I cannot recommend this vets enough. They were recommended to me back in 2010 when we had our first rescue staffie called Annie who loved going to Blackberry vets. Sadly she passed so we have adopted another rescue who isn’t so keen to visit Blackberry due to her anxiety so we are going to book some socialiation visits.

I have had nothing but a positive experience from Blackberry vets in my 15 years as a dog owner. Friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate staff who love the animals. I have never had any issues obtaining an appointment when required, plenty of parking and lovely surroundings. Very happy to recommend.

First visit with Whimpy Westie for booster. Very clean premises, staff friendly and welcoming, efficient and helpful. Ted impressed with attention and treats and didn't notice injection going in. Fees clearly displayed on website where appointments can be booked.

The service from Skylark is a cut above. What I love is the very personal service and the way they approach things: you never just leave an appointment with a box of antibiotics as you do with so many other vets. You leave with husbandry and dietary advice, the information you need on surgical and other options, medicine as required and the certain knowledge that if you need to pick up the phone again afterwards you can speak to the people who treated your pet the first time. It's how a vet should be in my opinion and I can't recommend them highly enough. [They look after my chickens and my very reactive dog.]

Being animal lovers we have had various pets over the years and have experienced different vets. In Skylark vets we have found something that all loving pet owners look for: professionalism and expertise combined with empathy, compassion and kindness. The practice is over one hour’s drive from where we live but the vet and her nurse managed to fit us in after our sudden call to help our cat in distress. We were relieved to have our pet seen to in his familiar surroundings and very grateful for the sensitivity displayed by the vet at a very sad time for us. It’s a pity that we live far away from the skylark vets practice but would be willing to drive any distance to entrust our pet to their care. We highly recommend them.

Relieved to get an appointment on a bank holiday weekend when our 'default' vets was closed. Have now swapped to this practice as the service was great and common sense was used, plus their prices were cheaper too! Definitely worth looking around, even if the vets are owned by the same company, the prices can still be very different.....

I wanted to take this opportunity to express how grateful we are for the excellent care and advice you’ve provided over many years. We have been bringing our greyhound, Scarlett, to your practice since she was first rehome, many years ago, and more recently, our 5-year-old Saluki. Even though we live in London, it’s always worth the drive to visit you, whether it’s for a dental check-up, or a full health assessment as was the case last week. The thorough and professional care you offer is second to none, and we always feel that Scarlett and our other pet are in the best hands possible always. One thing that stands out to us is how comfortable Scarlett is during every visit. Her relaxed and calm body language inside your clinic speaks volumes about the level of trust she has in your team. This sense of ease reassures us that she is receiving top-quality care, which, I’m sure, has contributed to her excellent health. Despite being nearly 13, Scarlett looks and acts much younger, with no significant health concerns — a testament to the outstanding guidance and support we’ve consistently received from your practice over the years. Not easy doing a review when we have just said goodbye to our beloved 14 year old greyhound. But we were recommended Lingfield Lodge 11 years ago and despite it being 15 miles away I wouldn't have wanted our dog seen by anyone else. Thank you Lingfield Lodge (Special thanks to Hubert). All staff at Portland Vets were amazing, king, empathetic and supportive in the last few days of loosing my dog. Support of bereavement and keep sakes after my boy was cremated and receiving cards with prints. They go above and beyond. Thank you Portland Vets 🐾

I have just brought my cat in to be checked by the nurse as he has and the service, kindness and affection that was shown to myself and Marley was amazing! They were all so very lovely and reassuring. I feel so confident that my cat is in such good hands when he’s there. 😊
