Gorgeous pub, food was amazing. Had Ploughman's and cold cuts. The meat was exceptional, so tasty. Also the salad and dressing was fantastic. Homemade all the way! Dogs welcome in the immaculate garden and bar area. What a gem, we will be back.

Really nice decor. It’s well renovated inside whilst keeping much of the original details of this 1600’s listed building. The food and the service are always great. There’s a restaurant area as well as bar area and a large garden with benches. I have tried the burgers, steak, ploughmans, roasts and more and the quality has always been excellent. I’ve been visiting the Jackdaw from time-to-time over the past 10+ years and their quality has always remained excellent which is why it deserves a 5 star from me.

After seeing their well allergy marked menu, we knew we had to visit, and it was well worth the trip. The four of us all had a different dish and we were all well pleased with our choices. Two of us are gluten free and were so happy with the number of options for main and dessert (there were also gluten free starters, but we didn’t try any. Michelle, one of the owners, also came over to let us know about the new desserts and waved us off as we left. Both waitresses we dealt with were very lovely as well.

Visited here for our Xmas lunch and were given the spitfire room. Was so lovely for the 11 of us to feel separate in this wonderful old space. Food was fantastic and the service was good. We spent 3 hours eating lunch and chatting and had a fabulous time. It was really good value also.

Unexpected stop for lunch and turned out to be little jem of a pub. Staff we're very engaging and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit. Best to book ahead.
