“Staying at a campsite just down road. Cycled along the Tissington trail to pub (a very short distance). Had a roast on the Sunday and returned on the Wednesday. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I absolutely recommend this pub and if we are in the area again we will definitely go back.”

“We stayed here for one night and it was excellent! We were expecting just a room with ensuite but I think as we were the only guests we were given a small apartment. The bed was very comfortable with fantastic pillows. The towels were were extra large. Super clean and the decor was second to none. Everything had been really thought through. We didn't hear any noise from the bar below once we closed the door. Rooms are up lots of stairs so if mobility is an issue then, this not for you. We hope to return and next time book a table too.”

“Best customer service in England so far, never seen such well-mannered young staff working in a restaurant. Staff knew the menu very well, and the suggestions were amazing. The food was delicious and fresh. Portions are quite big. We requested a small candle for a birthday, something that is not on the menu. The waitress came with the cake singing happy birthday. How nice and lovely! Thank you to the management for having such a lovely team and a great chef!”

“Fabulous pub. A group of 9 of us went on Tuesday Night is Pie Night. We had such a huge choice of homemade pies, sides and gravies. Nutella Cheesecake, Trifle and Sponge Puddings were superb as well. The service was outstanding, the young lady who served us was an absolute superstar. I had Chicken and Chorizo Pie, Cheese and Bacon Mash, Chips Shop Mushy Peas and Gravy. It was so good. I was driving, so they even made me a pot of tea.”
