They listen attentively then use their creativity, expertise and design skills to make excellent solutions which surpass our expectations. At all stages they communicate effectively and craft precision pieces which enhance our home and lifestyle. Their enthusiasm is contagious and not only do they love a challenge but also take pride in cleaning up after themselves! From bespoke library ladders to bespoke storage I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Anthony made and fitted a wonderful bespoke window seat for our front room. Great storage underneath via eight doors, and a beautiful oak finish. Excellent friendly service throughout. I would highly recommend their work. We are absolutely delighted with the final product!

Petersfield Carpenters designed and built floor to ceiling cupboards on a whole length of wall. Pleasant and friendly team. Neat and tidy work, the room was left spotless at the end of every day. Si has worked on a number of personal and professional products for me and always delivers great results. A personal favourite is a beautiful ash stand for a vintage butchers block.

Simon built us some understairs storage and a faux chimney breast. Simon easily turned our ideas in reality and did a fantastic job - we couldn't be happier with the end result! He was punctual and professional throughout the build, always asked our input on items and advised us where we needed it. I couldn't recommend more!

I have worked with Si over the years and can’t recommend him highly enough. His work is immaculate, precise and he totally understands the specs of each Interior Design job to the T. Once you find incredible crafts people, you stick with them. He always delivers!

We got Tom round to build a slim shoe storage unit in behind our front door. The quality of his workmanship was exceptional and we are very pleased. It’s going to look epic once painted. Strong recommend! 👌

Tom is a very reliable and skilled carpenter. He sorted out a tricky job for us where others may not have been willing. He did an absolutely beautiful job and we have been left with a very precisely built and smart wardrobe. He was super cheerful and bashed on independently and I would happily trust him with any other work we have. He was also bang on time and left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommend him to others but book him early as he’s in demand!

I've appointed Elm Carpentry on two jobs for my house. The first was a large remodelling of two rooms, installation of kitchen and associated works. I found Gary and the team really good to work with. They were forever present on the job, never a missed day. They were punctual. Tidied up the site well at the end of each day. And quality of their work was first rate. I also really appreciated the approach as they were always open to discuss changes to the scope and were happy to provide advice and guidance on all matters. Andy and Pete, with Nick and Graham, carried out our loft conversion this year and we are so happy with their work. What we liked best was their time-keeping (they ran exactly to schedule) and costing (they ran exactly to quote, except for some extras that we requested). As important was their pleasantness in working with. They are very courteous, great communication, and any problems were listened to carefully and a sensible solution found. Our project was quite large (dormer L-shape loft conversion, complete reroof, chimney repoint, 2 new bathrooms and fitted cupboards and wardrobes). Their workmanship is of a very high standard and we strongly recommend them.

Andy and Pete consistently confirmed that we'd made the right decision when we asked them to build a single storey extension onto the back of our house and a replacement porch. They were not only highly skilled, patient, honest, trustworthy and communicative, they (and their team) were just great people to have around. That's pretty vital when they are going to spend months on your project! They used their vast experience and network to quickly resolve any challenges which arose and have left us with a life changing extension that we enjoy each and every day. The gorgeous extension is filled with light due to an apex roof housing two Velux windows and a complete wall of bifold doors with glass gable end. The Utility Room houses our white goods at a raised level for ease of use and our very swanky porch (!) is rendered as per the bottom half of the entire house. Quite a transformation! For your interest I attach before, during and after photos of their work here in Chandler's Ford We would not hesitate to recommend them.

Updating my review following a second job completed by Pete and Andy - excellent job again, and can thoroughly recommend - the work that they do is of the highest quality, but they are also very good post-completion at coming back for any snagging - have always felt everything is well communicated and have stuck to quoted prices. No hesitation in recommending and would certainly use them again.

A few friends of ours recommended Bassett Carpentry for our kitchen extension. We couldn’t be happier with the work and would recommend them to anyone else. Our extension was not straight forward but Andy & Pete were so easy to deal with. They were honest and upfront with costs, and kept to the agreed price plans. Their team who completed the electrics and plumbing were also superb. We were very nervous as this was our first project, but Bassett Carpentry exceeded all expectations and did the perfect job. They also installed the kitchen itself, which we love. We are very grateful and actually missed having them around once the extension was complete! Thank you so much.

Ordered some shelf brackets from Jake, and couldn’t be happier with the service. He made them incredibly quickly without compromising on quality. The brackets themselves are excellent—well-made and sturdy. Jake communicated well throughout the process and made everything easy from start to finish. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend.

Jake and the team bought my vision for my media wall to life and I love it. Totally transformed my lounge. Jake spent time with me going through design thoughts from my Pinterest ideas. He then thoroughly measured the space and discussed options. Very quick turn around on the design and together we made a few tweaks until we landed on what was possible. Jake then worked with the fireplace suppliers TJ Cole’s and my electrician PJ electrics to plan with us all the best way to build and implement everything. The quality and finish of their joinery and products is amazing. Throughout the week it took to implement they were a pleasure to have around and left everything spotless between days. I would highly recommend them and when I decide on my next room conversion Jake and the team will be at the top of list to call.

Jake and his team are absolutely brilliant. Super-pleased with the end result. Jake designed and built a reception desk for our little business. Beautiful workmanship, great communication throughout. He is also a really nice guy, accommodating our needs to work out of normal working hours and just an absolute pleasure to work with.
