We had such a exceptional, delicious meal at the Wellhouse tonight. The bao buns and steak were exeptional. The perfect balance of high quality food that doesn't take itself too seriously made a perfect evening, all locally grown and reared food. Our evening was made even more special by our chef, Charlie, who not only served our food, but also invited us into his kitchen for a personalised tour. Plus, he let us make a valentines wish in the very deep well under the restaurant. Spectacular!. Such a memorable evening made by a fantastic young and passionate chef. Thank you!

Cute little spot I only got a few things because I went by myself but I enjoyed it all! The smoked trout appetizer was yummy but nothing special I loved the braised red cabbage and loved the lamb birria curry tacos the charcoal tortillas were amazing. And I topped it off with some of the cabbage it was perfect

Amazing dining experience at the Wellhouse. The food was unbeatable and the service and atmosphere matched this perfectly. Tom, Ed, Emily and Josyan delivered an amazing service and we can’t wait to come back. The food was beyond delicious.

My wife and I had the porterhouse steak with red cabbage, hasselback potatoes and roasted parsnips. The steak was brought to the table with your choice of butter. The butter was then melted with hot coals from the BBQ. Smoked filled the room and it was a feast for the eyes and mouth. This was the best steak I have eaten. It might just have been in that moment but we both said we would make the 2hr drive just to come back for dinner. It was a reasonable price, £90 for the steak with two sides and the meal very filling.

It’s not often that you leave a review because you don’t always have time. But sometimes when a restaurant is so outstanding you need to. This place is phenomenal. It outshone the hotel which was indeed very nice. The food was some of the most delicious, unpretentious food we have ever had and believe me we have eaten out a lot. The vegetable dishes almost out-shone the brilliant meat dishes. I was so full but couldn’t pass up dessert. Special mention goes to the bread and tandoori butter that came out sporting a piece of hot charcoal. It was unbelievably delicious. Not to mention the flatbread with the gorgeous garden tomatos and burrata. Please do yourself a favour and if you are anywhere near this establishment, run, don’t walk! Quick mention of praise also for the chefs that come and introduce their wonderful dishes to you. Loved every moment. Thanks so much for having us.
