New owner is making her mark and the whole place is lovely. Scotch eggs are amazing as are the sausage rolls. Log fire blazing away. Great tea and coffee. Definitely worth a visit and will be trying the Grumpet next time.
Warm and welcoming. My coffee was delicious. Cosy atmosphere by the fire with some choice of games that my youngest really enjoyed. Just what we needed after a long journey in the car.
We travelled to the Peak District today to climb Mam Tor at sunrise and visited Rose Cottage following the descent. We called prior to our arrival to check dogs were allowed - not being from the area. We were given a warm welcome and staff were super attentive and friendly! Breakfast was 10/10! Would highly recommend to tourists! Have attached photos although we are fussy eaters so had several items removed from our dishes (of which the team were also very accommodating of).
What a charming little café! We stopped for brunch and enjoyed sitting by the log burner, which was incredibly cozy after a cold, windy walk. The food was lovely and the staff were so kind to our dog, spoiling her with treats and water. Thank you!
With so many cafes to choose from in the Peak District I can highly recommend this little gem. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely top notch. 👌 Quite possibly the tastiest English breakfast I've ever had. Great value. Lovely cafe in the heart of Castleton. Seating inside or out. Both road side or gardens. 5 mins walk from the public car park. It is also a gallery and jewellery shop but mostly caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The loos were very clean with a very nice modern interior design. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They also do take out coffees and treats.
