Honestly can't recommend enough. Jayne was amazing, the staff friendly and accommodating and the food excellent. Our day was perfect.

Just held my 80th birthday celebration here for 52 people. This is a lovely place with function room, lounge and bar, and the whole place was ours for the day. The drinks are in line with pub prices, so no nasty surprises at the bar. The dining room was beautifully set out, and the food was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful, from the initial visit, through the planning and on the day itself. The weather was lovely and the staff put out tables and chairs, and the children (and adults) enjoyed games on the lawn. The toilets are clean and offer a range of toiletries for use. Everyone had a good day and said what a good venue we had chosen. We, and they, would highly recommend it to anyone.

Had our wedding here in June...fabulous place , staff so friendly and helpful , food great...our guests were very happy.

What a fabulous place for a wedding. Beautiful original features, wonderful staff and management. They were all so pleasant and helpful ALL DAY. The grounds and views are stunning. And if this isn't enough, the food was excellent and all prepared and cooked in their own kitchens. I definitely will be recommending this place to anyone with a " big do" on the horizon. Loved it.

Had our wedding & reception at Thornfield House in February, a well presented venue that is well suited for weddings. Grounds made for excellent wedding photos and was plenty of parking, we had 90 guests. Staff were friendly and Paul our maitre d kept the day flowing without hitch, drinks prices were very fair too. We opted for pork and fish & chips, Nigel delivered, it was lovely. Would certainly recommend the venue.
