“Absolutely brilliant! Pulled up with a weird (and frightening) noise coming from my car. I was 2 hours from home having been to see friends on the south coast. I'd looked to see if something had fallen off and could not see anything. The mechanic (sorry I didn't get your name) worked out it was the heat shield on my break disks in about 10 seconds. Fixed the problem in 30 minutes while I took my boys to the pub for a cofffee and some puddings. This was all on the Friday before the august bank holiday - so the RAC would probably have been a bit of a longer wait... The people who run the garage are charming. Finally, they charged me 30 quid. The coffee and puddings were 17. What more can you say?”
