My grandson has been tutored by Kirsty for 5 years. She was an amazing support to him during Covid lockdowns, which was a difficult time. Henry is always happy to see Kirsty, even though it is more 'learning' after school. She has helped enormously with his confidence and concentration, and his reading, particularly comprehension, is greatly improved. Kirsty makes learning fun with lots of educational games. He receives good reports from his school and I am sure this is partly due to 'Teatime Tutoring'. Her feedback is very helpful and she always mentions his next steps.

This company was recommended to me by several friends and I highly recommend them too. I have been using Acorn Tutors for over a year to support my children (12 and 10) with Maths and Literacy. The quality of the teaching is excellent, with innovative methods and clever use of technology to engage and enable children. The rapport that the tutor has built with my two (who are very different learners) is based on empathic understanding of children, and obviously a sound knowledge of psychology! I like that the tutor also took the time to email the children's teachers to liaise with them. We used Acorn Tutors upon numerous recommendations during the unfortunate COVID-19 lockdown of 2020. Once it was clear that the Year 6 SATS were not going ahead we utilised Tom's experience and professionalism for twice weekly Zoom lessons for our son in preparation for starting Year 7 at a new much larger secondary school. Tom's professionalism and 'buddy' approach chats really helped him, and ourselves, through a difficult and frustrating time. Whenever they finished their lessons our son was full of confidence and spoke very highly of his methods. Tom has worked with our child for a year leading up to her SATs and we've been very impressed with his ability to work at her speed and keep her engaged every lesson. I would like to thank Tom for all the support he gave me during my A level Biology course. I achieved an A in my A level Biology exam. The A level Biology group lessons were very informative. Along with the information provided in the lesson, Tom used active recall to test us on our knowledge and engaged us in the lesson which deepened my understanding and retention of A level Biology concepts. Furthermore, when we answered long question types we would use an interactive whiteboard to answer the questions, and he would regularly check our work and provide areas of improvement for our answers. Reema's management of the center is excellent. Her connection with the pupils and parents is remarkable and contributes in no small measure to their academic development in Maths and English. The impact on my children (boy and girl) is profound. They are confident and interested in the subjects. They look forward going to the center and doing their homework. It reflects in their performances in school. Both of them are given higher challenge than their classmates in Maths and English. My daughter's reading skills is at Year 2 standard even though she is in Year 1. Kumon English definitely gives her that ability. What can I say? Reema delivers. Excellent service worth every penny. Both of my children have improved significantly in their maths and English since starting at her centre. She's very involved in their learning, always keeps in touch, always send out regular updates and very encouraging...encouraging both the students and the parents! One of my children starts secondary school in September and the other is geared up for GCSEs and I can put their confidence, skills, and solid foundation down to Kumon's help.

As a family we have had experience of how Kumon can help a childs knowledge and confidence by going back to basics and progressing through all the levels. When our daughter began to struggle with Maths in year 2 we started her at the centre with Reema. The secret is plain and simple repetition and little and often. It has been especially helpful to be able to continue throughout lockdown and although we haven't had our weekly face to face sessions Reema has been very good in keeping contact and support over video messaging. Kumon continues through all the school holidays making sure the children don't slip back.

We have been absolutely delighted with the tutoring and support Hettie has given to our 12 year old daughter whilst she prepared for Year 8 grammar school entrance tests.
