Very lovely place with helpful staff and good quality coffee and food. When we arrived it was empty, but soon filled up again after we had been seated. The coffee was great and our dog Haru received his bacon biscuit before our food was served. Thankfully he still hadn't finished it by the time our food arrived, which is always a good quality for a dog treat. The BLT was very fresh with high quality bacon. Also, there was built-in places to tether Haru so that he couldn't cause any trouble.

We've just finished a beautiful meal here. Lovely cozy surroundings with a roaring fire. We went for the 2 steak Thursday special, 2 steaks, mushroom, hand cooked chunky chips, and peppercorn sauce and OMG It was amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the peppercorn sauce had just the right amount of bite and the chunky chips were huge. I'm so stuffed! My wife had the cheese pie with peas chips and gravy and said it was magnificent. Full marks to the chef, James it was absolutely gorgeous and very reasonably priced. The steak offer was only £40 for 2 and included a full bottle of wine. We'll definitely be back!

Had Christmas lunch here for four people and Charlie the cocker spaniel. Lovely service from the world renowned Becky. Generous portions all round and very tasty. Sticky Toffee pudding was exceptional. An all round brilliant afternoon from the new landlords David & Rachel (and Mr Stanley the dog)

The Hinchcliffe Arms have just helped us start off our Annual Turkey Run that is a tradition of Mythemroyd every year, That is a mystery trip taking in as many pubs on a non disclosed route in a a 33 seater coach. We’ve got to say from initially asking if they would cook us a Breakfast & help us start our Turkey Run they were very obliging and outstanding hosts to set us up for the day ahead. They catered for 33 gentlemen on an early Saturday in December on run up to Christmas. The staff were up very early in the morning to provide an exceptional breakfast and great ale the open fires were lit and made it very welcoming. We left for the day ahead very content and returned after our journey to carry the evening on with more drinks. In sum up 5* service from Bar staff & kitchen staff, great atmosphere, fantastic hospitality well worth a visit Hidden Gem 👍🏼. Personally been back since with our dog to experience the food in an evening and it was amazing 🤩 even did a meal for Poppy. Well done thanks for everything

Very nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating out the back near to the river. Service is a bit slow but staff are very well organised from a Covid point of view. They take your details, wear masks and thoroughly clean tables after use. Food was well prepared. Toilets inside upstairs were very clean.

I attended a private function at The Baytree yesterday and it was fantastic. The staff are super friendly, very helpful and happy to accommodate you in any way they can. Will definitely be going again. The food they provided was beautiful, all fresh and very flavorful! There is also public car park directly across the road, but also many other parking spots within a walkable distance.

The Bay Tree in Hebden Bridge is a gem for burger lovers. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a great dining experience. The service is attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home—especially if you’re visiting with your furry friend, as the restaurant is wonderfully dog-friendly. Now, onto the food! The burgers are simply exceptional. The standout for us was the Moo and Blue Burger—a perfect balance of juicy beef, rich blue cheese, and fresh accompaniments. One of the highlights is that they ask how you’d like your burger cooked, an often-overlooked detail that elevates the dining experience. The seasoned chips are another must-mention. Crispy, flavorful, and expertly cooked, they complement the burger beautifully. Every bite feels like it’s been crafted with care, and the portion sizes are generous. Overall, The Bay Tree offers not just a meal but an experience—delicious food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. If you’re in Hebden Bridge, make sure to stop by; you won’t be disappointed.

We came here for breakfast for 2 days running. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast on both days. The sausages were very nice and we were told they were vegan and gluten free. Breakfasts are made to order so everything is fresh to the table. Lovely place, lovely people, will be back next time we visit

Great foods. Great atmosphere all for a brilliant price. Enjoyed it myself and my parents. Definitely a great place to eat and drink in Hebden Bridge. Food on my pictures flatbeds Cajun chicken, chicken and chorizo and Swedish meatballs. Good selection of specials and really nice cakes to finish off.

Absolutely beautiful cafe - lovely warm atmosphere, comfy seats, great view out onto Hebden's main square. Very friendly, accommodating staff who are more than happy to help and chat! Great food too - nice selection of hot food, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes etc. Very good value too for such a gorgeous place - £28 for two meals and two drinks.

“Great place for coffee and lunch. Tasty food and nice staff.”

First time visiting Hebden Bridge and wanted a brew before walking around so popped into this warm and friendly little cafe. Got a table straight away inside and decided to try the breakfasts as well as a chai latte. I ordered the maple bacon pancakes which were nice though had a little too much maple syrup over everything - I would've preferred if the syrup was on the side so I could pour the amount I wanted (just an idea). I'm also not sure it was real maple or a cheap syrup. Otherwise, the place is charming and the staff were pleasant and fast serving the food. The decor looked familiar, and I remembered it from an interior design show a few years back, though it looks a little dated now. I would go back for the hot drinks and maybe some cakes which looked nice.

Nice sandwiches (albeit at £9+ each - always prepared to give these things a try as don’t mind paying for top quality). Stuffing ball on my chicken Christmas special was a bit hard and dry though. Wouldn’t have left a review at all but took 33 minutes from placing take out order to receiving food which seems less than ideal - (perhaps that is not normally the case but I’m sure the owner would welcome constructive feedback).

At relatively short notice I asked Hebden Sarnies to make packed lunches for a group I brought to Hebden for five day walking holiday. They happily obliged, and produced delicious sandwiches and scrumptious cakes for us. The whole group was full of praise for the quality, the quantity and the taste of what was on offer. We'd recommend Hebden Sarnies to anyone wanting tasty food. Thanks guys. Keith

I find it annoying that people complain about the froth on a coffee, the cheese on toast etc as if they are some world famous food critic. Try running a small business, particularly one that involves catering!! Your comments, worthless though they are can have a profound impact so let's do a real review. Here's what I think. Coffee Cali is a clean, hospitable coffee shop in a great location. I can't comment on the food because we only had coffee but it was a very welcome perfectly acceptable coffee at a reasonable price. It was served quickly with a smile and some pleasantries. Sat outside on the courtyard was a delight. OK, even though it may be wet now, the sun was shinning, the company was relaxed and congenial with different people from locals, tourists, cyclists and hikers all enjoying themselves and chatting amicably. What I really appreciated was for those who were with dogs, staff appeared with bowls of water. We had no time to go inside other than to use rest rooms which were well above the average. Our stop was great, especially after having spent over an hour crossing " 't top ot world ova 't Pennines" for a little piece of classic old world Yorkshire. Add to that the stress of finding a parking space in one of the many but small and well hidden car parks. Thank you Coffee Cali. I didn't take any pictures other than one of the road. There are some other pics of Hebden itself.

Great coffee, great service! We’re only sorry we didn’t stay for a bite to eat. We had a dirty chai latte with oat milk to take out and it was sublime, if a little tepid. Will ask for “extra hot” next time, especially when it was so cold out! Would recommend to a friend and will visit again.

There are a few coffee shops in town and we chose this one based on previous reviews. Managed to get a nice table downstairs by the window. Good selection of drinks/food/cakes. I got a latte which was very nice. My wife doesn't drink coffee and asked if she could just get a steamed milk with syrup in. The girl serving didn't even pause and just said 'of course' which was greatly appreciated. We also got a Bakewell slice which was good, and also a piece of the salted caramel coffee cake, which was really good. Big piece and really fresh tasting cake with good flavour. They have a few more tables upstairs as well as a toilet. Would definitely recommend this place.
