I finally got a chance to check out Roost today after passing by several times. I am so grateful to find a dedicated gluten free cafe as there are few options available locally. Some places may offer gluten free ingredients but there is always a fear of a mistake or cross-contamination. The peace of mind when ordering here is the most positive dining out experience I can recall since the problem was diagnosed a couple of years ago. The breakfast menu is available all day and there are a number of sharing platters for brunch and lots of other sweet and savoury dishes to try. The drinks menu was diverse and I was tempted by the Mint Matcha latte (very good!) The prices were well within the standard range and compete favourably with the usual coffee shop chains. It was refreshing to know that Roost is an independent company and they clearly care about their ingredients and their staff. The shop was very clean, cosy and tastefully designed. I liked the nice little touches such as the box of ‘wobble wedges’ to correct any wonky tables, and a selection of books and magazines to look at. It was busy yet still felt restful. I found a table with a window seat and the service was great. Easily the best breakfast I’ve had in ages. I hope to get back here again soon to try out the cakes or a waffle, or maybe both :-)
Fancied Brekki out as had a big night. Went for the beans on toast. As you can see from pic not what you expect. However was delicious. Staff very friendly, was greeted as soon as I walked in! Helped me out with lots of cold water 🥴 Wife had a decaf tea which she says was good. She had eggs on toast and I agree the eggs were just warm. Parking is on the street if you’re lucky or in the pay parking opposite behind the Co-op. Would I go again. Probably not £30 seems a tad expensive for 2 drinks and food.
Such a lovely coffee place, amazing staff. Coffee and food to die for, had an americano and a Feta and Bacon wrap, it was delicious. My partner had green tea and Berry Waffles, very tasty.
Food is fresh, vibrant and healthy. Excellent quality. Great service, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
