Absolutely love this place. Me and my boyfriend have been there a few times now, very reasonably priced, excellent coffee they have darkwoods and the service is wonderful. we have brought his family a few times aswell and they all enjoy it. The food selection is just perfect for lunch and my partner keeps coming back for the salmon sandwich.

What an absolute hidden gem of a coffee shop. Lovely darkwoods coffee being served, very friendly staff. A lovely peaceful coffee shop, somewhere I’d definitely come again. Thank you!

Really lovely food. Great veggie and vegan selection too. Great service. Only downstairs is it's quite loud inside so not always easy to hear.

Please go here. The place is so good. The food is super tasty and they make it look amazing. Went here many times and it never disappoints. The coffee tastes lovely and the cups are compostable!! And they had good gluten free options! The only issue is that the place is kinda tiny even if it looks beautiful. This only really became an issue with their bathroom which is super cramped. The only other issue that i could kinda argue is that the place felt very LGBT. The staff all presented very strongly as such, they should be producing skittles with all that rainbow, If they were a tv theyd be LGTV+, if the amount of zest in that room was captured it’d be a whole citrus orchard. If that’s an issue to you it’s your loss but know its there. +theyre dog friendly

We absolutely love this place!!! Great coffee, friendly staff, beautiful dried flowers, and in our opinion the best food in the area. (The kimcheese toastie is out of this world delicious.)

Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room

Rating: 4.9 (196) Price Level:
We've been here twice now for lunch ( both times we had the hot pork roll , chips and gravy ), and both times, the food (huge portions and extremely delicious) , the staff , and the service here have been amazing. We'll definitely be back when in the area again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely place, full of last of the summer wine pictures and ornaments. The staff are very nice. The breakfast I had was great, I went for the big batty special.
Rating: 5 / 5
I visited today and had the lemon drizzle cake and coffee which was delicious. I was served straight away and the lady was really nice and polite. She got me a table straight away and brought my cake and coffee over to me. I love the pictures of last of the summer wine are on the walls of the tearoom, it really does add character to the name of the tea room itself. I would definitely recommend this place and I would like to come again, if I'm in Holmfirth again in the near future.
Rating: 5 / 5
Good prices considering it's association with Last of the Summer Wine. Great Coffee and a nice big Teacake that our Sandwiches came in. Friendly Staff. Highly recommended. Access is at street level from the main road if the stone steps at the riverside are too much for you.

The Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room is nothing short of a hidden gem. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear this charming tea room prides itself on providing both exceptional food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was an absolute treat—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re enjoying a light lunch or indulging in a decadent afternoon tea, the flavors never disappoint. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service we received from Katie. She went above and beyond in making our visit memorable. Not only was she attentive and friendly, but she also took the time to share recommendations for local sights, including tips on filming locations from Last of the Summer Wine. Her passion for the area was infectious, and it added such a personal touch to our experience. As if that wasn't enough, my father was celebrating his birthday, and Katie surprised him with a cake and a candle—such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that truly made the day feel special. The Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room is more than just a café; it’s a place where good food and outstanding service come together to create a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or visiting the area, this delightful tea room is a must-visit. We will definitely be back!

A great use of the former bank which gives it a nice vibe. The food offering is a bit different to other cafes and the quality is good with plenty of choices for teas and coffees. They will have to improve their speed of service but I’m sure that will come in good time. Will definitely return.

Wow what a warm welcome! The coffee was the best I've had in a very long time. Very smooth and rich. Can't wait to try the food. The menu looks so interesting and tasty. It might take a few visits to decide which will be my favourite. Wishing Rochelle and her family every success.

We went for the first time today but it wont be the last. Food and service were excellent and to top it all my husband left his reading glasses. Without hesitation they said they would post them to us without charge for postage! That sums up the quality of service from this very busy little cafe. Top marks and thank you for everything. X

Hidden away beside a small river in the middle of Holmfirth sits a jewel known only to the locals and a few passers by. Holme Coffee House is a little sanctuary from the chill after your walk with your canine friend. The friendly service, the soft lighting and the good music are the first things that welcome you, but the great coffee and amazing food will make you come back. Freshly cooked sausage and egg on a soft warm ciabatta with a small pot of brown sauce, I was even given a separate sausage for Trixie, nicely chopped up for her convenience. If you ever find yourself in Holmfirth, give them a visit and show them some love

LOVE IT my new all-time fav Fancy a good coffee surrounded by art and plants? WHICH YOU CAN BUY? yes, yes you do. The girls working the day I went were so lovely and I stayed probably an hour, browsing their HUGE selection of items from different crafts for sale and the back has items too to see. Definitely worth the visit! You won’t regret it.
Rating: 5 / 5
The coffee flavour was inconsistent between large latte (perfect, strong and aromatic) and regular latte (milky). The regular one was drinkable just not fab. Quite a few cakes on display. Nice atmosphere and a large assortment of crafty/artistic items to get inspiration from or buy. Entrance is from the main street, free customer parking is at the rear and cafe is dog friendly inside. Nice service. Will come again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Good food, lovey people, pleasant experience! Love the vibe it's definitely a must go. Got a painting and wondering who the artist is. Excellent work!
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely food. Somewhere that bakes cakes and scones that are home-made, so not overly sweet. Unlike the ultra-processed, uniformly pretty but deadly ones you get in most coffee shops. Selection of savoury, hot food that is healthy enough to be guilt-free but not that healthy you don't actually want to eat it. A real balancing act. Great customer service too. Sells locally made gifts so helps keep money in the community. Parking behind the mill.

