and might have to book a massage soon! Thanks so much for such a lovely first visit to Alba, I'll be raving about you to all my friends and family! x

I’ve had two sets of gel nails with Liz, and both have been fab. She is really thorough and takes time to ensure all the details are perfect. The nail’s themselves are beautiful (the photos speak for themselves) and the incredibly detailed star design lasted for a month with no problems at all. I would really recommend 😊

Liz is THE BEST nail tech I’ve been to. She knew I was nervous about cuticle cutting and make sure I was good with it every step of the way. She’s absolutely nuts just like me and we get on really well. I feel completely comfortable with her and my manicure was perfect! I had character art on two of my nails and it was perfect. When I left there wasn’t any gel under my nails or any imperfections whatsoever which I haven’t experienced elsewhere. She also (nicely) nagged me about nail and cuticle care which is really important. Will definitely be going again!!

I've just started going to Leopard + Chrome and have had 2 brilliant nail sets so far. Lis is super knowledgeable and has great ideas on colour choices & nail art designs. My nails have been quite weak, but Lis is focused on nail health and getting stronger nails. My 1st set lasted longer than I thought they would, far exceeding expectations. Lis is great & makes the experience enjoyable and fun, plus gives you loads of nail care advice. If you want a great experience and long lasting healthy nails then Leopard + Chrome is the place for you.

Lis is the best Nail Tech I have ever been to! Had my 3rd appointment today and have loved every set! I was astounded that her gels have lasted me around 5 weeks with only a tiny chip towards the 5th week and no lifting. Her designs are so pretty and she is super creative and lovely company 😊

Lydia and Holly are just amazing. I’d not been to the hairdressers for 14 months due to health problems. Was really anxious going back today, but I didn’t need to be. They made the environment so relaxed, calm and I felt so at peace being pampered. It’s always nice being greeted by Leroy too 🐶 even though it had been a while since I had last seen Lydia, she still remembered about my life, the pets I have etc. A true professional and so talented.
