We've tried a few garages in Dover all of which haven't had our full confidence so we spent time looking round for a garage/getting other peoples opinions. We could make our minds up till we walked in Empire Motors & immediately were confident this was the garage for us. It's clean, open plan so you can see what's going on, the guy that we spoke to was friendly, polite & efficient. He booked our car in for a service/front brakes & we didn't have a long wait before it had to bring back. He gave us a price & explained exactly what was done on the service they do. Admittedly it was slightly more expensive than some garages but they do more on their service than the cheaper ones & the cheaper ones don't tell you that!!!! When we collected it he explained what was done, showed us the parts he replaced (I really should book it in for regular services after seeing the state of the pollen filter!). He also picked up our battery needed replacing. We hadn't told him we knew that already, we just thought we'd see if they picked up on it. They charged the battery up as much as was possible whilst it was there at no cost too. The whole garage has a very professional, efficient, knowledgeable feeling to it. We've booked the car in again for the battery & other bits too. I'm so glad we waited, shopped around & found thus little gem of a garage.

Brilliant service! I took my Mini 50 Clubman in first thing this morning to have the rear brake pads replaced, done by 12.30pm., no more grinding noises!! The guys were friendly & helpful, will definitely use Empire Motors again.

Absoutely fantastic service from the first time we spoke to Dean good phone manner and very helpful quick response to our dilemma being stuck in Dover because our turbo pipe had split Dean ordered the part quickly and we had our car back by 3 o'clock the same day. Very impressed with the service and would highly recommend this garage on excellent work and very good price for the work and friendly service.

A brilliant service from the staff. Excellent. Professional. Going above and beyond to get my motorhome fixed. The staff members even showed me diagrams and pictures of what they need to order. Once the order had arrived a few days later I drove back in. The gentleman mechanic did the fixing underneath for me and now my old motorhome is back up and running. The whole staff are genuine. Professional. Understanding. All are very knowledgeable on ever vehicle. Excellent from start to finish.

I highly recommend AT Garage services. I took my suzuki vitara for a service and it was completed in good time for a great price. They also saved me a lot of money carrying out a repair on my fiesta after the main dealer had quoted a high price to replace the part.

Never known such integrity and honesty from a garage, a genuinely first class bunch of guys! Been using them for a few years now, very reasonable prices, quality work and you never feel like you’re getting shafted for work that doesn’t really need doing. Would recommend over and over.

We took 1 motorhome 1 skoda fabia for MOT services.. The staff are excellent the staff give full instructions on what to expect. They advise on any problems . The mechanics are 100% knowledgeable on every vehicle they deal with. They certainly go above and beyond with great information incredible staff and there's even a cafe 50m away if you want to wait . Our vehicles took afew hours so we went home . You do have the option of staying put and a bacon butty with a brew. This garage AT garage Dover. can't fault a single thing. I live in France, but i'm moving to the UK. So, I swapped my French car for a UK car with a guy in Lyon. However, the MOT ran out in March, so in April I decided to drive to the UK to get an MOT (using the shortest route of course - that was 2361km round trip!). My ferry was massively delayed at Calais, so I called and explained. No problem at all, bumped it on a few hours to a spot later in the afternoon. The added complication was my battery went flat on the ferry, because the alarm went nuts due to the extremely choppy sea. The battery probably wasn't good as the car had been sitting in a field doing nothing for 6+ months. Luckily the Irish Ferries guys got me started again with their booster thingy. But....I did say to Jonno at Coombe Valley...."That's my car there, if I turn the engine off, it may never start again....is that a problem?". Jonno said "Not a problem, we can get it started again, but it'll be fine". Indeed it was fine, MOT passed, so I could tax it right away. This day was actually my (rather significant) birthday, although not the usual thing one does to celebrate, it felt amazing. I did go on to Brighton later on and had a superb night out with a close friend, so I'm not a total saddo. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure there are no ANPR cameras between the ferry port and Coombe Valley MOT. So if you have been out of the UK for a while and need get your motor legal ASAP, this is your best route.

Very busy garage but still manage to go the extra mile and give excellent customer service. I went in for air con regas, they were mad busy and they found the time to inflate my tyres too! Highly recommend

Mark came to the rescue with his knowledge, experience and genuine interest in fixing my car, after I had a total nightmare at H*******. I wouldn’t let anyone else fix my car now. Mark is building his brand, and I trust him as he committed to diagnosing the real issues and fixing them using the best parts and his skilled labour - he’s the perfect combination as he’s fair and reasonable. I couldn’t recommend a mechanic any more than him - he’s the best.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish. Needed all 4 sets of break pads and discs doing mark completed this to a very high standard. Was very thorough and informative throughout the whole process supplying me with before and after photos. Value for money was brilliant.

Booked in to have a new tyre fitted and two of the other ones swapped on their rims. I requested the air pressure I wanted but was told that they are obliged to inflate to the pressure detailed on the sticker on the door post. Unfortunately, they still managed to inflate all three to 14psi less than recommended which I discovered when I got home so I had to go back out and inflate them properly. Not ideal. Other than that all good.

At last a garage you can trust. The owner Steve is a very pleasant, helpful chap who knows his cars inside out. He has a wealth of knowledge due to a lifetime of experience in engineering. He performed a cambelt and water pump change on the Audi for a great price and squeezed it in at short notice. I can highly recommend Goldsmith's Garage, a true professional.
