Lovely shop with lovely staff. The owner Rich is really friendly and his home cooked meals are amazing. They do a pizza night now on Wednesdays so will definitely be there for one of those. Highly recommend

Lovely place, inviting and a very pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Richard and the team are really friendly and welcoming - no pressure if you're just browsing! But you won't come away empty handed!. Really nice selection of food stuff (think all sorts of dairy, fruit, veg, meats, baking, treats, cake and ice creams etc ) and fresh tea's and proper fresh ground coffee, cold drinks etc. I think they're reasonably priced, too. You can get takeaway food (I've seen bacon butties and proper oven baked jacket potatoes, etc) and drink, and there's a little table and chairs outside to sit and enjoy something. It's covered but open sided. Fresh bread from the loaf at Crich is on a Monday (I think) and we all know that's a great bakery. But it goes quick! It's become a regular stop off for me and my mum. Lots of parking spaces and just a wide shallow step up to the shop door, it's all flat inside, so great access for the infirm or wobbly of legged!

Oh my goodness the bread from this shop was delicious! We had the sun dried tomato sourdough, and bought their garlic and peppercorn dipping oil! Delicious!

Called in a few times when passing by for breakfast or lunch and a coffee. The pork stuffing and apple sauce cob I had recently was a meal in it self and I can’t wait to try the Yorkshire pudding and beef cob. The home-cooked frozen meals are great value and really tasty. And of course there is all the other great food that is available. If you are nearby then The Farm Shop is well worth a call

We called last minute to make a booking for 8 for a celebration. Anita was absolutely lovely on the phone and when we arrived in the evening it was to a friendly warm welcome. Everything about Couplings feels like it has been carefully considered to give patrons a relaxing, high end experience. The atmosphere is great, the drinks fantastic and the sharing boards are excellent. All of us (ages 19-65) enjoyed it and said we’d like to return and next time try the dessert board too! Thank you both for a lovely evening. Highly recommend 💜

First visit to this recently opened venue; love it! Eclectic and stylish decor throughout, making the very best of the space available. A modest yet varied wine selection makes choosing a favourite and pairing with food easy. A tantalising menu that is matched perfectly with the refreshments on offer makes for an all round excellent experience. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike … will be frequent visitors.

Second visit this evening after an enjoyable first experience. First visit we were greeted by the gentleman owner who chatted to us about the establishment and decor. The decor is gorgeous, tasteful and warm atmosphere. Second visit tonight was also lovely, busy with most tables occupied or reserved. Would probably benefit from a third person to help as the owners looked super busy! Although we didn’t try the charcuterie boards they looked amazing, we will definitely be back to sample them! Lovely to chat to the owners, makes it more personable. Lovely vibe, great place. Also nice to have a new bar at that end of the town. Great wine and 8% lager! Good luck 🍀

It was the lads Christmas party and decided to come to the Bull Shed for our meal. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lively. Although we had to wait between courses, we had a lot of catching up to do. The lamb chop was worth that wait.

This was our first visit to The Bull Shed and we loved it! It's very rustic, and very friendly and down to earth. Going job we booked as it was almost full. My husband and I had a melting camembert sharer to start - loads of bread and cooked to perfection. Then we both had rib eye steak, which came with chips, mushrooms, corn on the cob and a couple of cherry tomatoes. I can honestly say it was the best steak I've ever had. The service was great, staff were very welcoming and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend A ++

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Visited after booking at the last minute with my partner, greeted by welcoming staff the atmosphere was wonderful a rustic traditional country atmosphere set in an old barn. The drinks menu is extensive and reasonably priced. You pre order your food so the starter is delivered to your table quickly. The food was tasty and good portion sizes. We had the sharing cheesy garlic mushrooms it’s served with both white and brown bread to assist with the enjoyment of dipping the juice up. I ordered the 16oz ribeye steak medium rare and that’s exactly what was served both well cooked and extremely tender and tasty. My partner had the fillet steak medium well and again cooked to perfection, both served with mushrooms tomatoes corn on the cob and skin on fries. We followed this with dessert. The whole experience was wonderful the food well cooked and enjoyable. We will definitely be visiting again.

Our second time here, first time trying the grazing menu. Food was absolutely outstanding. Louis made our experience special and memorable. Sam and Sadie were very efficient too. Totally recommended. Big thank you for our Instagram competition prize.

The Lighthouse's Summer 24' menu is extraordinary . We thoroughly enjoyed all dishes which went very well with the drinks pairing. Every dish, from the Japanese Milk Bread with butter to the Orkney Scallop with massaman and chili lime cashews, was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Overall, the Summer menu at The Lighthouse is a testament to their culinary excellence and I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience here last night celebrating a belated anniversary. The food was incredible - our particular favourites were the 4 courses to start and the two desserts, but we weren’t disappointed with even one dish. The service was another highlight, everyone was very attentive and polite, however one of the service staff in particular (I apologise for not remembering her name!) went above and beyond with her drink recommendations, her attitude and conversation, answering any questions we had, and thoroughly helped elevate our experience even more! I cannot wait to come back again to try their different seasonal menus, this has been a real find and I really hope they get their Michelin star soon as they really deserve it. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable evening!

We received warm welcome, the food was amazing and the large double bed was super comfy. The creaky floorboards and uneven floor in the bedrooms added to the charm! Lovely bedding, with a rabbit theme throughout. Would recommend!

Lovely pub, excellent service and phenomenal food! We went on curry night! The lad who spoke to us on the phone said it was fully booked but he could squeeze us in, which was lovely. The curries were absolutely delicious!! Will definitely be back again!

