Peter Cowell’s landscape company is a professional and talented team. From the start Peter worked closely with myself designing my garden to my requirements. The results are excellent and we get so many passers by stopping and complimenting the design, even 4 years later. It really is a talking point. We could not be happier. Would highly recommend.

We contacted Peter as we knew his delightful wife Hannah from moving to a new house and needing some new lights. We were lucky to have a beautiful view from the quite small back garden over an open quarry. We'd decided to put in a glass fence to make the most of the view, but really needed help with what to do with the garden, that was small, flat and very boring. Peter was just so helpful in arranging to come and see us at a suitable time, and talking to us about how we planned to use the garden and how it would fit into our lifestyle. He really wanted to get to know us to make sure the garden would suit our taste and be a usable space the whole year round. His plan really impressed us from the start. He managed to zone the garden into different areas that all tied together, and yet managed to make the garden appear much larger than we thought it ever could. We wanted an easy to maintain and tranquil Japanese theme, with different hard surfaces and planted areas along with some moving water. Peter came up with a multi-level design that almost works like separate outdoor rooms. We wanted an outdoor seating area with some heating that we could in all weathers, and so Peter had several discussions with our son Henry who is an architect student. They jointly came up with an amazing pavilion, complete with gas-fired fire pit that works wonderfully, keeping us warm and dry outside whatever the weather. We also have a large decking area for eating, a barbeque area and even a small deck with a bistro table and 2 chairs - the perfect spot for an evening G&T admiring the views. Peter was also very keen for us to consider the lighting scheme very carefully, and his suggestions and designs for the outdoor lighting make the garden a magical place when the sun goes down. We also have 2 amazing water features that help to give the perfect feeling of calm and tranquility we were looking for. I would thoroughly recommend speaking to Peter if you are looking for someone who is very passionate about his craft, and will go the extra mile to give you the perfect results you are looking for. We are already looking forward to seeing what designs he might come up with for the front garden!!

From start to finish Peter offered us an excellent service. He involved us in all parts of the design process to ensure that we got everything just as we wanted. This is the second time we have used Peter to design our garden and he has now totally transformed the spaces in our front and back garden.

Peter was great and 'got' what we wanted right straight away, so much so that his initial designs were immediately accepted and there were hardly any changes throughout the construction phases. Very responsive to questions and very helpful throughout. Peter is very knowledgeable on all aspects of garden landscaping, from tiling, water features, paving and wall construction through to plant, tree and bush selection and planting. Would I use Peter again? Yep!

It’s hard to articulate just how much our family has benefitted from having our garden designed and landscaped by Peter! He listened to our hopes to have a welcoming family-friendly space that we could entertain guests and truly created the garden of our dreams. Couldn’t have asked for a better service- the craftsmanship and attention to detail was just impeccable. We absolutely adore the garden now and have had so many compliments from others too- would 100% recommend.
