The Best Cafes in Ampfield, Hampshire, United Kingdom (2025)

To the guy who worked 27th dec all by himself, was amazing. I’ve recently moved to the area and my partner and I found this coffee shop, it’s so lovely and it was the second time we went today. The gentleman was all by himself and he worked very hard even though it was super busy. Overall, service and coffee was EXCELLENT 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Poped in for a quick coffee, and was delighted to see they have Pasteis de Nata, or Portugese Custard tarts. Coffee was very good, and didn't have the bitter after taste of some brands. Nata was also excellent. They also had quite a range of other cakes, to tempt you. Oh and the cups were the same colour.

Fast becoming our favourite coffee shop in Romsey. Coffee is really tasty. Selection of fresh cakes is amazing (the Christmas brownie was beautiful) A really chilled out vibe. It's definitely snug inside but this adds to the atmosphere.

Best carrot cake I have ever had in my life. My husband enjoyed his sausage roll. Nice coffee too! ☕

Lovely small and locally owned cafe which I always prefer to the national chains. Food cooked fresh to order and the coffee is nice too.

Awesome little cafe with delicious food... And of course an amazing cuppa. My friend also enjoyed his mocha very much. The staff were really friendly, helpful and chatty. They had an amazing selection of delicious cakes too. I had the Jaffa Cake which was moist and really tasty. Will definitely be back!

We ate here as it was dog friendly. There was some confusion over the prices as without wearing glasses the 5 looked like a 3 on the menu. The staff said other customers had been confused by this also. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly.

Had the best experience at cafe fresh. Went in as a group of 8 was easy to pre book a table and every single staff member working we’re absolutely amazing! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly throughout our time there and the food was delicious. Thank you so much for having us we had the best time and to all the staff that made it enjoyable for us all.

Caffè Nero in Romsey is in a lovely location, and has some great tables overlooking the high-street. The coffee is always nice and the staff are friendly. I do however feel the food options have become increasingly expensive and have definitely shrunk in size too, so I now just go for coffee instead of getting a cake too. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a quick coffee.

Staff are incredibly friendly and polite, service is quick. The cafe in general has a cosy environment. Had the Italian tiramisu and the tiramisu latte, will definitely become a regular to this place