Went over for lunch today and what an experience. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was incredible! We ordered a lot as the menu had some delicious options. The lamb chops were my favourite and after speaking to the staff I found out they were locally sourced too. The menu also had some vegetarian and gluten free options which was great. The quality was amazing and the flavours were rich and tasty. The spice levels were perfect and I still can't get over the flavour. Highly recommend if you're passing through or local.

Stayed a few miles from here for a week, but enjoyed the outdoor space (great weather) and hospitality, we came for a drink most days. If you like Indian food, don't make the assumption this is pub grub trying to do Indian, the "lamb curry in Mums special sauce" is to die for, great flavours it beats any Indian restaurant I've ever been to. We bought take out, and a portion to bring home it just leaves you wanting more.

A beautiful place, out in the middle of nowhere. Lovely decor, friendly staff and fantastic food. A little pricey but worth every penny once you taste the food and get all the wonderful flavours your mouth. So if you're on a budget maybe try somewhere else. However if you're after marvellous food look no further.

Absolutely fantastic meal, we booked for Burns night and it exceeded our expectations! The service was brilliant from the moment we walked in, the team couldn't have been more helpful and genuine. The food was outstanding, presented perfectly and the starter that came with a treacle bread roll was perfect! Having the haggis paraded in with bagpipes was the perfect addition to the evening. It was a really great atmosphere and we will absolutely be going again soon. Couldn't fault a thing!

New Head Chef and new menus. We booked for his second evening service. It's a set menu of 2 course £38 or 3 course £45. With lovely homemade bread and butter to start. For starters we chose the Chicken Terrine and Joe's hand dived scallops which were absolutely delishes. Mains were Cornish Cod,Brassicas,Chard,Smoked Roe. Beef loin & cheek, Celeriac, White onion. A dessert of Chocolate ,70% Valrhona Chocolate, Espresso, Clotted Cream. And a delightlighfully large plate of cheeses. The menu will change depending on what fresh local produce is delivered. The food was perfectly executed, as expected from a young talented chef such as Adam.It was great to meet him again and to see him back in action. Staff were pleasant and professional. The pub is part of Berkeley Inns, which is a small pub group with some other great venues. They are clearly aiming high with this new head chef appointment for their casual fine dining. We'll look forward to see how they develop and the word gets out. Future awards and accolades are on the horizon for sure.

Absolutely excellent pub. Service really was first rate, Michelin star-like. Goats cheese starter was very fresh. Can’t go wrong with a pint of Marstons Pedigree. Two EV chargers in the car park.

I’ve driven past here many times and still meaning to go we finally went yesterday and the food did not disappoint. The flavours and taste was very nice. Was really impressed with starters and mains. Children menu was also very nice soup was a little on the peppery side for kids but was nice. The espresso martini was nice and the outdoor seating which we didn’t get to use was quite unique and a nice touch will try it out next time. Will definitely be visiting again as it’s so close and location was great.

Just beautiful! Absolutely loved it! The food, the ambience and the service. A great place for a catch up, going for a meal or just enjoying a drink. The venue has a few different rooms creating a different vibe in each one. We were placed in the orangery. Great in the summer but can get quite cool in the autumn/winter months. We were enjoying a meal for a staff member leaving. I specifically asked for an area near the pizza oven but unfortunately this was not granted. However the meal was lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and had a great evening. I’ve been here 3 and every time it’s been a great experience. Thank you. 💫

We really enjoyed our visit to the Bluebell! I'd seen a photo of the steak frites online and felt like I had to go and try them! I was not disappointed - we both really enjoyed our mains, and the puddings were incredible too. I'd definitely recommend visiting if you're nearby.

Out for a meal with 2 friends . There should have been 4 of us : he defo missed out. Lovely setting , good food and lovely waitresses . The menu changes every month… so photos are from the August 22 menu . Bit of a treck for us to go from Stoke but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ( already have actually)

Loved this place. The dining area has a spectacular wall to wall window which just draws the eye. It has a boutique feel about. The Staff were excellent the food was fantastic. I had the Coconut and Macadamia crusted salmon and it was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Well done guys 👍

Still going, again and again, as promised; this remains the stand-out best place to eat (IMHO) in Ashbourne! Excellent; no other word for it! Despite living locally for some time, we have never dined here - regretting that now!! One of the best dinning experiences for some considerable time. The interior looks fresh and modern; the staff are utterly professional in everything they do (well trained / very experienced); the food is exceptional in flavour, presentation, and is delivered on hot plates; finally, the menu is seasonal, so expect the dishes to change - Spring, Summer, and Autumn. As I always say: get yourself along, whether local or just passing through … I know we’ll be going again, and again! 😉

Best customer service in England so far, never seen such well-mannered young staff working in a restaurant. Staff knew the menu very well, and the suggestions were amazing. The food was delicious and fresh. Portions are quite big. We requested a small candle for a birthday, something that is not on the menu. The waitress came with the cake singing happy birthday. How nice and lovely! Thank you to the management for having such a lovely team and a great chef!

Very nice small restaurant. We came there without booking on Sunday evening and staff found a table for us. I ordered lamb shank, which was perfectly tender with mash potatoes and vegetables. My wife took rib eye stake, which was the best that we had for a long time travelling around the country. Lovely chocolate brownies for desert. Definitely recommend!!!

Have just had a week there. Staff are lovely, rooms comfortable and not noisy for room above a pub. Food is incredible, reasonably priced, fabulous quality and very generous portions. Good parking, nice atmosphere. Really nice breakfast too. Would very highly recommend. Thank you!

Went for Boxing Day carvery and it was amazing! The dining room looked gorgeous and had a beautiful big tree. The food was so delicious and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. We had never been out for a Boxing Day dinner before and we are so glad we picked the Oak. Cannot fault and will definitely be booking up for next year. Thankyou to all the staff for working on Boxing Day and making it fantastic for everyone who went there.
