What a great pub! We were looking for a fun spot with some energy and so many pubs in the neighborhood were pretty quiet. This one had a lot of young folks and international students/travelers. The upstairs is awesome with a large well-lit patio and a nice old bar room. Downstairs is more formal with elegant bar rooms. Landlord on cask in addition to plenty other draft beers. Finally tried Neck Oil which is everywhere and it was pretty darn good. Staff were young and friendly. Can’t recommend enough!

A Hidden Gem with Great Atmosphere and Excellent Food I recently visited The Carpenters Arms pub and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. This pub is a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The menu offers a fantastic range of classic pub dishes, all of which are clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The selection of drinks is impressive, with a good variety of craft beers, and an extensive wine list. What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about ensuring every guest had a great time. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Carpenters Arms, is definitely worth a visit. I’ll certainly be back!

Very nice Sunday roast except not enough potatoes, three potatoes is not enough by half. I would recommend you add a pound or two to the price and add more roasties. Staff were friendly, place was clean, candles were on. I wouldn't have bothered having the sport on TV though, would have been better with the fire on. Overall though very nice.

I got a Sunday roast from Too Good To Go, and it was a fantastic surprise! Portion-wise, there was plenty—tender roast meat, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a generous serving of vegetables with rich gravy. The taste was just as good as a proper dine-in meal, making it great value for money. Seeing what they had to offer, I might just visit for a proper Sunday lunch next time. It’s also great to know they’re participating in Too Good To Go, helping to reduce food waste while offering delicious meals at a bargain!
