We contracted Harry to build a new roof and install new floors for an extension we were having built on our house and I have nothing but good to say about him and his company. The work was simply exceptional, outstanding quality and nothing was a problem. If ever plans had to be tweaked Harry simply worked with the change and made proactive suggestions as to how to make things better. He was respectful and considerate, cleaning up at the end of every day and ensuring my house was secure if he left before I returned in an evening. Harry and his assistant Fred, always arrived on time, and worked long days to ensure everything was completed on deadline. I can whole heartedly recommend HL Thomson Carpentry and will certainly be using them again in the future.

Refurbishment of existing staircase and galleried landing in early 2024. Works comprised the removal of existing wrought iron balustrades, handrails and nosings and replacing with solid oak handrail, spindles, nosings and baserails. The existing newel posts and staircase strings were retained and clad in oak veneered boarding. The soffit of the top flight of stairs was similarly clad. Finally, new oak veneered treads and risers were installed to the existing staircase. The overall result has completely transformed the hallway and double height reception area and we’re exceptionally pleased with the end result. Harry was very professional and tidy throughout the project. His communication skills and time keeping were exemplary. His workmanship was of the highest quality. Nothing was too much problem. Highly recommended!

Please believe me when I say that Harry has literally built my roof with just him and his apprentice in 10 days. I can't recommend harry enough, his work ethic and his workmanship is 2nd to none.I will be recommending him to anyone I know who needs a carpenter.

Well what can I say about Harry and the How To Cut Limited team. They are true professionals and amazing at their job. Always willing to find a solution to get the job done which for us is very important. The work they turn out is to a very, very high standard, on time and on budget.
