FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. Lovely, friendly service. We had a lovely seat outside overlooking the fields/farm on a nice sunny day. This is absolutely a hidden Gem and the ladies running it deserve all the praise. Good delicious and presented with care. They do an amazing ploughman’s and special shout out for the homemade scones! Value for money too which is an added bonus. We can’t wait to come back, thank you!i

Chrissie is very friendly and polite. We always feel very welcomed. Food is fresh and tasty. We love both inside and outside of the tea room. We can feel that they run the tea room from the heart. The decorations inside are very beautiful and the outside is spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Quaint hidden gem in Hook on a working farm. Surroundings thankfully untouched by all the new build houses going up. Small but delicious menu. A few gift items if one wants to buy. Food price okay. Limited seating but decent parking. Lovely ambience. Met some friendly locals. Greeted by Chrissy who provided excellent service. All in all an enjoyable experience and would recommend. Oh and yes table No. 3. They should tax all the electric cars and give the petrol/diesel cars a tax break! 😂

Freshly made food quiet and a very nice atmosphire. Lots of gifts and trinkets and the staff were very interesting to talk to. Apparently there are tables and chairs outside and you can watch the lambs.

Cracking breakfast! Lots of choice, breakfast size to suit everyone. Hubby had all-day breakfast, which included his favourite, the fried slice. I had breakfast number 2. All the food was hot. Very reasonably priced. Everyone was really friendly. 😊 We couldn't quite eat everything, so the dog got some too! Thanks.

Typical trucker caf in decor and typical range of fare available. Food and tea delicious - amazing, it really hit the spot! ☺ We had bacon, sausage, egg & mushroon rolls. The owner even went out to the shops to get more mushrooms for us. Very impressed. All the staff really attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend. 😊

Amazing little cafe, wonderful staff, a hidden little gem. If you like a little cafe, with great staff, fantastic food at amazing prices then this should be your go too. Loads of parking at the rear, so car clubs, bikers all add it to your list … They even stayed open late today for our daughter who wanted to have here 18th Birthday lunch there because she loves it so much. Laura and the girls did a wonderful job thank you and she had a truly wonderful lunch. Thank all at ‘The Shack’

Wow first time here. What a lovely cafe. Staff very helpful. Loads of free parking. Been on this site run by the same family since 1922. Not to far off of the M3 ideal stopping off point on the way down to the West Country.

I’m a YouTuber so I go to a lot of cafés and restaurants, but this was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had for a long time! The staff were amazing!

Brilliant Cafe, friendly staff, nice and warm on a chilly winter day. Stopped in for lunch midweek which was much quieter than mid morning had been. The menu choices looked excellent and the food and drinks were really good quality, nicely cooked and all fresh ingredients. We had a full breakfast with a few swaps and a vegan breakfast. For the quality the price was very reasonable, especially as it included a drink. Delicious :)

The coffee is as expected from a large chain. Costa is my coffee shop of choice and this one suits my journey some days. The staff here are very helpful and the guest areas are always clean and comfortable.
