Great cafe in the heart of Portchester. Always welcoming, great selection on the menu. Can highly recommend either the toasted tea cake or crumpets!!! Coffee is good here. First visit this weekend since the whole covid malarkey. Tables spaced well, sanitiser available. NHS qr code in use. Great place for a quick bite.

Staff great but as seems to be the way with cafes now to many tables making it crowded.

A superb range of Toasties, Panini’s, Jacket Potatoes, coffees and cakes. A delight.

Quaint tea room attached to the church. We had cakes, tea and coffee. The cakes were superb. The place seems to be run by volunteers and it gave a friendly and wholesome vibe. Was very glad we stopped there - a bit of a hidden gem to be honest. You can eat in the tea room or in the back of the attached church. I recommend the latter!

Situated within the grounds of Portchester Castle, which is well worth visiting. This is a lovely tea room operated by volunteers who are fabulous. There is an excellent selection of sandwiches, hot & cold drinks,meals & cakes.. I had a cracking bacon sandwich , followed by a cream tea. Can't be beaten!!

A fabulous selection of home made food. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Lesley who served us today. The pies are sought after and probably the best in the area

Some delicious food and cakes served with exceptionally good prices. You can sit inside the church or outside on the chairs and tables. With the view of the inside of the church or portchester castle if you’re sitting outside, friendly staff serving too, we’ll definitely be going back. You can also take your Dog inside into the church too. 🐕‍🦺

Been here a couple of times now thanks to family buying us gift vouchers. Serving breakfast and lunch by the water, the Salt Cafe in Portchester is a real hidden gem. Good size breakfast, with vegetarian and vegan options, excellent coffee and a takeaway brownie to die for. Plenty of reserved parking around the Marina but do book as can get busy most mornings. Oh and it's dog friendly inside and out.

There’s never a bad day when you start it at Salt Café. A yummy breakfast with beautiful view over Portsmouth. Ellie and her team are always ready to help; a job well done so keep up with the great work

Came in with my partner and sister for a lovely breakfast. A little wait, but it was busy so the view definitely made up for it. Really friendly staff and have been before, and will be going back again. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare at times, but I don’t believe this is down to the cafes fault.

A unique restaurant as it was a bit hidden. My son loves it and he wanted to come back next time. Food is very nice and affordable. Staffs are very helpful and approchable.

This was our first visit to The Dovecoat Eatery on a busy Thursday before Easter. The staff were super friendly and efficient and all the food was lovely. Very reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit and we will be going back again very soon.

Been meaning to visit for ages as I’ve heard lots of good things and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were really nice and the food was lovely at such a reasonable price. The Veggie Muffin was filling and very yummy. The atmosphere and decor was good whether your upstairs, downstairs or outside. Lots of parking marked with a Dovecote sign. You can book or turn up on the day. We turned up just after opening on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables free. Will be definitely coming back!

A fantastic experience. Made to feel extremely welcome every time i have been to the Seagull and cannot recommend it enough. Great beer selection and friendly environment. Pool tables and darts board available for use and live sports to go with it. Will be coming back to the seagull again very soon. Great work

Nice food & massive portions. We used our Tesco club card vouchers for hungry horse and decided to visit here. We will definitely visit again. I ordered the southern fried chicken skewers with sweet potato fries and Mexican pasta. My partner ordered the Katsu style platter. We shared the donut for dessert and it was delicious!

I came in for a meal for my brothers birthday on the 20th of February. The service was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere for the day. Would highly recommend, the food was fresh and piping hot and the staff were amazing and all very inclusive

Tried the new menu today had the Spicy Brisket and Birria Dip Tacos was really good. The quality and portion with combo of the salsa and chips with the tacos and dipping sauce delicious. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed it here. Visited for my son's 10th birthday after searching for the best family restaurants. We were looked after by Beth who was very attentive. We eat tapas and drank cocktails. Tapas was lovely. Fun atmosphere and my son loved it, especially the giant sundae with a candle and everyone singing happy birthday 🎂

A good selection of freshly cooked food served with a smile. Decor is eclectic with mismatched chairs, a variety of individually decorated tables and some interesting pictures on the walls. They have a range of games and colouring materials for restless children or adults.

Impromptu late lunch with family. We all ordered something different from the menu, and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. 😋 All the staff that tended to us were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable at the time we were there (Thursday afternoon) and lovely sunshine coming through the windows (we were lucky!). Our pooch was made very welcome too, with water and treats. 🐕 We will look forward to our next visit to the Cams Mill!

Recently refurbished and has a modern but cozy atmosphere. Staff always very attentive and friendly with prompt service. Prices have gone up since the refurbishment and the price for a raspberry parfait about the size of a tablespoon at £8.50 is taking the p. Overall though a nice place to visit with a large outdoor patio for the warm summer days ahead.

First ever visit by my wife and I. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Also the staff were careful to check the menu choice as my wife has a nut allergy. We were very well looked after by Kelly and Tracy. We had a spritz, 2 main meals (fish pie and chicken schnitzel), garlic cheesy bread, a sticky toffee pud and coffee and all were excellent.
