I found this lovely little (locals ) pub on my recent stay in the area, which I visited several times. It is a great place to stay if you like walking as there are many routes nearby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, as were all the locals. It has a great atmosphere. I took my family in one evening to have dinner. The food was very tasty. We will definitely go back when next in the area.

Friendly welcome, great cask beer, and a genuinely warm and homely atmosphere. Wasn't able to eat (was a bit early) but word from the locals is its very good - and I was very tempted to stay for some sausage casserole!
