Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Truly passionate about her work, cared for us (the owners), and a true support through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you all. We will forever be greatfull 👍

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.

So we bought a dwarf Syrian hamster. Got everything there, cage, wood shavings, food, toys, the cage is big and was only £40, way cheaper than the big online stores.

Can’t recommend enough, the vets/nurses and reception staff genuinely care about your pet and you. My pup needed emergency wound care and she was loved like she was their own. It made the whole experience so much less stressful and we could leave her in very safe hands. You are all amazing, thank you x

Once again Abbey House didn't let me down! I've been bringing my pets here for over 30yrs & travel a round trip of 30 miles - I couldn't even think of taking my pets anywhere else! All the staff are lovely from the warm greeting at reception to the wonderful vets & last night I met one of the cleaning staff who was also lovely! Vets appointments can be traumatic for pets and owners but the staff always make sure everyone is comfortable. When we lost our cat they have offered as much compassion and help as they could. They truly cared for him when he was still alive and when we had to say good bye they were so professional and delicate. All the staff are always very helpful and polite. We’ve never had a problem with accommodating appointments even in emergency situation. Highly recommended vet!

3 years ago during covid we last went here to say goodbye to our beloved dog Tinka, this time after foolishly buying a dog from a pet website a week before christmas we purchased our new dog renamed him Teddy. After a few weeks we realised we were scammed and given a much older neglected dog, we took him straight to this vets who very nicely told us how big a problem we had. Of course he was family now so today he went back in to have alot of his teeth out. After his operation the lovely staff rang and gave me a full report about everything and even gave me time to answer my many questions, Thankyou all for your patience and love Teddy received today, I have worked for many years in the customer service trade as a manager and would like to let you guys know you are all doing a excellent job so again thankyou

I'm so thankful to everyone at Aireworth for looking after my kitten whilst she had AKI. We were so worried that we would lose her but the vets were so reassuring and practical, so we felt in very safe hands. Could not rate more highly. My elderly cat was seen straight away - the receptionist was very compassionate to my obvious distress, and the vet was calm and experienced and able to treat him and clearly explain how to care for him with his medication. He is now starting to get better and I am delighted. Even if there hadn't been such a happy outcome, I feel confident they would have dealt with everything in a gentle manner and done all they could for us. Fabulous vetinary surgery!

Had my dogs registered here for over 2 years now, and i have to say i not disappointed at all so far. Both my American xl bullies and my french bulldog are in the pet health club, so all the fleaing and wormimg medication is included. Recently, I had my xl bullies neutered and spayed. The procedures were done with precision and minimal scarring, and they both received 25% off the total amounts due to the pet health club. The majority of staff are lovely and took a shine to my babies straight away. They received 5* service hands down,i only wish it was closer to me, lol.

Receptionists are so lovely and friendly, Jennifer is a really lovely vet, always listens to the owner and takes her time to help you. Her experience and professionalism shines through. In my years I have seen many vets owning Dogs and horses. It's lovely to have a vet that's friendly, has an amazing way with the dog and is very experianced. All the vets are lovely and caring I have seen at Yorkshire vets but Jennifer is the one I will see if I can win my two dogs. Good experience throughout

After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.

My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. They explained everything clearly and treated Nectar with such kindness and respect. It’s reassuring to know that such great care is available when you need it most. I am not registered with this practice,I am not a pet owner.I called them on the off chance but not really expecting any help for a very poorly wild bird I had overnight.For those saying this practice is all about the money,I couldn't disagree more.Unfortunately the bird had to be put to sleep,I wasn't charged,I offered a donation which they didn't accept for themselves but instead referred me to a local animal charity 'pink paws'.I would also like to mention that when I arrived this morning before opening there was a chap infront of me waiting outside that had been given (in passing) a fledgling that had fallen from the nest,this bird was not euthanized and I assume the practice will know of someone that can care for this chick.From what I have experienced and witnessed,this practice goes above and beyond,I have been humbled by the generosity,kindness and compassion of this amazing team.

Visited here for an annual check up and vaccine for my young adult cat. I thought the first vet, a woman, was really lovely, patient and great at handling him. The second time we visited we had a male vet who didn't pay much attention to my cat or how anxious he might've been feeling, he just told me to hold him while he administered his vaccine. I thought the experience was a bit off putting but it got the job done and I have a happy & healthy kitty. Overall good but a bit pricey.

Needed an emergency vets whilst on holiday in Whitby. Skeldale was able to see us promptly and the consulation fee was far less than some other quotes we received. It was a 100 mile round trip but it was worth it. Staff are all very friendly and polite and the vet clearly explained the treatment options and costs. The vet did a fantastic job treating our dog. Couldn't fault them in any way and would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.

The practice staff were professional , kind understanding and informative throughout when we had a poorly pet. Since moving vets this is the first time I have had to bring one of dogs. He is usually a very nervous dog but right away, we were met by friendly staff who put ourselves and Archie at ease. This was continued when we met the vet who made archie feel comfortable, didn't try to push products on us, explained possible treatments and costs, and was knowledgeable and friendly throughout. We ledt feeling like even the vet had Archies best interests in mind opposed to trying to rack up the highest bill. Best vets visit since he was a pup, now he's 8! Would definitely recommend.
