Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! For your interest I attach before, during and after photos of their work here in Chandler's Ford We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

Well it’s been nearly a year since Pete and Andy and the team took on my loft conversion. I can say that their professionalism, skill and just hard work finished my project on time to the day !!! Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. We need 5 doors replaced and a new doorway created. Paul removed old the old doors and replaced them with new oak doors. Also created a new door way for the new door and did some repairs to the cabin in our garden. He was always very friendly and helpful throughout with suggestion to overcome some unforeseen problems. Highly recommended.

Paul replaced two rotten window cills in out downstairs. Everything was done well and to time and there were no issues. Price is good and work is good. Efficient and accurate and timely. Good job, well done.

Brett built a bespoke pottery studio for us and we are really pleased. It was a slightly awkward space but he understood what we wanted and gave us the best design and quote. BM carpentry and building carried out our loft conversion and we really couldn’t be happier. The entire project - from initial conversations - until the final completion was so professional and the end result is perfect. Brett communicated clearly with us at each step and was very patient when explaining what needed to be done at each stage and what we should expect. We felt Brett really cared about our views and whether we were happy and he was fully committed to completing in the time frame he had laid out for us. We had great trust in Brett and his team and have used the company a few times for building or carpentry work and are planning on using them again.

BM Carpentry and Building did some work do or me recently (Sept 2023) at my house, to repair and replace some rotten woodwork around my French door and adjacent windows. Brett and Wes did a great job. They came out and discussed it in detail with me first, then subsequently came out and completed the job in a single day. The work done was of good quality, at a fair price and they left things clean and tidy. I had used their services previously once before, a couple of years ago on a bigger job when I was having my house re-roofed and had the same very positive experience then. Ross and Jack built our home ground floor timber frame extension measuring 10m x 8m. They were excellent from start to finish, communication and advice were given throughout and they are returning in October to fit the kitchen. We would recommend them without any reservation.

So pleased I made a call to ‘Little Island carpentry’ last year. I hadn’t even looked at the website but I liked the company name….good enough reason! We soon found out that Ross is extremely personable and his work is immaculate. He takes such pride in doing things well and our hall cupboard looked really smart & tidy after he had installed shelving and built housing around the electric meter & fuse box. Recently he went above and beyond when asked to install new kitchen cupboard doors for us….We thought the carcasses would be ok as the apartment is fairly new. However it turned out they were all out of alignment due to initial poor installation. Many others may have covered this up…but not Ross…thankfully! He set to making everything right before fixing the new doors and now we have a brand new kitchen - it’s perfect in every way. Ross never complains and always looks for solutions. His knowledge and commitment to his work is outstanding He is also a genuinely nice person and I cannot recommend him highly enough - you won’t be disappointed.

Very happy with our new gaming table, it's solid and robust (glad I opted to have the legs as removable, I don't think it would have fit through the door otherwise!). Each of the four "leaves" fit together nicely. We purchased a plastic cover to go under the table cloth to help protect any spillages from reaching the baize mat. We have had a couple of games on it already and it has the cat's approval for comfort. Communication with the company was good throughout. Would recommend for board gaming enthusiasts!

Stuart and the team were incredibly helpful, making the entire process seamless. Ordering wood online can be challenging, but they provided samples to help us find the perfect colour and designed the wall dividers to fit flawlessly. Excellent service—I highly recommend them!

The experience from start to finish has been fantastic! I was given a really reasonable quote, and though additional costs were added (due to extra work which needed to be carried out) these were also really reasonably priced and I was kept well informed about it before the work was carried out. I'd also discovered what can only be described as a nightmare of hidden pipework under the old larder (before work was due to be carried out), and though my own worries about this caused delays with the work starting, Lewis was really supportive in addressing this and was really quick to respond to all of my concerns. Garath fitted my new cabinets, moved my extractor fan/boxing, replaced my windowsill and also worked on a few extra areas in the kitchen and I'm honestly impressed with how good it all looks! All his work has been topnotch and throughout the process he was always polite and took the trouble to answer any questions I had. Work was also finished really quickly which was a bonus! My thanks to you both - can't recommend highly enough!

It all started with a room partition. Christian made the job evolve to what I wanted but could not explain!……and four jobs later he is still helping me make my house a home. So pleased to have found such a great craftsman who gets it just right. As if he was reading my mind. Nothing is too much of a problem as demonstrated by the front door/porch renovation. It looks fabulous! Just worried about giving him such a good review as I have so much work for him to complete so cannot share yet.