Yellow Bear. The Coffee Roasters
Hollowgate, Holmfirth HD9 2DG, UK | N/A P: 07497 616737
Rating: 4.9 (62) Price Level:
I don't usually do online reviews, but this place is exceptional 👌🏻 coffee roasted and made with real passion and knowledge. It's fantastic, and the owners take the time to really understand what type of coffee you enjoy, even when you don't know how to articulate it! Much kudos for xmas presents is really down to these guys🫡 And if you're staying in for a coffee, there's no better place in Holmfirth to chew the fat, dry out, unwind and soak up the chilled atmosphere from collective like minded folk you'll be sat next too. I cant rate this place highly enough. Very, very good! 👍🏻
Rating: 5 / 5
BEST coffee in Yorkshire! You heard it here first. I get all my beans here for DIY coffee midweek. (Once you go Yellow Bear, you never go back). Perfect spot also if you head into the shop for a nicely brewed coffee by Fran who selects and hand roasts all the coffee served here.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very pleasant house blend flatwhite served with flair. Gattania Colombian was complex and flavoursome... notes of Maltese, nougat and hazelnut. Excellent find in Holmfirth.

We've been today(the ones from Azerbaijan) and got iced coffees which were absolutely lovely! The guy is very friendly, welcoming, keeps everything tidy and makes high quality coffee. Glad that we decided to pop into this coffee shop, will definitely come back each time we visit Holmfirth!

A great addition to Holmfirth! An amazing option of croissants and top quality coffee! And a 5 star friendly service to go alongside it. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend this to everyone to drop it and try!
Rating: 5 / 5
Great little shop to stop off at for a coffee and pastry. Was roaming around Holmfirth and saw Graham's had opened up. Thought we'd give it a go. We tried a honeycomb matcha drink and an almond croissant. Excellent quality food and drink. The people running it are wonderful too. So friendly and nice to chat to while you wait. They've done a great job with the space and I look forward to visiting again when next in that direction.

A warm welcome here first thing this Saturday morning. The coffee was excellent as was the almond and plain croissants, quality. This appears to be a new venture which if they keep up these standards will do very well indeed. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous buns and genuinely one of the best coffees I’ve had. Please don’t ever close!!

Ribbles of Holmfirth
27 Hollowgate, Holmfirth HD9 2DG, UK | Cafe P: Not available
Rating: 4.8 (230) Price Level:
Quirky cafe with upstairs seating as well as downstairs. They have homemade jewellery and other items for sale as well. I liked the pictures of book titles in the toilet. They also had sanitary items and nappies which is a nice touch. Small but tasty menu. We had the Greek salad and quiche. They finish serving food at 2pm. Friendly staff. They also do a breakfast menu until 11.30am.
Rating: 5 / 5
Warmed up in here mid bike-ride We couldn't have had a better lunch break! The staff were so lovely: they couldn't have done enough for us, checking we had enough blankets and warm drinks. The upstairs was cozy like a homely living room, very quaintly decorated, and the toasties we had filled the spot! Thanks a lot Rubbles, highly recommended
Rating: 5 / 5
Gorgeous place. Cosy, affordable and delicious food and drink. Portion sizes are fabulous! You get a lot of tea. Decaf option was available too which was amazing ! I recommend their brownies and scones - they provide butter , cream and jam in separate pots for you to use! Amazing customer service- super friendly , affable and sweet :) thank you both 🖤

Fabulous spot. I visited here with a couple friends after doing a local hike and we were all equally impressed with Ribbles of Holmfirth. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a warm welcome from the lady behind the counter (sorry I never got your name!). Great drinks, even better food, beautiful surroundings. It made a wonderful change having some older music on in the background, such a nice place to be. I had a hash stack and everything was cooked to perfection. Full of flavour and all at a great price. I was very surprised when going upstairs to the bathroom that there's another floor to sit within too. The bathroom was also clean and tidy, finished off with individual hand towels which is a very welcome addition. Overall we loved it here and will return in the future without hesitation.

Poppies Coffee Lounge

Rating: 4.9 (8) Price Level:
This is a lovely little café with friendly, down-to-earth staff. They do a nice range of snacks, and it's encouraging to find a hospital which still has an independent café, instead of an outlet belonging to a certain exorbitant global chain which is best left unnamed.
Rating: 5 / 5
Just love it here, Mel and her husband work so hard
Rating: 5 / 5
Popped in for a coffee after an appointment at the hospital. It's a beautifully set out place, with a room to either side of a central counter. It used to be run by a local charity, but when they pulled out, the lady running it stayed on to keep it open. They do nice coffees (decaf available), fruit teacakes, and freshly made sandwiches including your traditional bacon and/or sausage. Couldn't resist a slice of homemade cake, which I got to take out - tasty and moist, and very reasonably priced. I need to go back again! The shop has reminders of the hospital's history, with commemorative plaques to mark people sponsoring cots in the maternity ward, before the NHS. A little piece of history, and a great spot for a break.

We called in on a really wet rainy day. We're so pleased we did. We ate lunch here and the pulled pork wrap and chicken with sweet chili panini. Both were saved on a chopping board with fresh mixed leaves salad, pomegranate. Everything burst with flavour. We also drank two flat white coffees which were nice and strong in a large cup. All the staff were very friendly and everywhere very clean. We definitely will call in for another lunch. The portions and cost was extremely reasonable too. We sat upstairs and watched the world pass by.
